It has been very laid back, yeah.

It's a far cry from what I'm used to, in terms of activity, but it's also a far cry from what I'm used to in meaningful conversation.

It's refreshing.

Happy I'm finally done moving.

Sucks to lose the apartment, since I liked living away from family. But on the other hand, it's so nice to have much more peace and quiet.

I've been using imgur for what feels like forever.

Always been a great site for me to host my images, and it's always been quicker for me to use anyway.

The organization is a bit messy, but I usually don't upload a crapload, so it's easy to keep track.

It's only for the next year or so. Rent in California is not cheap, and I can tolerate stupidity, because there's a pool in the backyard I can swim in.

Could be worse. Will be better long-term.

I use AT&T, after years of being under Verizon. I like them plenty enough, good service and it's relatively cheap in comparison to Verizon (which has excellent service but is way expensive).

Have you ever done martial arts?

I've lived on both coasts of the US, and from my limited experience, living on the West (where I presently live), is so much more expensive. By moving in, we're saving enough money that I'll probably be able to get my own car (presently we just have the one vehicle) by the middle of next year, possibly.

Living on the East is still plenty expensive, but in general, with the economy... I'd probably consider moving in even if our finances weren't starting to look dicey, since it's just short-term.

As far as forums go, this is it at the moment. I've cut off my ties to Vizzed, and the other forums I used to frequent are entirely dead (one hasn't had a post in a calendar year).

I frequent a few slack channels, and I'm a writer and moderator for Over the Monster (a Red Sox fan blog run by SB Nation), but my internet presence has diminished significantly in recent years.

I also run a Discord server, which is mostly cancer, so that's fun.

Most of my communities are offline, now.

I recall you making like 6 posts there. I also recall you joining around 2014 or 2015, not sure which. By then, the community had already degraded. What you were experiencing was slow-burn. It was always "bad" during the time you were a member.

It used to be really cool between 2010-2013 or so, I remember days where there were well over 1000+ posts by the entire community, and where some of those 1000 weren't garbage.

As for bans... I've only really ever been banned from Jul. But that's Jul for you.

Is it really 13 years old? That's pretty great.

I was a 11/12 year old who had never even been on the internet.

Where do you stand on the pineapple on pizza debate?

Pineapple on pizza is the gravest offense anyone could make. I am not terribly picky about pizza. I will eat most anything because pizza is delicious.

But if you put pineapple (which is perfectly fine on its own) on my pizza, I will throw the pizza on the ground, stomp on it, and not feel any remorse.

-----

As for what I did... I went out to eat at a steakhouse (the food, oh my god). http://i.imgur.com/1QinGDH.jpg

That picture is just my entree, before that I ate like 4 or 5 different kinds of meat, from sausage to brisket to chicken (both fried and grilled), and I just can't even begin to explain how much meat there actually was. I have leftovers for weeks right now, I feel.

After that, I went and hung out with my best California friend. We chugged a few beers, went to a bar, and had a crazy night, one of the very few times in my life I've let loose and actually partied.

I got so ridiculously drunk that I actually somehow almost got into a fight. My saving grace (and the reason nobody got hurt) was because I'm excellent at buttering up people who want to kick my ass. It's surprising how easily you can defuse a situation by just saying "I don't want to fight you, you'd kick my ass."

End of night tally was like 3 bottled Goose IPAs, 4 20 ouncers of a similar beer, 4 shots of Tequila, and an Adios Motherfucker. I'm pretty sure I'm leaving something out, but the point is, I definitely got my money's worth.

All in all, it ended up being a rad birthday, but I'm starting to feel old. Hangover today was incredible, and it's made me wonder how many more times I'll really be able to go and do this without negative repercussions. I love drinking, and I love being drunk, but I don't love that every time I do, the entire next day is lost.

Ho hum.

And yeah, an AMF kinda makes you forget everything else. They taste good, though. I've gotten the worst hangovers since the day I turned 21, so I know the pain. Usually if I drink a fair bit, I try to force down at least one 8oz glass of water and two Motrin before I turn in... does wonders for the headache and helps the squidgy stomach.

It was a place called Lucille's Steakhouse. If they have one anywhere near you, definitely go there. Amazing food and service.

I love AMF's so much, I basically started the night with one and everything went downhill from there.

Sega Genesis. I grew up on the system, my grandmother owned it. First game I beat was Sonic the Hedgehog. I was 2 years old lol. Gaming is sort of in my blood, but I cultivated it from a young age, and my grandmother enabled it. Used to play this game called Dashin' Desperadoes with her all the time.

Random fact: My dad's favorite author is Stephen King.

Your bringing up Stephen King reminds me of something from like a decade ago, I guess.

Being from New England (specifically living in a small town called "Durham", in Maine - King fans might understand why this is relevant), everyone there was always up Stephen King's ass.

