| This is a crazy idea, I know, but I thought it might be intresting to get the public opinion on this.
IMPULSE TOURNAMENT Idea: Instead of getting a weapon and learning to adapt, you are given a random character with a vague outline. You are then required to take this character and fight with him, creating spells and techniques, all the while trying to learn what you're enemy is doing. This spur of the moment creation truly shows the essence of the simmer regardless of the character they use. BUILT IN: Name, Race, Weapons, Elements, Some Appearance. CREATED: Personality, Clothes, Spells, Techniques, Transformations. A PM would be sent to all fighters with the outline of their characters. I would expect a revised added on profile, review it, and respond to the fighter. If it is good and not cheap or illegal, you get the thumbs up. Otherwise, I send a criticism of the character and expect changes. What do you think? If you like it, would you participate? [PM me for more details, if you wish] |

| If there is one beef I have with this, it's something that almost everyone does. I prefer to make all my speeches show both sides of the argument as I begin, poke holes in the opposing sides' arguments then go propaganda on my side.
What you did is all by means fine, but if I were you, I'd work me and Xeo's side of the argument in a little more. You kind of beat it down without setting it up. But that's just me speaking. Yeah, I agree with Xeo. I believe the Internet should be 100% open, because by blocking the internet you are prohibiting learning and communication, which kind of contridict the the constitution. Oh, and you can ask a friend how to make a bomb just as easily as getting it off the internet. I mean, acess to the materials would cut down on the bombs a lot more than how to make it. And another thing...Saftey? I'm sorry, but I didn't see a valid enough argument about how the Internet is dangerous to be worried about my saftey... -The Cairoi |

| Cairoi began focusing, channeling his flowing energy into an extremely honed source of power. His eyes flashed and activated Hawkeye. The light simmered and faded, revealing pitch black eyes with one pinpoint white hole in the middle.
"I'm watching you." Cairoi's hands flashed yellow and begin emnating a yellow aura. The aura began traveling about his body before it encompassed him, though he was still enitrely visible. Cairoi's body was charged with energy and contained by the aura, now able to travel at incredible speeds physically impossible for anything Cairoi's size unassisted, more than the speed of sound. "I dare you. Attack me." |

| Cyro: Not exactly...But you're almost on the dot there. I'm going to completly review their character styles and make sure no signature techniques or spells or weapons are used. But, I'm not going to do a complete opposite of their character. If I did, it'd actually be easier for them to adapt. I'm looking for close to opposite, but still hanging to the middle ground. ^.^ | |||

BIC: Cairoi felt the disturbance of time in the air (OOC: PM me to talk about this. I should detect time slowing down for you. It's basically a vacumn of sorts, and such I should sense it.) Cairoi had mere seconds to react before Vulkar became to fast to keep up with. So, knowing he was moving at the speed of sound, gathered air to him and released it in a shockwave, his movements themselves creating a shockwave. So the very instant Vulkar entered this dimension, Cairoi was protected by a wall of air that was both moving slowly outward to Vulkar, and impenetrable due to the condensation of the molecules, almost making it a solid. Also, Cairoi had made multiple layers of it so that would protect him after the first shockwave had dissolved. |

| The iron doors of the temple collapsed the moment Murisama came into view. They were pushed back far and slid off the hinges, gravity slamming them against the ground.
"Whoops. Think I pushed too hard." From out of the shadow of the temple came the figure known as Cairoi. For one so strong, he did not show it. His current stride was straightforward and relaxed, giving one the impression he was harmless. He was of a lean build, sturdy but quick and agile. His face was handsome and clean, marred only by the magical scar resting over his right eye. He wore his long brown hair back in a low ponytail, his bangs resting about 2 inches from the hairline. His pupils shone in this focused sunlight, revealing his emerald-colored pupils. They bore a look of calm, as seeing this dark figure placed no fears in his mind at all. As he walked closer, his clothing became more apparent. He wore a black jacket, which was connected, revealing the forest green t-shirt underneath. He also wore black pants, loose but fitting, and black boots. THe t-shirt, pants and boots all had something particularly eye-catching: they did not change appearance when more or less light was reflected upon it. This indicated towards their magical nature. Cairoi stopped 15ft away from this oncomer. He eyed him carefully, catching from the overwhelming amount of black on his opponent that he was a demon or a very dark man. He toyed with the idea of examining the true nature of his enemy with his Hawkeye, but he decided against it. "Hello. I'm afraid I cannot allow you to pass. The monks here are under my protection and are not to be bothered. Please leave before I am forced to do anything drastic." |

