Seifer watched as Holly went to lay down and quickly made his way towards the steps, where he could be heard clamboring about. Eventually, a loud crash could be heard, followed by a lapse of silence before the sound of his feet stirred once more. He quickly scampered back down, with a plethora of pillows and blankets in his arms and on his shoulders.

"Here, I used to keep supplies in case emergency visitors came and needed my help."

He quickly distributed the pillows and blankets, leaving nothing for himself. But he cared naught. Since he mutilated his bedroom the day he left this, he was perfectly fine with being uncomfortable. He plopped down somewhat near to Holly, but far enough way so it wasn't uncomfortable for her, and closed his eyes. The gripping claws of fatigue had been clawing at the edge of his eyes, and soon he would be out of it. But for now, he was concious.

"Enjoy your sleep, everybody. Tommorow's another day."

Seifer slowly opened his eyes, looking around at the room. Activity was beginning once more, and it seemed as though the time to rest was over. He felt cured, the wounds in his chest gone. He slowly rose up and stood in between Leon and the sleeping Holly.

"Leon..." Seifer yawned as his hand ran through the scruffy hair atop his head, "chill out. Breakfast, then chores, then training. Holly, later in the day be sure to buy steak and potatoes. I'll make my specialty for dinner tonight."

Just letting everyone know the release of this is going to be released and me and Xeios agreed we are going to release the FULL version of Comet Saga. Originally the board was only going to get a demo of the world, but as to the fact I got the ok from Xeogred, it'll be so massive it'll need it's own forum. I need full activity from everyone involved, especially during the opening stages. So, if you get inactive, I kill your character.

Also, we lost a majority of the written work (Xeios, check the site =P), I have to remake it. All in all, expect in the next few weeks for the FORUM to be up.

So, everyone, you'll be in the city's main square when the RP starts. You'll onlyhave normal possesions with you. Just be aware of this.

Seifer was now stretching slightly as he was listening to everyone talk.

"Holly, you're not helping with the house. Your only job is to get the supplies. You can go get them sometime after breakfast. Go to the depot, meet everyone, find Old Derrick, and tell him everything that's happened. Then tell him where we are and that we need supplies. Everyone else, get ready then we're working on the house."

Posted on 01-31-07 03:05 PM, in The Terran Race Link
Terrans: The second oldest people on Terra, they are ruled by the changes and signs of nature, and with the magic that instinctively flows through them; they can command it with innate skill. They are shorter than Oridians, but generally just as slender. However, these people have honed their bodies since use into tools, and are known as deadly hand to hand fighters, as well as swordsman and bowmen.

Average Skin Color: Olive, Light Tan, White, Pale.
Average Hair Color: Black, Brown.
Average Eye Color: Green, Blue, Brown, etc.
Average Height: 5'10" Male, 5'4" Female
Average Muscle Mass: Medium - Medium High
Extraordinary Features: Very nimble and fast. Bodies built for Martial Arts.
Miscellaneous: Quick Learners. Adaptable. Efficiently use many Tools to their advantage. Take technology and advance it with new, unique ideas.
Homeland Geography: Hilly Plains, Plateaus, Forests.

Extraordinary Characteristics: Each Terran can manipulate the earth with Terramorphus. However, most if not all Terrans have a Totem Element, the element that speaks to them and is by far their specialty.

Fire Totem: Completly resistant to temperature changes, as they have an "inner fire" that they can manipulate. Tend to have red eyes when angered or in combat situations. Often have fluctuations in power making them uncontrollable and yet extremely powerful fighters. Shine in high-tension scenarios but are generally incredibly drained afterwards.

Water Totem: Water Totems have an incredible physical bond with water, being able to breathe underwater and are incapable of being harmed by raging tides. Cannot be dehydrated. The energy control style of a Water Totem is like that of flowing water: Always goes with the flow, never falters and overcomes most obstables, but if it cannot be accomplished, it will not be accomplished.

Earth Totem: The physically hardiest of the Terrans, they seem to be the strongest in hand to hand combat and are incredibly thick skinned. Their energy control style is unfaltering strength, constant powerful output, but can rarely change amount of energy put out. Their success is generally constant, as changing their tactics and output comes with difficulty.

