Basically I discovered a gaming cafe in my area that is not only cheap to play but also has an amazing community: Elite Zone is the store and they have some reasonable prices.

Basically: Starting out it's $2 an hour. $10 for 6 hours. And $15 for an all day pass. Not to mention they have a VIP program that's best suited for guests who frequent there. $50 a month which comes with a first day all day pass. And during that month you get half off on any hourly payments. Which means that if you are VIP you only spend 7.50 on an all day pass to play on their consoles. PS3. Xbox360, or Computers.

Might I just say that they have some amazing computers there.

They also hold tournaments just about every day. If they don't they dish out at least one free "Full Pass" a day. Because I talked nerdy with one of the managers he gave me like three free passes. So I will be sure to go there on my days off.

But the discussion is: Do you frequent cafes like this? How are their rates?

Before this there was one place like this except their rates were outrageous compared to Elite Zone. $10 for the first hour and every hour the price drops by $1. Down to about $5. So this place is like a dream. Just go there when they first open up. Spend $15 bucks and you have a gaming setup that is worth about $3k. $1k if you are on consoles.

Picture this: When I was there I not only had a gaming headset. But a seat that vibrated when I casted my spells on WoW. The computers also came with vent, Addons, and everything I needed to make my experience enjoyable. Finally. The fastest internet possible. T1. Holy shit!

As for the console experience. you get your own chair. a 42" 1080p TV. And a headset to chat with folks on the PSN / XBL. VIP folks get a fridge too! Keep your snacks and drinks in a fridge fool!

This is going to be my home once a week on my days off. But for Raids I am going to freaking love this place!

That definitely looks like a good place, it looks fairly active and those prices are insanely good.

We had a place in one of the Malls around here called "The Game Cube", yeah. Basically like the other place you described, I'm pretty sure it was like $10 at the least for an hour. Yikes. I went there once with some friends to play Starcraft like 10 years ago, lol. I'm pretty positive the place went down pretty quickly and I haven't really seen anything like that since around here.

We have some decent arcades though. Power Play comes to mind.

I was actually considering starting one of these up, lol.
This happens to be one of my dream jobs that I'm hoping to have become a reality one day.

On top of just being a gamer site, I was also going to make it a PC repair shop.

We had one about a year ago called Gorilla Games but I never personally went in there. I heard it wasn't too bad though.

The one that has stuck around, yet moved location far too often, is Cyber Center. Their prices weren't bad the last time I went there (~2-3 years ago) and they had everything from Steam/WoW/FFXI on the computers and I think they charged like $.25 an hour if you were just going to browse the internet. I think the rate was $3 an hour to use the computers and I think Tuesdays were the hardcore gaming nights where they let you stay all day/night for $10 or $1 if you brought your own rig from home.

I just simply stopped going when I got a computer that could run everything. Granted not everything is at absolute max specs with a perfect 60fps, but I can play everything and that's what matters!

I know True was talking to me about opening one. I don't know how she feels about it at the moment. But hey, I would drop everything just to work at a place like this. I won't have to deal with idiots all day.

My friend had the same kind of dream job about this too. Even drew out a map of the layout, stage setup for band idea's, etc. Haha, would be amazing if it ever happens for any of us, I'm sure it'd be a lot of fun.
