I think that it's very very rare to find true love in your teenage years... and even if you do find it, you'll prolly wind up not recognizing it, lettin' your hormones get the best of you, and making a really dumb mistake... It IS possible to find true love, but it's rare... and even rarer that you don't mess it up...  |

Hmm...this might be "bumping" i think thats what its called but I wanted to add something here...
I think it is extremely rare to find true love in the teenage years. I used to look for it all the time. I thought I found it and it just got me hurt badly. Broke my heart too. So, I guess that every now and then two people run into eachother that just can't get enough of eachother and fall in love while still in high school. Personally, its my opinion now that its wrong to get serious before your senior year, if even then. Having a serious relationship in high school is just wrong I think. Because when you have one, you start making promises you may not be able to keep.
Now yes, I have a girl friend. Yes, I care about her. But NO i don't love her. Love is a very strong word. We're keeping our relationship very casual, but we let eachother know we care and that we don't think we could find a better person if we tried. But thats all. Getting more serious than that is wrong. People always get hurt from that.
So yes, true love can be found, and maybe a lot of people find it, but because they try to move too fast, it doesn't work out. But I seriously doubt that many people have or will find true love until after high school. |

I think there IS a such thing as true love, and also think that it happens a lot more than we think in the teenage years, but remember everyone! Love CAN be one sided...
For example one person loves the other not for sex (yes no interest in it) but for who they are and truely caresand the other just want to use the the person for personal gain...I seem to always be the person who cares, and is let down... |

I think it IS possible for teenagers to find true love. My Aunt Liz & Uncle Babe met when they were 10 I believe. And they were together until they both passed away in 1997. There are a few instances of that in my family. My Aunt Laly & Uncle Mike got married when she had just turned 18. It's not impossible, but these days it's rare.
I used to believe there was "true love". Now I base love on one of my really sappy movies:

actually  I'm quite fine thank you though. Just shows some peoples true color right? good thing I didn't do anything anyway I'm just actually really happy I made this thread now. I disagree. Teenagers can find true love (I have, and trust me...its not something like what Bloody Tears had) its just that often teenagers mix up what they think is "love" with "lust". Its not a physical attraction, and sometimes its not even a mental attraction. What love is, is a sense of completion, you have found a person that completes you and you are happy with it.
Its not an odd feeling you get in your stomach, its not when you get dizzy thinking about them, and its certainly not obsessing or being jealous of that person. Love is being willing to except whatever it is that happened in their life, and love them still. It's knowing that no matter what, you'll be together, but something that can show you are in love is when the other person is SO connected to you that you can finish each other's thoughts.
One thing is for certain, it is like they say. Once you find true love, you'll know it. And much like what Jin said, it is very difficult to explain. I could sit here for hours trying to explain what love is, and only end up making your head spin. I guess what I'm trying to say is, love isn't a feeling or emotion like people say, its something that happens to you. |

It's possible, sometimes, when you know what loveis and what lust is. Girls seem to exhibit true love much more than guys, who mostly just seem to have them so they'll be higher in popularity. Most teens in general don't have enough personality anymore to generate real feelings.I'm good friends with a girl right now, and just want a nice relationship with her. |

I think it's possible. My opinion is a bit biased because I claim to be in true love. Really I won't know for sure that it's true love until, A: we break up or B: one of us dies. You don't really know that it's true love when you're in it. Jin and I are both in our teens but when holding a decent conversation with us you'd never guess it. That could be a factor too. So, yeah I hope it's possible. |

I think it's possible, but rare.
Most teenagers are too immature to know the true meaning of love much less be able to handle the challenges that come up when you're in love. |

It is very rare to find true love in your teenage years. Often you think that it is true love, but it turns out to be infatuation or something... hell, regular love is hard to find as a teenager!
That is a very sweet story about your great grandparents though. I wish that more people could find love like that. |
