A request. I'm officially requesting a layout. Something dark..blacks and silvers would be preferred, second choice being blacks and reds. I don't have a particular picture in mind..so anything suiting would do. If someone could track down/enlarge a large baphomet, i would probably..well..lets just keep it PG, eh? Yep..a crapload of work for a single request, i know. No picture..general colorscheme..a pain in the ass. But if anyone has some free time... Oh..if you feel like getting fancy with it..feel free. | (OOC: I'm not a Judge..but for this post, i will be handing down an unofficial judgement.
Vul. Kai clearly stated that he stabbed "upward" into your torso. This is a diagonal strike. Based on his position, your position, and the average length of a sword, his blade would have entered the center of your body and exited a bit below your neck. This is a large path. You mean to tell him that none of your robots systems exist in this wide area? Rather convenient design to suddenly pop up, wouldn't you say? He allowed himself to be shot. He did NOT give you permission to do what amounts to a critical strike. There is a difference between a free shot and a kill shot. Most simmers learn this within their first week. A round to the head may or may not kill him..but the fact that you even tried it in this situation, and this early in a fight..it is simply beyond me. Look at his movements and his posts. At that range, it would have been next to impossible to get anything but a small handgun between your body and his head before the strike. A shoulder shot would have been far more realistic. Be glad i'm not a judge...or Kai would be getting a free hit of his own right now in exachange for that blatant mod.) |

| This is the best forum to place this..so here we go.
I'd like to request official placement as a judge. I know, i know.."you never ask for this sort of thing". Bullshit. Sometimes you "find" good people..but more often than not, they make themselves known. Now, i'm not requesting a mod position. I don't want a pretty name and mod abilities. However, i am uniquely qualified. I bring something to the table that no one else here has in terms of my technical knowledge. Sparda can vouche for some of it...and you lot can see for yourselves how easily those little annoyances can be dealt with through the "Speed of light" thread. My reasoning is simple: There's a whole lot of bullshit going on in the sim forums. Your more advanced members have noticed it, and have seem to developed a "Ah..what can you do" attitude. I will not take it upon myself to enforce the rules how -i- see fit. I'll be the guy you go to for technical rulings. Some of you are damned decent simmers...better than my original opinion, in fact. I'm not trying to indicate that lack of knowledge = lack of skill. I just have something that the current judges do not..and i'm offering to bring it to the table. So, ladies and gentlemen...sound good? (By the way..if you guys have a certain forum for "staff" issues (though this isn't really about staff), please move this accordingly) |

| Sorry 'bout that Shaddow..was just refering to the idea of "No asking for positions/jobs" found in most places. Some of the best-run boards i've seen have a constantly running staff application thread.
As for trainers not interfering..i know this is most likely in referrence to your fight. My apologies...but he was so blatantly off-base with that move that i couldn't help but step in. Despite how wary of them i am, i try to repect the in-battle rules of this board (hence the reason why i didn't bring Night into your battle. My understanding of the rule was no IC interferrance. Perhaps i should re-examine it). Thanks for the support. Hopefully a few more people will feel the same way and i'll be able to help out a bit around here. (On a side note..you may want to consider making all battles judged unless otherwise noted. I don't mean someone comes in and picks on every little thing..but make it so that a judge can step in when a defacto rule has been obviously violated. Of course, like the other rules of battling, this would be entirely optional to both fighters. It may save some headaches. Not going to demand it, or toss up a poll..just an idea.) | The easiest way to achieve it is through a simple matter to energy conversion.
Matter and energy are the same..just different observable forms. While matter obviously has mass..most energy waves do not. By converting your physical mass into a serious of energy waves, light speed becomes possible. At this point, however, it is far more simple to just teleport. And unfortunately, re-arrainging the structure of the energy waves into something identical to your previous mass is so complex that it is more or less impossible for most beings. |

| To be honest, there are perhaps 3 sim characters on this board who could do it at all. Maybe.
To correctly convert and re-convert a physical body on an atomic scale would require more real-time knowledge than even a high-tier being can posses. Or, more specifically, process within roughly 1/100000000 of a second (before outside factors..random energy waves..ambient radiation..ect could cause irriversible damage to the reconstructive process). Hell...the only reason my own character could manage it is because he has trillions upon trillions of minds to work with. To the tenth power. Roughly. I was just demonstrating a way it COULD be done...as it has been suggested that it would be possible in certain situations. |

