I had the strangest, perhaps coolest, dream last night. The only part that's coming to mind right now was about for some reason having to run away from the cops (one of them being Kevin James) and Neil Gaiman distracted them and scared them away as I got away.

I feel like shit right now. Figuratively in the physical and mental sense.

Good to know that Neil Gaiman is on your side at least, right?

So, is it bad that I am already monitoring the corporate Giant Eagle stores for an opening. The wages and hours I am getting are kinda bullshit... I have a 4 1/2 hour shift today! WTF?!

And we get 8 hour shifts, but since we have a lunch, we only get paid 7 1/2... so I'm getting a weekly paycheck of about $180. It's kinda a joke.

There is definitely no harm in looking for something better when you're getting jerked around like that.

I had another weird dream last night. For some reason we were in Paris, driving through (yes, through, as though it were in the street or something) San Diego Comic-Con, but it was really more like Maker Faire (for some reason my mind acknowledged it as SDCC.

Then for some reason Brandon and I went to Texas to hang out with my ex-boyfriend. Like we just spent everything to go over there and drink coffee, and going through his unfinished work files.

And then for some reason I was in "The Shining," but all of the circumstances were different. Like Jack Nicholson was still bad, and still trying to kill the kid (and me), but like it didn't end in a hedge maze and with Jack freezing to death, but rather with the arrival/sudden appearance of "Judge 13"/God: a flaming, multi-colored, multi-headed, crowned giraffe. Like just it's presence meant the story was over.

A giraffe? Now that is pretty unique... I think you win the strange dream award.

I might apply at the local brewhouse... I've never been a waitress before, but I think I could do it. Or maybe I could luck out and get in on the actual brewing. That would be kinda nice.

Good luck with the brewhouse.

So I realized a couple days ago, while going through my LiveJournal, when Christina was pregnant with Jayne, I had the worst pregnancy scare of my life. I'd skipped three months, the first three months of Christina's pregnancy. BEFORE that, she and I had been fairly synced.

Heh, funny how things are when you look back on them years later.

Sympathy skipping?

I think I was late by almost a whole week once, but usually my problem was it taking forever to stop.

Sorry for the overshare there.

But see, I didn't know she was pregnant until she gave birth. It's so weird.

I wish this were a real phenomenon. With the rabbit-like nature of my family, I never would have had to experience getting mine.

Pregnancy scares ARE the worst though.

Tell me about it. I've only had minor ones, but still they make you royally freak out.

You know what else makes you freak out? Having steam come pouring out from under the hood of your car when you get home from work. I nearly had a heart attack last night when that happened. Once I calmed down I concluded it was a hose, somewhere, and that was confirmed when I took it into Sears today (good waste of a day off when I am sick but meh). For a minute they thought it was the head gasket and I wanted to cry (that costs SO MUCH to fix)... the hose though, it was $63 for parts and labor (it was the water bypass hose, which is a bitch to get to even though it's easy to spot), so all in all, not that bad.

So I had multiple weird dreams last night. The one I can remember vividly was wandering around a hospital and finding Sylar, who was my doctor. I kept tell him I loved him, which I felt myself feeling toward him as he was treating me. And then for some reason he was injured and I was concerned for him, asking whose power was the last he took (which would make more sense if he was Peter) and he learned in and said, "Yours." To which I smiled and said, "I'm happy," as he began sliding this long needle into my ear canal. Apparently I had a spontaneous regeneration power, so I guess that'd be why I wasn't afraid of him.

In another part of the dream, I was Robert Redford in the 1920s, hiding from some woman who double-crossed me at a hotel in Brooklyn. I don't remember much except the girl who betrayed me was Jennifer Connelly.

But of course! Greek mythology has been one of my absolute favorite things since I can remember.

Hiked to the MASH set today and made it finally. Pictures to come.

Whoever posted that you can get Schweddy Balls at a Whole Foods in West Hollywood is a liar.

This is why I love the both of you.

How was the hike up there, Rogue?

In the middle of packing up my room. I'm probably gonna make a thread about it, but this Phoenix is leaving his nest.

Go you, Phoenix, being independent and all that!

The hike was nice this time around. We tried last week, but the hike was a 6 mile round trip there and back again, and we'd started just before nightfall heading into the woods. We almost made it, but the trail there was almost non-existent and we had to turn back or else a ranger might have had our car towed.

This time around we took a back way which was more like 4 miles and didn't have to pay the $12 to park in the official lot.

Here's us in front of the sign they placed there to indicate where the set was:

There's also a couple ambulances, a rusted over jeep, a shed with pictures, and if you climb up this slope you can reach where the helipad was and see where the choppers came in during the opening credits.

Might go to Vasquez Rocks next weekend since one friend hadn't been.

*sigh*

It's times like these that I regret moving. I would have LOVED to have gone on that hike! I watched the entire series of MASH when I was a kid. Never really been to the Vasquez Rocks either... been near them in some park right there, but the famous image you see all the time I didn't get to check out.

We've gone to Vasquez Rocks a few times, but Lee's never been.

You don't have to hike to get to them. Funny thing is the Gorn battle mostly happened in the parking lot.

Thanks! It's crazier than I expected, but it feels good to get away from my family.

Still packing, still looking for another job, and still being sick in the process. Allergies are awesome.

Gomen. Feel better. I've been fighting a cold myself and it fucking blows.

The parking lot? Really? Well I suppose that works since I assume it wasn't paved back then.

And it still isn't paved.

So you can repeat this still to this day. Just gotta put in a couple obviously fake trees:

Gotta find things to do in L.A. real fast, since my mom's best friend from Australia's visiting this this afternoon and it's Monday so most of the cool things I can think of are closed.
