Well, see, Earth does this thing where it orbits around the sun, caught in its magnetic pull, and in so doing, it spins on its axis and depending on the time of year and what part of the world you're in, you might see the sun for many hours of the day. And that beginning part, you the sun first begins to appear on the horizon... that's called the morning!

It happens when you live on a spinning, round heavenly body.

The Tudors. (Premium Channels aren't considered Cable, right?)

When was the last time you did something completely outrageous in public? Ie: Being the only one in a crowd acting so.

Cheater.

Let's see. Most outrageous thing I've done where I was the ONLY one doing it in public? That's tough, since I do A LOT of crazy shit in public, but it's usually a part of something else (zombie walk, flash mob, convention, costumed event where I just happened to be walking around by myself on my way to/away from there, etc).

Jeez this is tough.

OK, I guess conducted a serious interview with the Westboro Baptist Church (Shirley Phelps-Roper, to be precise) while they were in the middle of picketing a school and thousands turned out to counter-picket them. I felt like this person who didn't fit in and I'm sure the counter-protesters thought I was an idiot (I got a lotta dirty looks, especially since I caught Shirley and her kids getting out of their van and I was being all friendly with them, asking how Fred was doing, etc).

The reporters who jumped in after I got my initial interview started in very abrasively, and apparently Shirley stopped giving interviews altogether after that.

So yeah, I treated the WBC fairly. That's kinda outrageous, right? Got a picture I took of them published in a textbook. Heh.

What is THE question, to which the answer is 42?

Stupid people, while making my head hurt, are in some way re-assuring that I'm at least not THAT bad.

Probably the virtual choir that I posted about in the Entertainment forum months ago. I still like to listen to it when I've been listening to people spouting hate and stupidity to remind me people are capable of such beautiful things.

Why do tv companies (cable or satellite) advertise on their own feeds? For example: when we had Armstrong cable, we saw Armstrong commercials on tv, now that we have CenturyLink, it's all we see.

In-house ads, I suppose. When they need to kill some time, they just drop those in. It's like buying a newspaper and seeing ads for their Facebook and Twitter or whatever. It's to kill space they can't figure out how to fill.

No, but I saw clips of it on the news. ABC7's business analyst was extremely cynical, saying Obama was pretty much promising the continuation of the status quo.

That is a good question. Possibly Canada... likes hockey and beer, doesn't really butt into people's business unless encouraged... it'd be nice.

I've broken a nail off completely once when I was a kid, had a door slammed on one of my fingers and it just fell off. Then more recently during my seasonal job over the summer, I was yanking a palette jack backwards and it ran over my foot... I thought I just stubbed it, but the more I walked the more it hurt. So I wobbled to the restroom and it hurt so bad I wanted to take my shoe off in public in the restroom... I did and saw my sock was all bloody. I drove home in insane pain (and it was like a 20 minute drive), then luckily my dad just got home when I did and helped me out. But I had bent the nail on my big toe backwards halfway, it hurt like hell. He suggested somehow pushing it back in so I wouldn't have to worry so much about keeping it AS clean without the nail... well I stuck my toe in a bag of ice to numb it up (which hurt like a mother), then somehow I was able to flip the damn nail back into place, it felt like a latch that slammed shut and it was the first time I've said "holy shit" in front of my dad several times. lol, just touching the nail before it flipped over was insanely painful. Then I stayed off it for the day and kept it clean the next few days and it was fine.

Phew!

I had a whole bunch actually. Sean, Taylor, Timmy, Laurie, and Kim. People tell me all the time you can only have one best friend...until I show them the pictures of our mother's standing together, all pregnant at the same time, and them holding ity bity baby Timmy and Kim in the pictures, and go "We've been together since."

'Cept Sean. He's dead. And Laurie. She's an asshole.

Probably should have come here first with the wish I just wrote to be corrupted. That would be the one about going to a really lame costume party and wishing I'd instead gone to this one with my college friends from State since one of them is heading home to Malaysia soon.

But if I'm allowed one wish, for anything, I'd wish for perfect health for my mom, dad, Brandon, and myself.

My parents both have these conditions (her breast cancer keeps coming back and Dad's diabetic) and my mom is working herself insane because she's about to be 65 and they REALLY need the insurance from her job, so she's working into her 70s to make sure both she and Dad are covered.

That'd be 7th/8th grade for me I think? Cute gal named Cassie Jones. She was one of those new girls who came in a little later than the rest and somehow we hit it off really well. I had a good friend Lindi who became friends with her so the three of us would do that triple phone talk (forgot what it was called, haha). We'd go up to the gas station or just walk around to hang out sometimes. Cassie and I were always teasing each other, the cliche' young thing to do I guess, and we also made fun of like everyone behind their backs... lol. I remember Cassie was a little tomboyish or just not afraid of some stuff that even I was, like in science labs with dissecting stuff she wasn't afraid to do anything. She also had these weird modeling photos and after some convincing I got to see them. Everyday after school when my mom picked me up we'd have to drive in line to pickup my sister and Cassie would often be in front of us or behind us in another car picking up her younger brother or something, we'd always goof around in our cars back and forth to one another. Always teasing each other, but deep down we were always nice and THE WAY SHE LOOKED AT ME!

Then she moved to Colorado.

I even went to jr. high dances. I honestly hate how I had so many female friends in jr. high, lol. What happened?

Anyone ever just move away from you?

Patrick. Or Pat, as Elara calls him. Or AnimeRPJunkie or Junkie as he was called on Vizzed and MoD, respectively.

He was living with his parents forever and mentioned that one of these days he might just go visit his WoW friends up in Northern California and never come back. And one day, he did. He was supposed to be back after the weekend, and he just.. wasn't. He came down a few times to collect his things to move into the place with his friends. Sometimes he comes down from time to time, his girlfriend from up there in tow once in a while.

He was/is one of my best friends, and my boyfriend and he had been friends since they were 12, best friends for a little less than that, and he just left without a goodbye.

Yeah, I have. Usually when talking about painful memories.

Does Pat not like being called Pat anymore? But yeah, his move was really just wtf to all of us... of course, that was when he wasn't talking to me (I've still never figured out why he did that)

Speaking of which, have you ever had a friend just cut you off for no reason, just out of the blue?

It's more that I didn't like calling him Pat, which Brandon calls him and I do too more these days since we have another friend that we think of first when referring to someone named Patrick. I've just always thought of it as a unisexual, androgynous name and it makes me think of things like "Pat the Bunny" and "It's Pat." Nothing against the guy himself.

When he didn't come back, I figured it was as he said he would do. Seemed like the others didn't pick up on it for weeks. I dunno.

Anyway, in answer the question, I don't know. I mean, I've had people cut me off, but usually there's an obvious reason, or they were a chicken shit and wrote me a note in high school (happened once).

I've lost touch with people, and people have de-friended me on Facebook (usually people who weren't really friends who had sent me the friend request first and pestered me to re-friend them when I dropped them a few times... *cough cough*), but I don't feel like I've been cut off out of the blue. If I was, I'm obviously oblivious to it, and they aren't missed.

Bolsa Chica beach. I still haven't found a place here that is cool enough yet, though when it's been raining and there are clouds in the west the view walking out of my work looks pretty nice because of how open it is... but I wouldn't call it a favorite.

Have you ever wanted to personify a department or institution just so you could yell at/beat the shit out of them for pissing you off? (I'm mad at the financial aid office, if you were wondering)
