man, it all started when i wanted to DL some illegal mp3s

anyways, back last year, DLing the stuff off of websites was an easy thing. then came the invention of anti-leech, and netpumpers. well, let me start off with something else. you know how some anime websites ppl upload anime eps right? then stupid ppl would post direct links, not knowing that it steals broadband or w/e from the site. anyways, so webmasters now make you reg onto the site so eps cant be directly linked. but mp3 ppl are different, instead they want you to install anti-leech or netpumper, which is totally stupid.

then there's bearshare, and kazaa, totally not annoying. because once you uninstall them, all the pop-ups go away.

anyways, lately, netpumper and a lot of other free softwares now comes with some additional adwares and such that produces pop-ups even after you uninstall it. why is that? well, unlike kazaa and bearshare (the old annoyances), when you install the dumb thing, it creates folders and files hidden within your windows directory where you have to scour the entire thing to find these easter eggs of annoyance. even if you install programs that supposibly searches and destroys adwares, these programs do not help! the only one that does however, you must pay.

anyways, anyone know of any REAL solutions? for the past couple of days, i've been doing nothing but installing programs that supposibly searches and destroys these programs, but with each new installion, i get new hits and such. and im still not getting any real progress. what i have done however, was install a program that did find everything, but did not however help me fix the problem unless i pay for it. luckily however, it did give me the paths and such of where to locate the problem. the more i read about it from other websites and such, the more i've learned. but yeah =/ anyone know anything real?!

HijackThis! does most of the "Unremovable" stuff for me (gotta know what you're doing, thought).

Edit: Also, always run ad-ware searches while in safe mode (those bastards like explorer.exe, as well as iexplore.exe).

While in safe-mode? I should really try that ...
(I have a ton of crap-problems because of IE, and I don't even use it)

You can also go into the task manager, and End suspicious things, of course that is risking it ... (Note, explorer is not iexplorer )

Then, from what Grey's told me (from another board) you can go into //WINDOWS/prefetch and delete those suspicious files. I've also found things through folder like system32, and TEMP.

Of course, only do this stuff at your own risk and make sure you know what you're doing.

I would suggest using a program called spybot for spywere and STOP USING KAZA use either ares or limewire. Also use Norton for virus. The only problem I have with Norton is it checks every program you open for viruses.
