So, I just got done playing the Keys To The City event and all I can say is wow. For those who may or may not know about this game, I will provide some background in my own words:

All Points Bulletin is a brand new MMO due to release at the end of this month by the same team that brought us Crackdown on the 360. It is set in a rather modern day fictional city of San Paro that is suffering from a rampant crime in the form of large gangs that no longer fear the police. Conditions degraded to the point that people were afraid to even walk the streets as the fighting grew out of control. In order to curb this city wide warfare, the mayor of the city creates a group known as the "Enforcers". These "Enforcers" are vigilante crime fighters that have decided to take the fight to the "Criminals" by any means neccessary with city issued weapons and vehicles. This is where you as the player step in and make your mark.

From my 5 hour look at the game (as that was how long they gave you to play in the so called "action districts" where criminals and enforcers take up missions via calls from their contacts and have to compete with one another to complete and/or stop the opposition from completling their goals.) I am hooked. The missions, although semi repitive, seem to have some randomization to the objectives that play out across 5 parts. Winning and losing comes down to who can complete their final objective, leading to massive shoot outs to chases that lead across the entire city with bullets flying every which way.

So now enough of my ramblings, anyone else also play the KTTC event or have already pre ordered the game?

The customization is incredible.

I saw a friend play a good chunk of it and it looked really awesome. Kind of wish it was coming to consoles though. But yeah, I just can't get enough of city based open sandbox games, and this one looks like it'll actually do multiplayer really well. Hopefully they throw in some interesting game modes down the road. Whenever it comes out hopefully I'll have a better video card and can run it.

I think by the time I was done I was Cloud Strife with a nice buisness casual jacket, chinos, nice black leather shoes, and wearing an epic tshirt underneath it running around with basically a mp5. Ive been fooling around in the unlimited social play looking at all the options and tweaking things. I think that alone will keep people entertained for many an hour. I am quite sure I will be buying this game and ditching WoW until Cataclysm comes out.

PS: If you want a game that is kinda like this one for the console, check out Brink. Coming to 360/PS3/Computer. Its set more in a post apocolyptic setting with criminals vs the police again and offers incredible levels of character customization. I might be getting that one as well but time will tell (as will my supply of money)
