Finally, a DBZ game that looks like it's worth playing!

Thats what got me there, it looks better than the animated series to be honest.

And from what I understand from umo (Which translates japanese reviews into american) It will play missions that last you for hours on end, just like the animated series. Its also from the makers of Tenkaichi 1-3

The graphics are purely amazing, but all of the combat that I've seen so far leaves much to be desired. This could either be the best or crappiest game in the series, like the movie will be.

I'm still getting it, regardless.

I'm surprised these Vid games still with the Dragon Ball Z Series. I wonder what's with this series.

Are you all dreaming, or something? Allow me to wake you up.

The cut scenes are nice, and it's japanese, but the moment it hits American Soil, it will be American Again, and by the time this is released, you'll be over the PS3's "amazing" graphics.

The combat looks EXACTLY THE SAME as EVERY OTHER DRAGON BALL Z GAME SINCE BUDOKAI 1.

...

... WAKE UP.

Dragon Ball Z games are NOT GOOD. You say "this time is different" every time, and it NEVER IS.

"This will be the only DBZ Game worth playing."

Bullshit.

I have to agree with Shaddow Again. Looks like more of the same. Nothing even remarkable about the graphics.

Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (Shining Neo) was alright. It was short fun, but it was fun. Had a decent sized fight arena, which was free roaming mostly, and you smashed the crap out of each other across the map. Good times.

This looks a bit more like the conventional DBZ fighting games that I see around. In that there are fighters on each side, and then they just fight with flashy specials. Which is much less fun than zooming around and fighting (which also includes flashy specials).

Uh no.

Shin Budokai was fun.

However, I see nothing special with this one.

So...What exactly sets this apart from Tenkaichi?

It looks more like Budokai than Tenkaichi. Tenkaichi had the over-the-shoulder perspective and was more of a battle sim than a fighter. Budokai was a fighting game and number 3 was the best one, hands down.

I guess 3 is a lucky number, as Tenkaichi 3 is pretty fun to play as well! If you're not a fan of the series, why bother? If you are on the other hand, its definitely the BEST anime-based game series out there. Not that that's saying very much though...
