I'm REALLY interested in this, but I think the coolest thing to do before I join would be to try and raise a team beforehand. That way we can plan ourselves out from the beginning and have a great team.

Henry, the man who had dispersed the crowd earlier, listened intently to Marionette. He knew it. He knew a riot was planned.

He slowly rose and walked away. He had to talk to the warden right away. Moments after the shimmering lights of an epiphany basked down upon Lycaon, he felt light flood into his room, obscured only by the silhouetted form of a guard. "Warden says you're free to go to back to your cell for tonight." Lycaon merely smiled. For the first time since he arrived, he felt the flush of his normal energy flowing through his body. Power's so calming. A guard stepped into the middle of the courtyard, reddened by the setting sun. "Alright, report to your cells, everyone. Don't make us get forceful." That night, in his cell, Penn sat on his bed, restraints torn off. He felt power emitting from the others. Someone had broken Noxadrain here. The battle for Bon Reve was ticking closer. With concentrated bursts of energy, Penn prepared. The best way to repent for his crimes would be to prove he was a hero. An unworthy but powerful hero. A hero with a deathwish. The only kind of hero that could take the hidden monsters trapped inside the people here.

Me and my buddy Anthony (he's posted here before) are both huge fans of Heroes, and lately we came up with an idea for a comic series about Heroes' forgotten heroes. He did the art, and we're collaborating on the writing, layout, and what the pictures actually are. (I draw rough drafts).

Henry stood in the warden's office by the door, his head tilted downwards. The undercover prisoner had told the warden everything he had learned. Some of the prisoners were resisting the Noxadrain, and a riot was festering in the cells.

From behind his desk, his face obscured in shadow, the warden spoke. "Do you know how I became the warden of this institution, Henry?" "No, sir, I do not." "Forty years ago, I was an idealist. I saw the Flower Children spreading the ideas of peace and love, and it inspired me to act. They were preaching what the world needed, but they credibility, they lacked results. I became passionate in my goal to make a world without supervillains. And, after a chance encounter with a superhero, I found the way. By closely observing this superhero, I discovered a way to artificially copy his ability to suppress powers. I thought I had found the cure to the world's problems. I had found Noxadrain." Henry's eyes rose and widened as the warden continued. "However, there were snags during the early testing. I found that the energy in Noxadrain was essentially suppressing the will of the subject. However, with enough willpower, test subjects found they could overcome the drug. The drug was a dud, and for a long time, I was a broken man." Henry was confused. "But Noxadrain's been proven to work. It's kept villians safely locked away here and at other facilities around the world. Did you change the formula?" The warden laughed under his breath. "No, son, it's the same drug. You see, Noxadrain's success rates are due to the brainstorm of a high ranking official in the ISPF. His idea was simple: When we release the drug, control the medical field and demand they say the drug is effective. Through a successful media campaign, the whole bought the drug as a foolproof, albeit expensive, cure for supervilliany. Now, every superhuman detention facility uses the drug as standard procedure. Without it, the only prison that could hold the real villains is the ISPF's Monolith. That was built before Noxadrain, and can handle its own still without it." Henry gasped. "That means that if there was a break out here..." "Yes, Henry. The world would burn. If what you say is true, the hellfire that will be unleashed upon the entire world will have started here under my very nose." "Well, what should we do to stop it, sir?" The warden thought to himself a moment before speaking again. "The news of immunity would scare me more if not for the breakthrough I've recently made. I have used this facility not only as a rehabilitation clinic, but as a scientific playground for like-minded scientists. And now, an experimental procedure is set to be tested tommorow upon Helena which would once more revolutionize the world. Only this time, unlike Noxadrain, this cure is true. Essentially, we have prepared an operation to give repeat supervillains an artificial organ which produces a natural, individualized power suppressant chemical. With this organ, borne of their own DNA and produced in a few hours time, we can make supervillains regular humans." Henry stood still in stunned silence. "Tomorrow will be a day of revolution. If Helena survives the operation and it is at least partially successful, we will begin emergency operations on those most likely to instigate their riot. After forty years, I have found a way to make the world a good place again. Not the Dark Lord himself could rise up and stop me now." Henry nodded, his faith reinvigorated. "I'll prepare a list for you tommorow morning, sir. Sleep well." Just as that conversation ended, another began. A young guard was ambling through the halls of Bon Reve when he saw the agile Helena running his way. His body encased itself in nothingness, and before she had ever seen him, she could no longer see him. He extended his arm where Helena's trajectory seemed to predict, and after five seconds, the young guard's invisible clothesline brought Helena to an immediate halt. He brought his weight down upon her, restraining her quickly, and appeared before her. "Where do you think you're going, honey?" He looked up at the two sweaty guards jogging to a halt in front of him, clearly exasperated. "Wonderful work, by the way. You're the facilities' finest."

