I just saw a TV spot for this movie, and I am definitely on board for seeing it when it comes out. I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but I have been a fan of groups like the Marlovians and others. The theory that Marlowe, a former secret agent for the Queen, faked his own death, exiled himself, and wrote the plays with Shakespeare's name on them is this really romanticized idea I like, especially when you consider how many of the heroes in Shakespeare's plays are people far from home who miss their land so much. It's just sort of amazing that you can easily disprove that the Bard wrote all of these works himself. His effigy is already a massive question mark. They list him as a merchant and not writer or playwright. Anyway, movie! This one addresses the theory that Shakespeare's plays may have been written by Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford. I'ma see it!  |