Air Totem: These Totem children have the ability to glide with no instrument if the flow of wind is with them. They are very light framed and quick, but are generally weak in terms of physical combat. AS far as energy output is concerned, theirs can sometimes be the most powerful, but it is liable to quickly shift. If the tide is turned against them, their energy will be highly diminished.

History: Hundreds of years ago, in the Solaris kingdom, there was a radical thinker named Ametsuchi Zatenrai went against the grain of popular belief and said that the earth was more divine then the sun. He began a school of thought known as Gaism, which was hounded upon by the Solaris zealots. In an event hereafter recognized as the Scorch Trial, all the self-proclaimed "Terrans" were banished from the kingdom of Solaris forever, and their people were cursed. They left to find a haven where they could escape tyranny and be with the true Earth. Ametsuchi led them to the land the Terrans now inhabit today, known as Eden. The people have since recovered from the Sun God's curse and have also mastered Terramorphus, a field of magic that works as an alteration of the earth. Their people are honorable and highly skilled farmers and warriors, and no force has ever taken them over since their conception.

However, the Terrans have been known to fight amongst themselves in feudal conflicts, but to honor tradition, they use only melee weapons and no inventions that the Oridians brought with them. Currently, the Zatenrai clan, the noble family, has a secure hold of things, and even in times of feudal strife, all Terrans hold reverence to the Zatenrais and their royal lineage.

It is said that within the blood of the Zatenrais waits the soul of Ametsuchi, and one day a true master of the elements will raise and lead the Terrans to a new glory as of yet unheard. The latest Zatenrai had been proclaimed before birth to be this idol, but sadly this was not so. It was a fire totem, born by the name Mana Zatenrai, and according to the noble family, this child has left the kingdom of the Terrans, thought never to return.

Oridians: The current ruling populace of the colony Terra. They are a highly technologically advanced people, being able to run the atmosphere as well as participate in intergalactic trade. They single-handedly saved Terra from its destruction, and as such are viewed by all the natives with at least forced respect. Their bodies are tall and slender, and they are feline in nature. They are great builders and leaders, but if you need brute strength, do not come to them. Weapon-wise, their style would be gunplay. They are almost entirely magically inept as their beliefs have faded in the “old arts.” Though their instinct drives can spawn a sort of technologically created magical force.

Average Skin Color: White, Pale, Light Tan.
Average Hair Color: Black, Brown, White, Blonde, Red.
Average Eye Color: Yellow, Green, Blue.
Average Height: 6'1" Male, 5"6" Female
Average Muscle Mass: Very Low, Low.
Extraordinary Features: Feline Eyes, slightly enlarged canines.
Miscellaneous: Very weak. Terrible instincts without their instinct drives. Very Dextrous, they are extraordinary Gunmen, mechanics, programmers etc. Basically they're good at stuff that requires dexterty. They have a type of magic created by Instinct Drives which allows their instincts to manfest and strike out offensively or defensively.
Homeland Geography: Nonexistant. The survivable area is encased in a titanium dome with a space port that stretches outside of the atmosphere. Essentially a large bustling Metropolis of intergalactic activity.

The history of the Oridian people:

Approximately 3,000 years ago, a fleet of star crusiers landed on the massive planet known before only as X-59. The members of the cruisers, the only remaining Earthlings, decided X-59 would be the safest place to take base, now that Earth had been destroyed, and those responsible were hunting them down. X-59 was a giant, uninhabited monolith of a planet, but there was no atmosphere for humans to live in. The perfect hiding place.
For the next 7 years, the few thousand Earthlings all pitched in to construct a small city, the last defense of Man, known as Orid. The city not only repelled the attacks, it became, with time, strong enough to launch an offensive, with help from intergalactic allies. The enemies of Orid fell, and the city of humans was now safe to thrive.
The people of Orid spread across the planet, making a planet far roomier for humans then Earth had ever been. The entire planet soon was inhabited with "pods", or climate controlled cities connected with tube highways. Pods became competitive after a time, and a mass-scale nuclear war erupted, killing millions. In desperation, the survivors rallied together and ended the war, forming the Orid Senate, making the entire world into one nation. They rebuilt the damage to the pods and tubeways. Orid began to thrive once more.
300 years after the formation of the Senate, the use of the planetary core as a power source had its drawbacks now aware to all. The core was spent, and the planet would crumble apart without a gravatational center. The Oridians responded by building colossal piston structures designed to create and stabalize an artificial core. The plan was a success, creating millions of jobs and saving the planet. Orid, now rid of its problems, became a thriving intergalactic trading port and source of authority. Billions now lived on the planet.