Final Fantasy 7. I did every side quest. Got all the materia. Got every goddamned chocobo. Won all the races. So on..so on. On my first playthrough. I think i maxed out the clock. I was putting 10 hours a day into that damned game. I want to do it again. (On a side note..you have time to post this, but not reply in our fight? | He stood in waiting. Another forest..so familiar, yet they all were. Trees...plants..the low, alien sounds of whatever creatures roamed its depths. Nothing was new. Nothing was undiscovered.
He had come to terms with it eons ago. Besides...he had all the surprise he could want or need. His connection with the omnipresent Nexus grew stronger by the moment..his ability to traverse its countless paths did nothing but increase. Soon, it would cease being a threat. Soon, all that it held would be his to behold..and to take. But here and now, there were other matters to attend to. He had come to this place for a reason. A weak call...the idle threats that echoed in the mind of yet another inferior being. And what else was he to do? Allow it to continue? Of course not. He had lost entire planets that way. It was far better to stop such ramblings at the source. And there it was. A man named Jaques. It took Night but a moment to delve into his core..magic..strength..skill with a blade.. Hardly a threat. But entertainment was entertainment. Without so much as an introduction Jaq attacked. A weak blast of flame, not towards him, but towards one of the countless oaks that towered above him. The base of the ancient tree moaned as it was consumed...and Jaqs ploy became obvious. He thinks felling a tree will do him any good? Amusing indeed. But then again, why shouldn't he? Night, present only as a figure shrouded in a midnight cloak, seemed hardly impressive. Even his face was masked, hidden within the clouded shadows of his hood. An instant, and the tree fell. "A bit late, but I challenge you to a duel." Another, and it stopped. He had thrust out his right hand, a blur of black and gold..and the mighty oak rested soundly in his open palm. With no movement to hide its appearance, root-like strandes of golden metal were visible winding along his fingers, his wrist, his arm, and trailing back into the black abyss of his cloak. The Chaos Gauntlet..perhaps the most powerful elemental tool ever to grace the minds of men and gods. The flames his foe had conjured licked at its surface in curiosity, only to retreat in mindless fear From beneath his hood, Night smiled. "You challenge me. Do you know who i am, boy?" he replied, his words low, powerful, ancient. The forest itself took voice in answer. From the gently swaying leaves it whispered... Ssshhiinn-Rraaaaaahhh Ssshhiinn-Rraaaaaahhh "Do you know WHAT i am?" Again the forest spoke a reply in the light, airy voice of its nature.. Hhheeee iiissssssssssss Hhheeee iiissssssssssss Suddenly, there was silence. Not a sound was uttered. The animals did not speak..the leaves did not rustle..the wind did not stir. Then it spoke out in another voice, filled with venom, with malice.. The end. His golden hand tightened, dug deeply into the wooden flesh of the oak. "Let's make this quick." He forced his hand towards the heavens, heaving the blazing tree into the sky. It spun mercilessly, caught between force and gravity..then fell. The charred stump that remained of its base streaked down no more than two feet before Night as it sped towards the earth, madly seeking the home it had known for over a century. Its rest would not be found. As it straighted horizontally between him and Jaq he swept his cloak aside, and with another blur of golden armor thrust out his left leg. His foot struck the ruined base, and in the blink of an eye the very tree Jaques had used to attack was hurtling towards him. (I tried to keep this rather simple. The tree is headed towards you at roughly 20 FPS. Not insanely fast..but remember, your looking at the top, not the base. That's a pretty wide area to avoid. Yes, Night is fully capable of lifting a tree. Hell..his primary sword alone weights somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 tons, and thats WITHOUT its Junction Stone activated. Now..i have a few questions for you. Why is Jaq in the damned forest..and what the hell does he look like?! Come on man..at least put some effort into it.) |

But hell..what do you expect from this board? Unless someone here is a personal friend (like Shu), you are just text on a monitor. We may find the text interesting..funny..annoying..likeable..but it is still text. Few people are going to stop and consider your emotional reaction to a few words. As for what was said of me..i made a suggestion that my thread be stickied. I demanded nothing. I asked to be a trainer because i could offer a different kind of HELP to the team. I don't get a damned thing out of it. Someone asks for help simming/a ruling in a fight...i can offer it. I could see you being pissed if i was suddenly a SMOD..but i'm not. Why do people thing i'm a good fighter? Because i came on this board, cocky as all hell..and i'm backing it up. Honestly..what's the point of being upset over it? They think i'm good..fine. They think i suck..fine. Quite frankly, i'm not so emotionally fragile that i care about general opinions on a message board. As for your other comments..are you kidding? I have posted some of the worst things imaginable in Death Penalty threads in my time, suggesting everything from public excecution to crucifixion. Not once did i stop to consider the feelings of the other people who posted their opinions. Why? Because the POINT is to post opinions. What, you think that the rest of us should pick our words carefully because something may offend YOU? We should stem OUR opinions so that we don't conflict with yours and upset you?
