Love is a stupid and pathetic feeling. I hate it, it causes more problems then it solves, and I can see no reason why peple, espescially me, get into it at all. I hate it. The feeling is good for the time, but things turn sour. And those good feelings turn bad.

While on the subject of false love, friendships are about as easy to interpret as what a fucking caterpillar is saying.

Right now, I'm gong through shit that is ruining everything. Feelings are pointless. Actually everything is pointless. You'll probably never stay in contact with the people you meet during high school, so what is the fucking point. Firends are pissed at other friends, and no one wants to do anyhting to help it. For some reason, the group I considered myself a part of has split up into amny different variaitions. Friends who like to do one thing, and friends who don't like to do anything. And it's pissing me off. And I'm getting caught in the middle. There really is no reason for this, but all of the people in one group hate me for some reason, either that or they hate to talk to me or invite me to do anyhting. Whatever...

And the other group is always off doing something that would be fun, if I was invited to it once in a while. There are only four-five people I can consider close friends, and they don't exactly known each other/talk to each other all that often. This whole goddamn place pisses me off and it's all because of petty human emotions. Nothing is right anymore, last year was fun, and I was too naive to realise all of the problems that were extremely apparant. But I'm going to go away for college, and go as far away as I can.

And on the matter of Love. It is fake, there is no real love, there is like, and different variations of that. Love causes too many more problems than it solves. And when 'love' breaks apart, there is pain for too many people. And a knowledge that two people you know, probably could never see/talk to each other again, and then being inbetween it. And I'm about to give up. I nearly lost a good friend becaus eof this goddamn emotion, and I'm not ready to make it certain. So, I'm just playing out of their affairs and dealings. If they start talking about each other, I'm gonna start tuning them out, or tellin them to change the subject. I'm sick of it.

Love is pain. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either a complete fool, or has no idea what s/he is talking about.

Xeios, your going through a greiving process right now. I've been through it quiet a number of times. What's happening to you right now is that you're feeling vulnerable, and betrayed in a number of ways.

In due time, you will learn to cope with the feeling that you hate the emotion of Love. But that will change when you fall for a person that will be there for you no matter what. Wether they return your feelings or not, if they will be there for you, then it's worth it.

Pain only makes you stronger, Xeios. Don't make this situaiton turn you into a heartless bastard. I've done that once, and I lost nearly everything dear to me. Don't let that happen to you.

Love doesn't suck, but it is painful. The thing is that it is good and bad pain, and overall, it is worth dealing with them both to feel love.

I am sorry about your whole situation with friends, I know how it is when a group splinters because of disagreements or break ups, and it truly sucks to be caught in the middle of it all; but you're just gonna have to ride out the storm, so to speak, and things will calm down again. Keep your real friends close to you and that is all that you need.

As for your "there is no love, just like" theory... I could go into the Love Triagle and the four types of love, but I don't feel like boring you unless you want to hear it. Besides, I'd have to dig out my psych notes to explain it good.

Tsk tsk tsk. Such words of people that do not have a relationship or just broken off of one. You can sit here and say how much it sucks, but it wont change the fact that its still out there. You just need to pick yourself up and go back out there, no use sulking over it, or else youll get more antisocial and bitter about such things. Some people have........

That's great advice Benja. *sarcasm*

Thanks Elara, And Kaijin, that was spoken from truth. Thanks. But I still don't know how things are going to happen, and its not just a problem with friends, its a problem with my parents. They are becoming seperated. And it's a shame, everything's going to get a lot harder for me, and I don't know what my life is going to be like.

Elara, as long as you don't mind, I'd like to hear about the four types of love.

Well, as Elara said, love isn't bad. It may bring bad times, but also brings in much more good times. The tricky thing with love is that you have to be careful of who you fall in love with. Too many people don't that, so I'm telling you now. People who end up with bad relationships or just have the bad luck of often being heart broken are obviously going to have a bad view toward the feeling. You can't really blame the love, though. More or less, it is the person whom you love. A good friend of mine from my civilian job told me a couple years ao, "Be picky about who you marry." After thinking for a bit about it I came to realize that he's right. If you just go with someone and fall in love without taking precautions then there's a high risk of bad times. But marraige is a different subject.

Being at the age you're at right now, Xeios, and being in highschool, know that probably a good 90% of relationships are doomed to fail anyway. Highschool seems like testing laboratory for love. People get to together and then for whatever reason, sometimes stupid ones, lose interest and eventually they break off. Those unfortunate enough to have fallen in love, or even something as simple as having a good interest for another person, succumb to being depressed, angry and heart broken from the dumping. II'm telling you now, unless you've been in a decent highschool relationship that has lasted for about a year, don't take love too seriously. Most are short, and getting to into them is no good.

But there is good news. Once you get out of highschool and into college love has a much better chance of succeeding. People are more mature about relationships and think more about the other person's feelings than they would at a younger age. And even beyond that era, love can be even more incredible. I don't what caused you to be put in your situation and force to have bitter feelings about love, but heed what I've said because it may apply to you, even if you do not know it now. And as Benja, stated no matter how much you hate love it is still out there. But you can sulk for a little while, just don't overdo it.

Love sucks the sweat off a dead monkeys balls at times. It'll turn you inside out, rip you to the bone so there's nothing left but a naked soul that's getting slowly shredded piece by piece into nothingness.

It's the most sickeningly painful emotional experience a human being can go through. NOTHING will hurt you worse than the pain that always comes with being in love.

However. Eventually after many failures you'll find a love that will Heal as well as it hurts throughout the years.

Love can causes the greatest pain in the world. It can rip your soul apart, and leave it in shreds... And in the name of love the most horrible acts have been committed. This is true.

But love is worth it. This is also true.

While love can be horribly painful. It can also be the greatest thing in the world.

You probably don't want to believe this right now. But I hold it to be true.

Things will work out. They usually do.

*digs for psych book* Oh, I was wrong, there are 7. Anywho....

Okay, I learned this in 3 of the psych classes that I have taken. It's known as the Triangular Theory of Love, or simply, the Sternberg triangle. There are three main components of love, Intimacy, Passion, and Commitment. According to Sternberg, there are seven distinct kinds of love made up of different combinations and proportions if these components:

Liking : the experience of intimacy without passion and commitment (for example, friendship)

Infatuated love : the experience of passion without intimacy and commitment (for example, "puppy love")

Empty love : the experience of commitment without passion and intimacy (for example, stagnant marriages)

Romantic love : the experience of passion and intimacy without commitment (for example, extramarital affairs)

Companionate love : the experience of intimacy and commitment without passion (for example, many long-term, happy marriages)

Fatuous love : the experience of passion and commitment without intimacy (for example, love at first sight)

Consumate love : the experienc of intimacy, passion, and commitment (aka, True love. Good luck!)

And there is Elara's psychology lesson of the day. If you want something explained further just ask.

In my opinion "love" is "evil" spelled backwards... well, with one letter changed.... Evol! It's pure evol.
Trust me. I've been down that road a couple times. I'm staying away from Jersey women. I'm moving to Maine soon, and I heard that the women there are hot AND nice. Bingo!
Hope things work out for you, Xeios.