| Cairoi laughed cheerily, his eyes closed and his smile broadened. He touched his sword hilt and kept his hand clenched softly on the handle.
"Actually, worship of Gaia has for the most part been eradicated. You are looking at the last priest of Gaia. This is a temple of healing, where a family strucken down by a disease caused by a demon such as yourself is being saved. I will not let anyone in that temple down. Please, leave or die." Cairoi kept his smile up as he stood very carefully, ready to react to any movement. "Please, make your decision." |

| Cairoi was suprised. He sensed the dark energy being built up and lifted his left hand. It began pulsing with an electric-like crimson aura, emnating from the jagged cross-shaped scars on the back of his hands. The dark energy was absorbed into Cairoi's Cross Scars, purified, and then added to Cairoi's energy banks, making him stronger.
"Simple attacks like that won't work on me." Red Color-Red Cross has the ability to absorb energies, focus them and infuse them into Cairoi's own energy, thus making it his energy. He more than often uses this abilty to drain life force out of strong foes or for defensive purposes. |

| Cairoi closed himself, shutting his eyes, ears, and soul to prevent being affected by this fear. He sent himself into a mini-trance until the attack subsided and he awoke quickly.

| Friday, December 16.
4th period... LOCKDOWN. True Story. Yeah, my school went down into lockdown today. It was crazy. Me and my classmates were forced to hide behind my teacher's desk, being told she believed it to be only a drill. The principal tells us only that Lockdown has begun and every student is to report to a classrom. 5 minutes in, our teacher tells us this isn't a drill... For 5 minutes, I'm human. I'm scared out of my wits, wondering whether or not I'm going to die. (It turns out like the half the class shared the one thought that we didn't want to die a virgin). I try to appear calm to my friends and not worry about it. Didn't help. So, my animalistic combat instincts kick in. I force myself into an ashtma attack so I can get the aftermath's adrenaline rush in my system. To do that, I had to stop breathing for a while. I grabbed 7 pairs of scissors. I'm not joking when I say I wasn't me. I was only focused on death, seeing it right in front of me. I planned how to fight anyone, whether I lived or not. I lost track of time for a while. I was scared and furious. I was not ready to die. People kept joking around and shit, and they were breaking my focus. I hit one really hard and shut him up. 20 minutes before I'm scheduled to leave, the principal assures over the PA that we're only keeping someone out instead of there being an intruder. The teacher attempts to continue I take the bottle of water that my worried classmates give me and chug the full thing down all at once. I can't stop watching the door. I mean, if someone broke in through the doors made of GLASS, I don't think the PA announcer would say someone had broken in, cause that'd comprimise saftey. I'm looking at the chemicals on the wall. A friend of mine calls her mom who works there. A bankrobbery across the street is the cause. All that for nothing.... What a Friday. |

| OOC: I'm sorry, but I believe now after reviewing your last few posts, that I've won this match seeing as how you've broken quite a few many rules.
Kaijin once told me that time manipulation is illegal. Ask Sparda. By examining how you wrote your time slowing, I never figured out how you managed to slow time to such a degree anyway...?? Xeios: My favortie is 1. 2's the face it needs to look younger. Chaos' new one is crazy! In a good way. Dasso looks awesome. Nuff said. Lucretia is awesome. Nuff said. New Kiera is the most awesome thing ever! The orginial Kevin is better. The other one is just not close to what I imagined. I prefer your Francine, cause the other one looks weird. Morrighan's second one is better, cause like what you said, teh hair. I already told you of what I thought of Jack. The public needs not hear my words. Wes is awesome. I really like the idea. I thought we were lacking werewolfs in total. Christine is awesome, and yes, the third one looks like Ed. Tis silly. I like your Duex better, but that's just me speaking. | Cairoi pushed off the ground with feet, landing back 10ft. He drew his sword and spun it lazily in his right hand. He slowly opened his eyes, looking at his hovering enemy.
"3 chances, says the wiseman. You have attacked 3 times, and I've given you the chance to leave. Your next attack will be countered. It will be your last attack." Cairoi smiled. He knew his enemy wouldn't come to his senses, but he had tried. And as long you try, then you've done all you can. |

| I personally disagree with you, Kaijin. A true simbattler doesn't change who they are based on thier enemy, but stays true to their character. Also, one shouldn't be afraid of another person looking up information on your character. Seeing as how characters change over time, a profile would be the most accurate source of information. In past fights, someone might have used a move that had just made up and such.
So, I agree with the second idea, but not entirely the first... |
