| The contraction and expansion of the metal steam pipes filled the room with clangs, bangs, and hissing noises, and they came from all directions. After a while, it would be very difficult to hear anything but the loud, booming presence of the steam's channels. That is until Spike, who had quietly blended the sound of climbing up the locker with the bangs of the pipes, fired the gun directly above Trade.
It it hit, which Spike had almost assured of, it would pierce Trade's shoulder and cause heavy blood loss. |

| Eddie looked at Nathaniel with untrusting eyes. He found himself a brilliant judge of character lately, and his suspicions about the intentions of this man would not fade with time. For now, however, he had to cover his feelings.
"We have to get out of here. Now." They quickly climbed into the van and Nathaniel slammed the accelerator, speeding them from the fiery tomb of secrets they had just been through. Eddie looked around. His school's foreign janitor, two of his teachers, his best friend, and two fellow interred hostages. With his family gone, this was all he had left. He felt like crying, but he kept it internalized again. He'd have time for tears later. Sitting in the lobby of the emergency meeting place of the Company was a young man. His wild, untamed black hair hung over his face, and his thin, bony frame showed through his simple clothing. He sat staring at his cell phone's screen. The name of his last incoming call, Nathaniel, was lit up. He heard footsteps, but he didn't move. He didn't have to. "It's been a very long time, Felicia." The energy flew from his palm quickly, and it hit the spear like a thrust of a massive shield, emblazoned with hardy steel would. | Jason laughed maniacally, the room still shaking with his power.
"You self-centered fool! I told you I could care less about you." Jason closed his eyes, concentrating for a moment before his entire body began to emanate the glowing energy, pouring from every orifice and limb. Objects in the room started exploding, bits of glass flying everywhere. "I AM THE GOD OF CHAOS!" He said, his voice disorted and demonic. "FEAR ME, AND KNOW MY WRATH!" Suddenly, he released a large burst of his energy was released and the room filled with dust as the plaster walls exploded into fine powder. His energy calmed, and when the dust cleared, he was gone. But he left his mark behind. The gaping hole in the ceiling could not be ignored. |

The sword had only fluctuated slightly to accommodate the range of the spear, but it was enough.

"I am not great. I am only what I am." Plato dashed forward, his speed amazing for that of a Grecian man. In two seconds he was within slashing range. He brought his gleaming sword overhead, swinging it down and forward with a wide, quick slash.

BIC: The group remained quiet as they neared the site. Keyare drove the Jeep solemnly, dampened by the air around him. Dr. West sat beside him, quiet and nervous. He had never done anything like this before. Why he was needed, he had no clue. He could only speculate, and thus, only fear. The Jeep's squeaking, aged tires slowly came to a rest before a large cliff side. Embedded into the wall of stone was a large palace, a tomb that preexisted the pyramids. This was more than the resting place of the pharaohs. In the ancient texts, it was said to be the resting place of the mortal form of the gods. It was time to find out. The group stepped outside the Jeep and towards the gigantic stairway leading to the entrance. | |||||
