| Yeah, this really seems like the first public declaration of aliens, and is kind of crazy. Honestly, he's the highest ranking person that I know of to have made a statement like this.
Now, granted, this is Canadian research on what America is doing, so it might be a little iffy, but this is quite interesting. What's also cool is that he gave this speech not just in some alien-loving convention, but at a hearing for public disclosure in Washington DC. |

I could swear I'd posted my thoughts in here before, but for some reason I don't see it, so I guess not. I actually really liked it. Yeah, it wasn't about exploration, and yeah they were fighting just another big villian, but the plot twists, the way it was done, the acting, and the characters I thought were all awesome. That said, yeah, I agree that the scene with Marcus changing was kind of pointless, but other than that, I really had no problem with the movie. Oh yeah, and the plot twist with Khan? Yeah, I didn't know that was going to happen until it did. I stayed away from the press and the rumors and such, and I hadn't seen much of the original TV show, so I wasn't sure what was going to happen. All I knew was that he was very well acted in this movie, and had a deservedly strong presence in the film. But then, I've been a fan of J.J. Abrams since Mission Impossible 3, so that's just my thoughts.

Lord Vulkas Mormonus stood high on his podium, he was far taller than this Pheonixocracy, and that was totally not because he was standing on stilts.

"My fellow Xeomericans!" he shouted forth, "I did not sleep with that wom-" He paused and looked around. "Erm, oh. Yeah, definitely didn't. Don't ask." He paused and shuffled his notes a little bit... "Oh yeah, this speech! My fellow Xeomericans! I would like to remind my people of the nonsense this man speaks. The title of Xeodent has clearly been long established as mine. If his allegations are true, why has it taken nearly three years for him to question it?" He pointed at the fiery bird of bureaucracy, "You may say that this man was away from Xeomerica, and thus could not contest it, but I would like to remark that he has no only been here, but he has also been active for many months during my term! Indeed, he even declared HIMSELF as my Vice-President!" The large screen changed, showing a message which Pheonixocracy had sent to many of the citizens of Xeomerica. The title read "Declaration of His Majesty." "This," Vulkas Mormonus continued, "is a message which he sent out, inviting many of us to join in an IRC server, so that we could chat and have fun and stuff." The board zoomed in on the text of the message, dated October 12, 2012.
"Now," said Vulkas," I would like to point out a few things from this message. First off, I would like to establish that he refered to me as "Co-founder and Xeodent of Xeomerica!" Now, if he did not, at the time, fully believe me to be the Xeodent of Xeomerica, then why would he have refered to me as such? Furthermore, and this is the most horrifying and terrible thing that he could ever have said, he hates astronauts!" Vulkas looked around at the audience, "I firmly declare that for his spacefaring hate and prejudice, then Phoenixocracy is a racist!" As gasp goes through the crowd. Just letting you know, NorCal is definitely not more liberal, xD. Almost everoyne I knew in that whole area were either very republican or drug dealers who weren't interested in such things. |

Alex appeared. There was no fancy flash, no loud sound, nothing dramatic to summon his arrival at all. He simply, was there, dressed neatly in a suit. It wasn't the most practical piece of clothing, he knew, but he felt that any man he killed deserved at the very least the respect and professionalism that a suit allowed.

It had been years since his last fight, but Alex knew that wouldn't make a difference. His power was based on his knowledge of physics and his mental strength. While he hadn't applied his abilities in battle in quite some time, he still exercised them sufficiently to continue his power. He stepped quietly along the sidewalk, his newly shined shoes gleaming in the sunlight. "Good day," he said. He and Phoenix had fought before, and Alex was ready to make this the last time. It was time for the fire to be extinguished for good. "You've reappeared, even after I warned you off last time. Why?"

Ouch, now I have a story for you. I ate at a restaurant once where I ordered a five dollar plate of fried chicken. It was when I'd just gotten back home from the mission, so I had almost no money in my account. Well, I come home and find that my card was charged thirty dollars, so my account was overdrawn and I was give a big charge on my account. Thankfully it didn't affect my credit score, as I sitll had money in my savings account, so it just drew from that and then charge my an extra thirty dollars.

So I call the restaurant, suitably angry, and tell them to fix it and give me a full refund, including the amount that was overdrawn. So they charge me another forty dollars. Long story short, a lot of phone calls were made, and I somehow ended up being refunded more money, so that I actually made a good $20 off of the deal, xD.
