Still, the animations for the characters themself seemed a little off on some parts.

Hey, I'm not trying to be a bitch about the animation. Just thought it could be better.

But yeah, I have to pretty much agree with Shuyin, it was my favorite fight scene since episode 50.

yeah, i already know who wins and by what means the person wins. It also seems to me that Sasukes shariangan is makes him look like a little kid when he is smiling and fighting. Besides that, 'you know who' looks like a chick with the curse seal level 2 . Not that he doesnt look kick ass, but they really made him look like a girl. Come on, lipstick appears on your lips in curse seal level 2??? I cant wait to see Kyubi Naruto and Curse Seal 2 Sasuke face each other in their ultimate attacks

Episodes consist of more than one chapter. In this case its Chapters 230-231. They added alot more fighting in the Anime, and they do it very well.

Finally I know what all this Naruto talk is about!

I got all my chapters off of Directmanga.com I am currently on chapter 203, and have already read spoilers on the Kyubi Naruto and Curse Seal 2 Sasuke fight, and as I read the more and more I want to start downloading the anime.

By the way...why do they release the actual Manga (book form) so far apart? (3-4 months!) Here in the U.S. they only have up to volume 6 released, which is the second part of the Chuunin exam in the Forest of Death (at this rate ill be in college by the time 25 comes out) The downloadable manga is fine but all the moves are not translated to what I was accustomed to in the graphic novel..example = Kage Bunshin No Jutsu = Art of the Doppleganger (im almost 95% positive thats what it would be).

Yeah, that's why I'd highly suggest watching the fighting in the anime, over the manga. It's just much better to actually "watch" a fight, than "read" it. And yeah, that fight between Sasuke and Naruto was a lot more emotional and better to see in the anime compared to when I read it in the manga.

TheDaftPunk: Well, it's pretty essential that they need to keep the anime and manga apart. They're headed by two seperate companies and have nothing to do with eachother, and if they were caught up ... we'd have to wait a lot longer for new episodes to be produced, and for the story to go on. If that all makes sense.

English wise though, it's just because the translations take forever, they SUCK anyways. I wouldn't recommened buying the manga, with the name changes and everything, you should just stick to Inane's online translations, plus, they're currently on chapter 258.

Ok, just read over your whole post. So yeah, I pretty much repeated a lot of what you said. It's just because translators suck in general or something? ...

I've heard they're even going to change the storyline up a bit when the anime is aired on Toonami.

It wouldn't suprise me if they do change the storyline when aired on toonami. Chapter 259 has been released and I just got done reading and like every week it is a qualitiy chapter. I love where the manga is at right now and I just hope by every chapter it just keeps getting better and better hopefully we will see new jutsus from shinobis like (sakura, kakashi, lee, tenten, neji, and naruto). We probalaby won't see Chiyo (the old lady) get serious until they get to Sasori since that will probalaby be her respectful fight. I'm hoping to be introduced to new shinobis, new youma's, and eventually go to all the shinobi countries.

If you haven't heard after episode 135 they will start a filler arc. It's about where naruto goes to the rice country to find the where abouts of the sound village. This filler actually sounds decent compared to the tea country filler arc but it also had a meaning to it. It fueled mrore rage into Sasuke because he couldn't defeat Aoi (i think thats what his name was) it was naruto that defeated him. Which caused Sasuke to get uberly pissed and they had their pre-fight at the hospital (sasuke got wounded during the mission). Which was pretty nice because it led into this current arc that is finishing up. I dont care to much for fillers but I don't hate em. One nice edition to fillers you get introduced to new characters and they have been going to new countries so we get to see the diffeences in each shinobi country. Plus the anime is only 5 to 6 chapters until they get into the current arc there telling right now in the manga so I'm guessing there just going to give some time for the manga to get real far ahead, because I would not want them to stop showing episodes and eventually have them cancel the show (i heard thats what happened with inyuasha). So there definately going in the right direction for adding fillers whether than just not showing new episodes at all, so fillers can make a difference and can bring a postive look to the anime.

Judging by what happened with Kenshin around the end (anime caught up with the manga, and the anime went off onto it's own story arc / world that ended up totally sucking) I like the idea of Naruto going off into fillers, so the manga can get farther ahead, so the anime doesn't "have" that chance to catch up.

Then again Kenshin was a little different, since the storywriter apparently had nothing to do with the anime while as Naruto is slightly different.

Still, I think it's best for the anime and manga to be seperated apart for awhile.

Yeah I agree, they should have a couple months ahead not like a year ahead. One Piece for example I heard just got done with a whole bunch of fillers and now the manga is like a year ahead of the series. While that is a good thing I wouldn't want that much fillers. I'm having high hopes for this filler it sounds like it will be a lot cooler than the tea country filler.

Also Kishi is actually having his say in the anime unlike watsuki didn't have a say in the anime for kenshin. So Naruto definately has a plus that kenshin didn't have.

the manga and the anime are different, one not being better then the other. For the manga, they have more of the swearing, and they are what actually happens. it is what the chara should look like, and they arent altered (ex, Neji's seal is a swastaka in the manga, but a x in the anime). the anime expands more on the fights with everything that you cant see or put down in writing. A fight that takes 1-2 chapters in a manga takes several episodes in the anime. i personally like the anime better, because it is much easier to see everything going on then reading it. Its also just plain cooler to see the fights, and u cant skip ahead and see the next 10 panels of what is happening on the page and next page.

I kind of believe the Manga gives off a better example of the characters, and their character themselves (so, "about them" basically).

But yeah, the anime kind of captures more emotion and drama sometimes, since it has "sound" and music to it.

But I can honestly say, having read every single chapter out there (I did so to catch up with my friends quickly, instead of having to watch hours of the show) the Manga really isn't that bad, and the anime and manga are pretty close together in following the right plot. I'd recommened checking out the Manga if anyone hasn't though, especially the newer chapters, since the Manga is quite ahead of the series.

This is by far my favorite manga to read, although I haven't had the chance to watch any of the episodes yet. I've got a calendar on my wall for it, a tshirt with Sasuke on it...and the background of my home comp is Itachi. :p

I've even got a Zippo lighter with Naruto on the front.

(Okay, so maybe I like it a little bit.)

Anyhow...so far, my favorite part is the initial battle with Zabuza...it's just overall very cool...

Only that part? How much have you read?

I will admit though Zabuza and Haku were both awesome, and that part when they died was pretty emotional to me if you ask.

You should just download it, from Narutofan or something (links are probably in previous pages of this thread).

The translations online by Inane, or some other translation teams out there are more "true" to the real thing, and besides ... they're like 150+ chapters ahead of where Shonen Jump is.

(Chapter 260 came out recently, I believe. The manga is pretty ahead of the anime itself)

The manga is pretty far ahead although they're making some fillers in the anime so the manga can get up there a bit. I dont really like fillers but oh well. Ive read the manga up to 259 and cant wait to see it in the anime. Although from here on out im staying loyal to the anime no more manga spoilers for me lol.

Finally got around to watch it.

I'm not far in the series (Episode 14), but I'm gonna download the whole thing so.... (will have to burn on CDs/DVDs, else no HD space remaining).... yeah.

Only thing is that I feel bad because I read all spoilers I came across before (never thought I'd watch the series )

It's good, but I'm still waiting to see more to make a proper opinion for myself (because I began watching by having an "it's overrated" attitude)
