Well, he gained popularity initially by starring in the show Kung Fu, which is speculated to have originally been dreamed up by Bruce Lee and others which was going to star Lee, but ended up casting Carradine. It's believed by casting a Caucasian actor, the show would do better as a Chinese actor like Lee wasn't quite accepted yet.
But also all depends on how much you believe Linda Lee's memoirs, I guess. So insult to injury, the Bangkok Post is reporting Carradine accidentally strangled himself partaking in autoerotic asphyxiation writing that a shoelace was found tied around his neck and penis.

Wow, this came as a surprise. Haven't heard anything from the guy in a while and now he shows up dead. That sucks. He also starred in the "Kungfu: The Legend Continues" TV series years ago, which I used to watch all the time. R.I.P. Dave. |
