I want to be a writer. Like Kate before me, I seriously considered directing. In fact, I'm in the process of directing a movie now. But my passion is writing. I'm good at twisting words about to suit my purpose and my mind thinks abstractly enough to allow me to do so. |
Well, I'm going to fight for Creative Writing classes through high school. And you know what, it's funny. People tell me writing is basically a dying market. I DON'T CARE. I want to write stories and I could care less if no one reads them. Fame and fortune are nothing to me. Hell, If I ever were to become rich, I'd just buy myself an apartment in New York and have enough to be happy. The rest I'd give away. I'd take only what I need. But I don't plan on being rich. If I am, kudos for me. Also, I really want to get married one day. Kids, on the other hand, I'm not too sure about. A bit scared of having a child of my own. I'd mess the poor kid's mind up too much with my insanity. However, I plan on making music, making movies, making stories, making people happy, and making a difference later in my life. Fame and fortune shouldn't be a requisite for artistic creativity. If I touch one person, I've done my job.

He snapped his fingers and they appeared on a dark abandoned city.Bits of rubble and puddles lie scattered everywhere, making this once vast metropolis a large plain of destruction. There seemed to be one working street light illuminating their area, for now. "Well that light's the only light you're getting. There's no moon. Have fun." Chaucher bowed and tiptoed off into a purple mist, laughing all the way.

Nile Walker walked down the cobblestone street with no fear painted on his face. In his right hand he carried a short, pistol-sized crossbow. He wore a plain black trenchcoat, buttoned up all the way. He walked with care and readiness, able to move at a moment's notice. He turned a corner and stared down the vast expanse of shadow.

"Vampyres of the 'nite, reveal thyselves. Thou hast ample blood for nourishment wence you drain it from me." Nile rarely talked like this, but to better propogate he lived in this time period, the 14th century, he needed to speak the native dialect. In fact, he was here on a time traveling business. Vampires were toying with the timeline, and his current objective was to rid any that might have connections with Don Teufel. And he was more than ready.

"Fuck the illusion then." With open eyes, Nile threw his crossbow gun into the air then undid all the buttons on his trenchcoat with one hand motion. He took a step backwards, caught the crossbow gun with an extended right hand, and drew his dagger out with the left. His short brown hair perfectly matched the brown eyes he had now, which were filled with focus. He fired off a warning shot at the vampire, attempting to get a feel for it's style. (restricted) |

^O^ In my timezone, I got up at 8:30 today. In the summer. On a weekday. Because of an asthma attack. So my first thought was "HOLYSHITCAN'TBREATH"

^.^ Normally I have two sleeping zones and that designates (often) my morning disposition. If I sleep on the living room couch because my room is too hot, often my mother yells at me or my brothers jump on me. So my normal wakened state's first ponderings are then a series of expletives so foul they would signe your flesh off. If I sleep upstairs, I have my alarm clock. If it's on, I don't hit the snooze button. No, my body goes straight for the off switch on the side. If I wake up on my own accord, my first thoughts are COMPLETLY random. I have no way of fully stating what thoughts have in common. Here's an example: "If a firehose is a fireman's hose for putting out fire, why do we call a waterhose one if you can't really put out water with water?"

The moment his shot was deflected/toyed with, the magazine of standard bolts slid out with his guidance and hit the ground. He kicked it to the side as he pulled out his grenade-shot magazine and inserted it in naught but a second. He threw the venemous dagger in his left hand incredibly fast at Joachim, clocking around 70, but ummediately after throwing it, he shot the tip of the hilt, exploding it forward at speeds fast enough to fly straight through Joachim without much of a hassle over bones or muscles.

"This isn't either." Nile got the impression this wouldn't kill his foe, so he switched hands with the crossbow and with his right hand began charging energy. It seemed this situation would be much more melee and magical then the normal brand.

BIC: Allard turned to see to see Chris throw one of his insanely powerful magic darts at Freya. He cursed and made an incredibly fierce slash with Zephyr, sending out a wave that knocked the dart far enough from Freya it could do no harm. He turned to where Chris had ducked into his own forces and charged. Allard's men knew to get out of the way and Allard had a clean slash to Chris. He let loose one and it cut through Chris' armor and cut his chest open rather deep. Chris gasped and fell to the ground, in pain and bleeding. Then more troops of Chris' charged in on Allard, causing him to lose focus on Chris. A soldier under Chris' command ran up to Chris, examining his wounds. "Fuck sir, you're badly wounded. If we get you medical attention now, I think we can save you." He lifted Chris up into his hands and began carrying him off the battlefield. More of Chris' men surrounded them, protecting him as he lugged him off to the medics. Allard saw as Chris was being dragged off and was about to end his life, but he then noticed all the men crowding to protect Chris. A man who could inspire that much loyalty deserved a more honorable death. Allard shook his head and began calling out orders to retreat. His army had neither the manpower nor the rescources to hold out for much longer.

Other than that, I second everything you've said so fair Xeo. By the way, I am now pushing for Reviews and Recommendations forum. We could call it..."Critic Corner" Or such. Maybe "Review Revue" or "Hot Spot for the Critique in you." Trust me, critiquing would be fun.

Maybe we should designate one thread for a user and have them keep all their art and literature in there. Kind of like a mini Deviant Art of sorts.

Posting in other's profiles is now allowed, but I don't want any "OMG TAT'S SO KEWL" shit. If you have to post, I want constructive criticism or sophisticated review of the character. If you feel the need to interject, give it some meaning. Also, I don't want to see any flaming or spamming, of course. In general, there are no rules for the actual profiles, but Cairoi's here to offer you a basic outline for new characters.
