| I know that, I just can't see or find it. In the public wishlists tab it just shows a thousand peoples' lists, so narrowing yours down is hard. The link you gave doesn't go to yours specifically, it just goes to mine (which is empty). | |||

| I personally loved raiding. The only problem is that I would either never get an invite or I would be stuck with a group that constantly had an idiot that would get the whole group killed (or a healer with dial-up, so to speak). This made any sort of raiding damn near impossible, other than the first 1-3 bosses, depending on the instance. I was never able to pass either Rotface or Festergut in ICC. I couldn't do ToC until after the gear was obsolete. I never got to experience what it was like to fight through Ulduar, except for weekly bosses. I really missed a lot.
As far as PvP making up the endgame? I love it but it's unbalanced as all hell. A rogue is great when a rogue is unexpected... but in Arena? You know what you're going up against. No chance of ever besting a Paladin, that's straight out the window. Warriors would rarely fall. If I was lucky I could kill a Priest. If the Mage wasn't paying attention I could kill them but that was about it. With the changes in Cataclysm, there was a bit more balancing as far as classes went, but if you didn't have PvP gear early then you was almost impossible to get it without hours of grinding honor, and that sucks more when you're put in to a battleground with afk players after an hour of waiting in the queue. End game aside... I really enjoy leveling up in this game. I'm probably the only person out there who thinks so. This became even better when Cataclysm changed everything that I knew about the world, making it all fresh again and adding more interactivity to the quests. This is one thing that I love about WoW that I couldn't stand about other MMO's. Even in Vanilla WoW, the quests were more rewarding and less of a mindless chore. I recently played Forsaken World, and while I like the game... the quests are purely boring. It's literally "go here and talk to this guy. Then this guy. Then this guy. Then a tutorial that you're forced to do. Then talk to this guy. THEN kill 5 of these." WoW skipped the zig-zagging and you went straight to fighting things! I like the world. A LOT. It's easy to get engaged in the story, especially with quests that evolve the terrain. That's one thing that will never be replaced! I simply wish that getting into raids was a bit easier (without having to be in a waiting list for a few months). Gear scaling is and always will be terrible, especially in PvP. Oh yeah, and I don't have the $15 to be playing otherwise I would! |

| I love violent videogames. I love ripping out the entrails of my simulated enemy, whether human, alien or zombie.
I don't get along with my father. In fact, we're practically enemies. One night, he got drunk and annoying and I gave him a black eye. I felt sick to my stomach, not because I hurt my father (he deserved it), but because I was provoked into doing something truly violent. It was seriously the most troubled I felt in a long time. I've been in fights before when I was a teenager, but I would usually be the one who got hurt because I would pull my punches out of fear of harming someone else, even in spite of what they would do to me. ...and cases like mine are completely overlooked. Take one or two examples of violent events that may or may not be attributed to video games out of the billions of gamers on the planet and call it good. Definitely sounds legit, doesn't it? If it were, there would be many more school shootings worldwide. End bullying, not entertainment. |
