Actually Van that "seam" that you are talking about is in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, I believe it's the junction of two of the tectonic plates (the North American and the Eurasian). This is known as the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and is a divergent plate boundry (meaning the plates are moving away from each other). Where plates diverge, hot, molten rock rises and cools adding new material to the edges of the oceanic plates. This process is known as sea-floor spreading. (I got a high grade in geology)
Now, the most credible theory in the scientific community is the one about the gas, methane hydrate acutally. The whole explaination can be found in this article. Like it says, the location of the Triangle to the plate boundries and thus many of the wrecks are taken under there. |

Getting slightly more on track, i've heard a theory that says there are massive amounts of some mineral that massively interfere's with anything's radar. What i like to belive is that The Earth's crust is falling down into it, and that the triangle is a large opening in the earth. On the Pacific Ocean floor, there is a "seam" in the earth that makes new crust and pushes it out. It has to go somewhere eventually, and what a better way than a large opening to earth's mantle? This would greatly affect the waters around it, and maybe the earth's inner elements have a pull on outer things. |

I thought it was in Nevada. But yeah, the government did finally come out and say that there really is an Area 51 and where it is located. It's not in the Bermuda triangle, the thing with the gas is the most logical explaination. |

This may be a far out there theroy, but there are some rumors that say that the Garden of Eden resided in the middle of the Triangle, thus is strange fanominos. Since in the Christan Religion, God expelled all man from the Garden as punishment, so maybe theres still a magic curse on that place, keeping people from re-entering.

Nope, it's a very natural cause.
Under the see, at that place, there is a kind of gas (can't remember the name), that eventually create giant bubles. When these get out from underground, there's lot of air in the bottom of the water, so it fills itself. Anything removtly close to it get's sucked in (vaccum effect). --- That went something like that. |

In our school assembely this morning, we had a small talk on un explained events etc. and the main point was the Burmuda (sp?) Triangle. Anyone have any ideas why boats, ships, submarines and even aeroplanes suddenly disappear?
One of my ideas is that I've heard satellites have picked up a tiny island somewhere in the center, about as big as my house just about. I believe that underneath the island is a large place where Area 51 could be. This is why ships disappear. Nothing can get far in enough to see what happens because specially trained ops can shoot them down without anyone seeing why or what has happened to keep the roswell incident covered...  
Anyway, what are your views on the subject? |
