| Well, I dont know how I was infected with over 9 Viruses and 550 Spyware programs, but its hell trying to get them out.
I wiped out some of them with various and different programs, but I do need to ask a question. I need a good firewall, anyone know where I can get on in the future? Right now my PC is like, I'd say 75% fixed, I still get IE popups to randomly appear on my PC, and I dont know what Dexplore.exe is, but it keeps popping up. (and slowing down my PC) And no, I dont browse porn, I buy that stuff. (Last edited by Nagis on 07-13-07 06:56 AM) |

| Alright, I know of a few good programs to get rid of your spyware.
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx Good general defender, for both viruses and spyware, it's kept my computer clean for quite a while now. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ Click the Download AdAware free button on the right. This is another good program, though it focuses more on Spyware. I like it, and I've used it for ages. http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html I'd really reccomend this, it finds all of the software on your computer that continues to give you spyware, and deletes them. If you get all three of the above, I think your computer will be restored to working order fairly easily. |

| Spybot told me that in order for them to delete the spyware, I had to buy the software, so instead, I torrented AVG full 7.1 and now the viruses are gone.
And for the spyware, I torrented Sweeper full, it diddnt find as much as spybot did, but it sure found a good chunk of it. I guess you can say my PC has been "Duct Taped" for the time being, it still runs slow, so Im guessing sometime next week when Dominico, another member here who I know personally, can reformat my hard drive. |

| I get all my anti viruses and fire walls free since I'm army. That's true to. I can log onto my ako and get the stuff I need. Tell you what. When I get my military ID back and my 250 day password. I'm going over there and helping you out....
That's going to be in like maybe a week. If you get it fixed before then tell me.  |
