Dang, one guy plays two superheroes (or just superpowered beings).

Has this ever even been done before?

I honestly think that it looks like a movie that will have a sucky story, but be fun to watch. Basically just a heavily stylized movie with no substance.

But hey, it has Chrisopher Ecchelston in it, so that brings it up just a little.

So, reviews have been coming out, and it has a %16 rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Bummer.

I'll probably see it anyway, though, even if it sounds like it's really different from the series.

Honestly, I really hope not...Sure, David Tennant is good as the Doctor, but he's not only too muscular to play Bilbo, but too cheery as well. Reading the book, you might notice that Bilbo almost never cracks a smile, especially in the last half of the book.

When I try, I can write really well, but I usually don't on Xeogaming, so I don't.

That said though, I Gusss no one on Xeogaming has really seen any of my better writings, other than an abbreviated version of Sins of the Father, which I think was quite well done.

I'm not really sure who I'd put down as best, probably not me, but we have a lot of good writers here.

If you want to do a simbattle, I'd say that you could challenge either me, Ryan, Cairoi, or possibly a few other members, but be warned, we ALL procrastinate. Having the battle actually finished is unlikely, although I have won at least one fun battle in two rounds before, xD.

Since the current trend seems to involve posting as little information as possible, I'll post a small profile. You all know Alex, though, so it should be fine.

Name: Alex
Abilities: Master of energy of all types, including the energy involved in movement. He can manipulate it, create it, alter it, etc. This includes telekineses.

He also has many mental powers. The mind is too complicated to read in the heat of battle, so he does not attempt it. However, there are many mental attacks that he is capable of inflicting.

Alex also has a living sword, controlled and maintained by his mind. It is capable of growing an enormous speed, changing form, and hardening itself so that it is stronger than any metal. In its basic form, Alex's sword is shrunken at an atomic level, so that there is no space between the atoms. Under normal circumstances, this would create a black hole, but Alex reverses the gravitational effects with his abilities.

Alex's fine tuning of his abilities are controlled by a biological computer implanted in his head. This is made out of the same substance of his brain, and uses the parts of the brain his conscious mind does not in order to run.

This computer allows Alex to have reaction times much faster than the ordinary brain would allow, as well as allowing him to identify the qualities of an attack coming his way. In other words, if an intense beam of light was fired at Alex, he would almost immediately know every quality about it, and the computer would calculate how to defeat it.

Okay, so maybe this wasn't a short profile, but as many of you undoubtedly know, it still only has a fraction of the number of things Alex is capable of.

Yeah, um, I'm pretty sure that this was from about a year and a half ago. It's not really a problem, but make sure you watch the dates before you post, Leviathen. :-)

I'm not really going to lock it though, just make sure you look before you post.

Kaijin: I approve of your post. I'm sitll not sure about what my opinion was about it in cases of rape and other problems, but after reading your post, I think it lies more with your point of view.

Leviathan: ...

...

...seriously?

While you may hate children because they do something stupid, I actually think that it's part of what I enjoy in life.

Now, yes, the parents with a lot of kids are often bad parents, but They're the ones who hould be punished, not the children, and definitely not through partial birth abortion, and most certainly not just because the kid might say, "Yo, G."

But regardless, even if the child has downs syndrome, I believe that if it is capable of enjoying life without causing harm to those not responsible for it, then it should be allowed to live.

Now, yes, it's a huge responsibility for the parents, but you know what? They were treating sex like a toy, and they got burned because they were stupid about it. They should have to pay the consequences, not the child.

Sólrök: Even though you probably won't respond to this post, I still want to adress a couple things...

First off, you say that women who give up their children for adoption feel horrible because they were unable to care for their children like they would like, and unable to be a part of the child's life.

Well, if they choose to abort, that shows that they are unable to care for their child as they would like, and unable to be a part of the child's life that no longer exists.

So, in other words, if they're aborting because THEY want to raise the child, it's only a phyrric victory where the child is the victim. They lose just as much, only someone else doesn't gain.

And many, many people adopt. Far more than most people realize. I'm closely related to at least three families that adopt all of their children, and I know several more. It's around, and it's better than a lot of people think.

Posted on 09-11-09 10:55 PM, in Rumors: Advent Children - The Game? Link
Didn't they make Advent Children into a movie because FFVII wasn't good movie material?

Personally, I think that a remake of FFVII is a bad idea. Instead, they need a rerelease. Right now, FFVII on the PC costs over $200 to get new, which is really not a nice price. http://www.amazon.com/Final-Fantasy-VII-Pc/dp/B00000DMAA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1252723871&sr=1-1

Besides that, it also takes a ton of work to get it to work properly. I had to apply several annoying patches which were very difficult to find. Hardly good for XP

So, if they perhaps rereleased it on PC for a lower price and fixed a few of the translation errors they had, it would be perfect.

Oh yeah, and making that horribly annoying snow place later on in the game less annoying would be awesome too.

Chrome runs faster, doesn't use up all the system resources, and has a lot of little things to make it a lot easier to use.

If I had any use for all of the features in Firefox, I'd like it. However, for what I do, which is just, you know, browse the internet, Chrome is perfect.

Oh yeah, and is comes free with spellcheck. What isn't awesome about that?