With Bon Reve approaching it's climax, I'd figured I should ask this now. The next RP in the Superverse (run by me, at least) is up for debate. Depending on which gets the most appeal, I'll run that one first, but more than likely, all three will be run at one point or another.

Options: Task Force-The direct sequel to Bon Reve, the eponymous task force will investigate the events that transpired there. All characters (unless spoken to me) will be ISPF agents. Oakhurst- An RP about the mysterious feudal country Oakhurst and why its ancient walls and ancient ways still stand in the modern day. Paradise Square-In the slums of New York, a vicious gang war has been festering for twenty years. In a place where the law fears to tread, the poor fight for what they believe in.

The clinic was already alive as the first beams of light broke over the horizon. Helena was being strapped to an operating table, feeling the distinctively cold sheets on her back.

A man walked into the room with an unmistakable presence. The wiry, quiet man was obviously The Surgeon. "Begin preliminary evaluation one. We have orders to complete the operation as soon as possible." Everyone was infused with a sense of destiny as the light poured into their cells. Some, like Henry, looked to the sun with dread. Others, like Lycaon and Marionette, grinned at the future ahead. At the end of the peninsula, an army had been assembled. Their mission was to draw the guards through the series of gates to fight them. Essentially, the army's mission was to be a distraction. Everyone felt the first gate explode. Everyone saw the huge chunks of debris flying into the clinic, tearing into cells and blowing open walls. A few guards and inmates were crushed, but so it goes. The guards dashed towards the gates, leaving the prison almost vacant. Kowalski stepped out of his cell. The door had been torn open. He surveyed the scene and laughed. "Huh."

Kowalski stood, silent, as Marionette restored his powers and told him of the plot transpiring in the medical ward.

"It infuriates me, but I see my place in the grand scheme of all this. Have fun on the outside, you freaking bastard." And so he took off. His superdense body tore through layer after layer of steel, making his way through to the underground surgery room. He stopped only to slam guards into walls, and would continue moving before the guards hit the ground. He finished the last flight of steps and turned towards the door. For the first time in several years, he let loose an audible gasp. Standing like a sentry before the colossal steel walls was the aging warden, chain gun in his hands. "My entire life's work is being culminated behind these doors. If the surgery is a success, alive or not, I will never be forgotten. You super felons will be a thing of the past. Not even God could stop me now." Kowalski stood frozen in place for just a moment, the two's eyes locked in place. The second Kowalski dashed forward, the warden pressed the trigger. Kowalski felt bullet after bullet slam against his body. Despite being pelted with bullets, he continued his march forward. His superdense body slowly began tearing apart. He could take any one bullet with no problem, but this many bullets proved to be a bit of a problem. The warden screamed in fury until he noticed Kowalski's determination, and his rage gave way to fear. With a great heave of force, Kowalski ripped the chain gun in two, leaving the warden still with fear. Without skipping a beat, Kowalski slammed him against the steel wall, leaving an indent. It was apparent Kowalski's breath was labored, but he managed to release a bloodied grin. "You're a blasted fool. If it weren't for men like me, your heroes wouldn't exist. Villains keep heroes in line, just as heroes keep villains in line. It's a fucking balance. Without it, your fucking heroes wouldn't serve your fucking kind. You'd fucking serve them. By keeping them busy, we keep you pricks free. Now, if you don't mind, I've got an operation to stop." He tossed the warden's battered body down the hall and turned to the door. Normally, this wouldn't be that much of a problem, but with the amount of blood he was losing, he knew that breaking this door down would shorten his life considerably. Inside the room, everyone was still. They had heard the chaingun start and stop firing. It was mere seconds before they put the patient under. The nurses screamed as the door's reinforced steel bent, the sound filling the room. And with one last blaring rip, Kowalski broke through the massive door, his blood and sweat dripping onto the ground. He pointed at the Surgeon. "You're the only one alive who knows how to perform the surgery." The Surgeon quickly realized what that fact entailed, and he scrambled for the pistol on the other side of the room. "Go ahead and see if one more bullet can stop me!" Kowalski said, walking slowly towards his target. The nurses ran out the room, screaming again when they saw the warden's dying form. The Surgeon turned and unloaded the entire clip. Though Kowalski twitched with each shot, he continued on. He lifted the Surgeon and slammed his head against the wall, smashing his brain and the secrets it held against the cool stone. Lumbering over to Helena, he untied her restraints. "You alright?" Meanwhile, in the courtyard where all of the villains began to assemble, the familiar face of Penn stepped out from the shadows, his body gleaming with energy. "Let's get this settled. You're either with me or the Marionette. Decide quickly."