I can get it, I guess, he's a famous person who lived in a small town, and graduated from a nearby school.

But it's one of the many things that ostracized me from that small town group. I don't like the Patriots, I don't like Stephen King (I'm not really fond of horror in general, but King's books in particular were hard for me to finish, not because of the content, but because I got bored with them), and I wasn't a typical redneck.

So I guess my point (and random fact about myself), is that I (like many of you, possibly) was pushed online, because of differences from my local peer group. I got tired of getting bullied for having different interests and tastes, and was never going to be able to pretend to like something I didn't.

Maybe that's my fatal flaw. I wear my heart on my sleeve, and among peers, I'm often at odds. I don't know if my brain is just wired differently, or if I was raised to never be a follower, or what it was, but sometimes I wonder how different my life would be if I could have pretended to enjoy things I didn't. It would be awful fake, but I wonder if I'd be happier.

You might be wondering how this qualifies as "happy".

As it turns out, I learned last night that I'm as tough as nails, and can take a hell of a punch.

Still no pain.

I feel proud of my tolerance.

I'll steal it because I'm a thief.

1. What was the last thing you put in your mouth?
Wavy Lays Hickory BBQ, basically, my crack.

2. Where was your profile pic taken?
- This picture was taken in front of Angels Stadium

3. Do you play Pokemon Go?
- Not anymore.

4. Favorite place you've traveled to?
- Portland, Oregon.

5. Which of your Facebook friends live closest to you?
- Outside of my girlfriend? Probably my girlfriend's mom, because we live with her.

6. When was the last time you cried?
- I honestly cannot recall at this point in time.

7. Who was the last person you took a picture with?
- My buddy Bryce, who I do martial arts with.

8. What's your favorite season?
- Fall.

9. If you could have any career, what would it be?
- Does staying in bed, and making money for existing count as a career?

10. Do you think relationships are ever worth it?
- Yeah.

11. If you could talk to ANYONE right now who would it be?
- My dad. Wish I'd talked to him while he was alive.

12. Are you a good influence?
- Given that I convinced one of my best friends to start the night with an adios motherfucker, and then let it tailspin after that... yes, I'm a great influence.

13. Does pineapple belong on pizza?
- I cannot begin to tell you how infuriating it is to ever see pineapple on pizza. Two perfectly good things that do not go together.

14. Name someone who made you laugh today.
- Myself, looking in the mirror, at my new shiner.

15. How late did you stay up last night and why?
- 1 AM. I turned in early, because I was tired.

16. If you could move somewhere else, where would it be?
- Probably Portland, Oregon. Beautiful weather, awesome people, and the perfect atmosphere.

17. Ever been kissed under fireworks?
- I don't really know.

18. Do you believe exes can be friends?
- If they can't, I'm wondering what me and two of my exes are right now, because we're certainly not together lol. Anyone can be friends. It just takes a respect of each others space, and interest in each others well being.

19. How do you feel about Dr Pepper?
- It sucks.

20. Who took your profile picture?
- I did.

21. Was yesterday better than today?
- Yesterday, I had intestinal issues, almost got knocked out, and was exhausted like 2 hours before I normally would be. Today I failed a pre-calc quiz, and had dozens of people staring at the bruise on my face. I'm not sure. Coin flip.

22. Can you live a day without TV?
- I might watch TV 40 days out of an entire year.

23. Are you upset about anything?
- Not that I can recall.

24. Night out or night in?
- Honestly depends if I'm paying for it. If so, I'll take a night in, since a pizza is far cheaper than dinner, a movie, and like two hours of shopping. If not, I'll go out, because I prefer being outside.

25. What items could you not go without during the day?
- My glasses. If I have those I'm good.

26. Who was the last person you visited in the hospital?
- I haven't been in a hospital since I was like 16. For me.

27. What does the last text message in your inbox say?
- "same lol"

28. How do you feel about your life right now?
- I think I'm going the right way.

29. Do you hate anyone?
- No. It's better to just live life without holding grudges, anger, or resentment. I just live the best I can, and hope life sorts people out, and gives them what they all deserve.

30. If we were to look in your inbox what would we find?
- In my mail, a zillion notifications from Humble and Amazon, and from my school. If my facebook... depends how far back you go. The further back you go, the more cringey flirting you find.

31. Has anyone ever called you perfect?
- Yeah, and it still bugs me to this day.

32. Someone knocks on your window at 2:00 a.m., who do you want it to be?
- Santa Claus.

33. Name something you have to do tomorrow.
- Wake up.

34. Do you think too much or too little?
- Too much. My mind goes a mile a second, and I'm usually exhausted by the end of the day, even if all I do is sit down and relax.

35. Do you laugh a lot?
- Pretty much all I do.
