When this thread was created, the game wasn't out. Now that it is, i'm using my fantastic Admin powers to revitalize it. ~Ahem I borrowed it from a friend yesterday. I'm already have way through it and i've played it for a little over 4 hours. The game is ....okay I guess. I like the backround story with Lucrecia. (I still flinch when they pronounce her name...that and Mako. Apparently it's pronounce Mah-ko and not May-ko) The gameplay will obviously be compared to DMC. But it really can't even hold a candle to it. The gameplay isn't nearly as smooth and you can't do nearly as fancy things. The graphics are good, especially for PS2. The cinematics are equal to Advent Children. In other words, it looks like it's a PS3 game. The music is alright. It can get overdramatic on some of the in game cut-scenes, but other than that they're not bad. I spoiled myself and watched the bonus ending awhile ago. (Gackt is in it, how could I possibly resist?) It's waaaaay better then KH2's secret ending and I haven't even beat the game yet. |

was this game going to be called crisis core? cause i remember reading somewhere about a ff7 game where you play vincent, and it was called crisis core |

Supposedly, FF7 Dirge of Cerebrus shall close off the FF7 franchise. First you have FInal Fantasy VII, then Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. Dirge of Cerebus shall take place one year after Final Fantasy VII Advent Children.
It's quite interesting to see Square Enix taking a new approach to such a beloved series. But I wonder if they will be successful in implementing all the proper features of a TPS into Dirge of Cerberus? I mean, after all, I don't think they ever did this before. |

Another spinoff? Eh, I'm not too enthused about it. I'm sure it'll be a pretty decent game, though. I suppose the Turks will be in any part of the story, will they? They would be a good thing to have. Well, I guess you could say they are since Cait Sith is in it. |
