just completed the comic series, it is awesome. Wallace is still my favorite character though. BTW the movie was finished before the book and they DID want to keep the endings different as to not take away from the book's release.

The ending's while not being the same, do have many similar things occurring, even to the point of quotes from "Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour" making it into the film ("I've dabbled in being a bitch," etc). Since Bryan Lee O'Malley was a consultant and on set throughout the making of the movie, I'm sure he filled them in on what was happening.

Yeah, I was aware of the book being finished later. I've been writing reviews about the fact that comic book movies are coming out faster than their source material can conclude them naturally ("Kick-Ass," and now "Scott Pilgrim").

Mark Millar's been bragging about studios trying to snatch up his latest book, "Nemesis," before it even released issue 1. "Nemesis" isn't near as good as he thinks it is, but then again, I dislike Millar's work almost entirely.

I got a perfect on the game :o
There are some pretty cool features. I thought that was a really cool idea.

As for the comic book/movie issue, I wonder why comics are such a big hit all of the sudden? I'm not talking about big superheroes like Batman and Spiderman, but more along the lines of Scott Pilgrim and such. Why, all of the sudden, are movie companies interested in them? I'm not complaining; I love them. It just comes off odd to me.

It's just a new fad. in the 80's it was romance comedies and action movies, now it's comic book movies and i'm glad to say i was a part of this generation.

If you own a Playstation 3 you have to pick this game up the day before the movie comes out!

I also got my tickets to see this movie. Unfortunately I dunno If I am off that day. Either way I am going to see the midnight show.

This song has been stuck in my head since I saw the preview scene for it at Comic-Con. Re-jammed in there during the preview screening I saw.

No spoilers or anything.

Oh, and if you dig Wallace, you're gonna love him in the new movie. Kim and Stephen Stills are also my favorites, and they're pretty good too. They don't fully extrapolate on them so well as they did in the last book, but it's still all good.

You lucky bastard.

I desperately want to see this. Unfortunately, Alexa goes away on vacation Friday morning, and I already promised her that we'd see it together. She's less excited than I am, but she actually wants to read a comic. Needless to say, I'm enthusiastic.

I really wish the video game was for other consoles, as well
I only have a 360..

Honestly, I'm amazed how many people are seeing this movie in preview screenings. Seems like every other person I talk with about Scott Pilgrim has seen it at a preview screening.

I mean, yeah I saw it after getting a ticket for it with my pre-ordered copy of the last book, but I'm wondering just how well it's going to do on opening weekend, especially against "The Expendables."

Don't even talk about The Expendables. That movie looks horrible.

Same thing is happening to me, Rogue. Tons of people are somehow coming up with preview screening tickets. I would love to get some myself, but you're right. On opening weekend there are going to be tons of people that already saw it. This may be some sort of advertisement ploy to get other people not interested in the comics to go see it, but still.

I almost got into an argument with a girl at Comic-Con over this actually. We were standing in line for the Scott Pilgrim experience. The night before that they had actually screened the film somewhere down the street in the Gaslamp Quarter.

The deal was if you got a pin at the panel saying "1-Up" you got to go for free. The girl who was ahead of us in line turned to us while my boyfriend and I were talking about the panel to say in a very smug voice that she got to see the screening, even though she didn't have a 1-Up button because she was cool like that and that she was going to try and get into one of the two other screenings they were holding at Comic-Con.

Pretty much she was bragging about planning on taking away the experience for someone else to see it, since the thing will more than likely be filled to capacity and there will be a line 1000 long out the door of people disappointed that they didn't get in.

When she finally turned around, I made the comment (to my boyfriend) about there being an overflow of preview screenings with way too much given away in the trailers, to the point that it seems like the producers don't want to make money on the movie. She then turned around and started to berate me for not knowing anything and that I couldn't possibly understand how much they showed until I saw it.

This somehow paled when the line moved and when we finally got into the upstairs portion of the line (almost to the end), they made an announcement about Bryan Lee O'Malley doing a signing in a few minutes at the stage. I ooh'd and remarked to my boyfriend how cool I thought that was. This woman on the other side of us went, "Psssh, whatever. I don't know who that is in the movie." I turned to her and said, "Oh, he's the guy who wrote the books." She rolls her eyes and goes, "Whatever. I'm just here for a free T-shirt."

Comic-Con was full of a lot of really rude people this year.

EDIT: This amused me, though. Since the first part of the Scott Pilgrim experience was getting to silk screen your own T-shirt with a Sex Bob-omb logo or what have you, the girl who was ahead of us was stuck waiting for an extra hour because Kieran Culkin, Brandon Routh, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead were taking up the station that had the design she wanted (I only realized this because my boyfriend wanted the same design).

While they were delayed off to the side, I took his con badge and had it signed by Brandon Routh for him along with my badge.

Oh, and this site is streaming the Scott Pilgrim soundtrack for free: http://www.spinner.com/new-releases#/1

TAKE THAT BACK

But seriously it looks awesome to me. It looks like the epitome of 80/90's action movies. Maybe you're just too young to appreciate it! , I kid I kid.

Just got back from Scott Pilgrim myself and it owned. I absolutely loved it, and the game Bitmap mentioned kicks all kinds of ass.

I can't praise the videogame references and sounds enough, but the
Spoiler:
Seinfield
bit was probably the funniest thing in there.

This movie owned. Non-stop laughter the entire time.

This is one of those movies where the trailers did not use all of the good jokes. It had plenty more up it's sleeve that just had me rolling.

Spoiler:
That Seinfield bit also had me laughing pretty hard. Also, it came out of nowhere

Also, Wallas is one of the best characters in this movie.

Spoiler:
"I gotta take a piss on her"!

I saw it more than two weeks ago and I've been itching to watch it again.

One of my Facebook friends apparently saw it four times today.

It's funny. When she got casted for Ramona, I knew her from "Sky High" and "Grindhouse" and I randomly recognized her in different things. When she has her hair like Ramona and I swear she looks completely different to me, as though Ramona is someone I don't know, whose fresh to moviemaking.

Yeah I have to say, she's definitely one of the better younger female actresses I've seen in awhile. And heck, the movie had a few others too.

Chicks like these make me think "Why the hell is Megan Fox still around?"

I really hope Jonah Hex sinks her career. The movie was terrible and she just dragged it down all the more.

Guess who finished the comic series? That's right. This guy.

It was awesome. Now I need to see the movie D:

I must say, though, Kim and Wallace are probably my two favorite characters.
Spoiler:
I kind of hope Gideon is a bigger deal in the movie, too. He was definitely a bad guy, but I don't know. He didn't seem 'Final Boss' enough.
