| Well, the first step is admitting.
I once had a layout made for me by True, and I loved it and adored it and tweaked with it until one day I deleted it. I wanted to learn new ways of layouts being made and wanted to see what else was left to offer. I need a new layout. I've tried to make some, but each time they erupted in fire. I guess I want one like Sparda, with a black background and no visible table border. Also, stretchy instead of scrollbar is cool. I guess somewhere in there I'd want a picture of either Dante in DMC 4, Lucas Kane from Indigo Prophecy, or Naruto Uzumaki. I'd very much appreciate this favor so mucho. |

Cairoi began collecting energy in his forearms, making them begin to glow ravishly with a white energy. He pointed his arms up in a cannon-like stance and let loose two beams of energy. The white energy was pearl-colored and sifted through the air like liquid in a beaker. "Holy Energy-Smite!" -Smite-The attack, if it hits a source of energy, counteracts with the energy and negates it. The beam, in such concentrated amounts, would negate life force energy and kill any living thing it hit. |

Journal of John: Introduction I’m trying to think of how this all started. It was mostly all a blur, a blur of fear and violence. It was…5 years ago, an awfully long time ago. I’ll try to recall it so that you understand where I’m coming from, how this happened to me, and what became of it. I don’t know if it’s interesting, amazing, boring…All I know is that it’s the truth… It all started 5 years ago, in a little town called Bensalem, PA, I was a 12 year old kid, watching the outbreak of World War III in my classroom. Everyone was scared, I didn’t understand why they made such a big deal about it. From what the teachers taught us, there hasn’t been a battle on American soil since the Civil War. The war’ll stay in Africa like it is now, and nothing big will come of it. How wrong I was. One month into the fighting, we were taken to shelters. I was sticking close to my friends, joking the whole time like a 12 year old does. I kept laughing until the bombs fell. We were huddled in a small bomb shelter, along with some of our teachers and parents. Kids were crying for their parents, wailing even. The teachers assured them they’d had bomb shelters to go to as well. We were forced to sit in the silent, dark little place, hoping to whatever deity there may be to spare us. It worked. To some degree. The whole country was ravaged by this war. For 4 years, I was an obedient little sheep, knowing better to listen to the teachers when they said shelter. However, I kept thinking that the war had been started for such a stupid reason. I mean, Africa wasn’t worth this much chaos. Why did China and its allies want it so badly? Well, for whatever reason, the war trudged on, and the lingering fear hung over all of us. During these days, people somehow managed to build a façade of normality. I went on dates, watched movies, hung out with friends. But we all knew it wasn’t normal. One day, I was in the library, trying to hide from the inspection agency. They searched for suspicious people and would jail you if you broke one code. I had a knife on me for personal protection unless they tried to invade again, so I could fight. I could be jailed for years for that. Anyway, I was hiding behind a bookcase containing things on ancient Mayan beliefs. I accidentally knocked a book down. The cover was so curious, it called to me. It said…”CROMA: The Mayan Life Force”. For some reason, I picked it up and skimmed through it. I was fascinated. They described this energy that had flowed through me as though they felt it too. Maybe…maybe this is why I always had weird dreams and visions, and I could see things and make things. This was the answer to the subliminal questions that had haunted me since I was 9…Croma. |

| Two new characters from Cairoi and Vulkar, both being tested here.
It's a beautiful day today,Lenn thought to himself while watching the ever-shifting sea. He stood at the mouth of the ocean, waiting on a small island far from humanity. The boy fiddled with a pebble, rolling it in his palms. His brown hair flowed the air, brought about from the warm wind blowing about the area. It was comforting to him, just as everything this earth offered him did. He knew why, it was because of his heritage and the power within him. He had trouble accepting it, but he knew within him that he was the succesor of the diety Gaia. He wore a brown shirt that was rolled up at the elbows, and a pair of jeans. On his feet were a pair of simple shoes, nothing that stood out. And around his neck, there was a necklace, which held a strange J-hook-like jewel made of a shining green stone on it. He felt a sudden twitch in the air about him. A cold air that smelled of...humanity. He stood slowly, not bothering to turn around to look at what had come from the line of trees. "Hello. Cairoi kept close to Sparda, keeping his pace steady and nothing to agitate his wound. This wasn't his fastest speed by far, but he knew they were going to run quite a distance, and energy must be conserved. "We're all running because you know full well we can't take the army. The others are coming, they're just slow. They'll realize we're running and follow. He's leading us.And stop being so egotistical. You can't daresay you've had more trouble than the world can know. Because most of us here, including Sparda and I, have troubled pasts more than likely much more painful than yours. So either follow or don't follow, but don't degrade anyone of us by comparing us to your plights." Cairoi continued to watch the trees, knowing better than to not watch his back. He was fully aware of Kaijin's presence in the shadows of the trees. To any who looked, Cairoi's eyes were much different. He had activated his family's genetic gift to him, the Hawkeye. His eyes were now pure black with extremely small white pupils. He could see magic, auras, heat signals...He could see things others had trouble acknowledging, let alone sense. | Well, the fact that they would bar ANYONE, let alone a relative from a funeral is more than wrong, I alone cannot change what has happened. But, here's my advice, and I hope it benefiets you.
You should try to ask them why you aren't invited with the most mature argument you can muster. Ask why they are excluding you from your cousin's funeral and if they can still fix it to get you in. Be sure to ask your mom/dad and parents of deceased, because their accounts may vary. Whether or not you can make it to the funeral does not make you less of a cousin. While a funeral is a respected tradition for the dead, they cannot bar you from visiting his grave, or remembering him. Think of him with fond memories, and the memory of your cousin will never die. All that matters is the time you spent with him, and what it meant to you. Just because you missed his funeral does not mean you hate him. While I am apalled by your family's decision, I can only offer you my condolences and hopes that you remember your cousin back in the brighter days of life. I hope my words have helped. |