Then, the comet came.

Posted on 01-31-07 03:08 PM, in The Animus Race Link
Animus: The Animus people are nomads of the Terran world, known as Stonefeet by the Terrans. They are giants of men, averaging seven and a half feet tall. They are known to react violently when violence is not at all necessary. They have a deep respect for their elders and a spiritual connection with all of those before them. This leads them to having a natural ability in shamanic powers. Allowing their elders to lead them into battle and fight with them for an increased strength and ability.

Average Skin Color: Dark Tan, Tan
Average Hair Color: Brown, Black, Dark Red, Blonde
Average Eye Color: Brown, plus the others.
Average Height: 7'3" Male, 6'10" Female
Average Muscle Mass: Very High
Homeland Geography: Deserts and Jungles.

Extraordinary Characteristics: The Animus have two different societies, each now relatively seperate. Sand Animus are the wild, untamed people of the deserts. They are completly resistant to heat, they are difficult to dehydrate, but at the same time, they are extremely vulnerable to cold. The Sand Animus survived in the harsh and incredibly dangerous desert by learning to sleep underground, away from most predators. When the desert grew cold and dark, those Animus dug underground and slept until the temperature rose high enough to wake them. However, when the sun arose and heat returned, they awake with an extreme vigor. Sand Animus are known for fighting without any appearance of fatigue when presented with high heats. The Sand Animus are much more physically dominated than shamanically driven.

The Rain Animus are those that have made their home in the jungles of Terra. These Animus are much more intertwined with the spirits then their barbaric counterparts, though their bodies are just as tough. They live high in treetop villages, normally coming to the ground only for hunting and worship. A Rain Animus who leaves the village is thus banned, as is most often the case, though exceptions exist.

History: The Sand Animus have been hunted down and made slaves of by the Solaris people for as long as they can remember. They were often the brute labor of the Solaris people, forced into humiliating subserviance.

The Rain Animus have been a secretive, hidden people for all their time. Little is known of their people other than by those who have lived in the clans, and then they are forbidden to speak of it.

Solaris: Former rulers of the planet terra. Worshippers of the God of the Sun. Their “Festival of the Sun” brought the majority of their people on a pilgrimage to the homeland, which happened to be their demise as the Comet struck their homeland destroying everyone who lived there in a matter of moments. (Not available to the general populace without being first approved by Xeios or I.)

Average Skin Color: Tan, Pale.
Average Hair Color: Blonde, Golden, White.
Average Eye Color: Golden, White, Blue, Amber.
Average Height: 6'3" Male, 6' Female.
Average Muscle Mass: Medium Low, Medium, Medium High.
Extraordinary Features: Appear to be almost Angelic in appearance. Have extraordinary strength compared to their mass. During the day, they appear to have an aura of light surrounding them.
Miscellaneous: Increased strength during the day. Low regeneration while immersed fully in light. A sort of "Light Magic," which is known to heal as well as greatly harm foes.
Homeland Geography: Cliffsides and Mountainous region. **No Longer in Existance**

Yeah, the forum will probably be up tonight, but the original first generation RP is not going to take place for a FEW days. I only say this because I want to post it on the weekend when everyone can get right into it. Okay, heres what I need everyone to do. When the forum opens tonight, I want you all to post with your character profiles, REVISED with the new character profile I'll be setting up. There will be a thread for it. Alright? Alright.

Get psyched, everybody! I literally have a few months of RPing already outlined in my head and my Roleplay notebook. Yeah, I have one. So what?

Posted on 01-31-07 05:08 PM, in Background Information Link
This will be a compendium of nessecary backdrop information you should checklist when thinking about joining or posting in context.

Instinct Drives- Invented by Scott Semper, Instinct Drives are one of the major issues on the colony today. An Instinct Drive is a microcomputer chip that is installed into the mind of anyone. It is the reason why melee weapons have stood their ground against guns. The Instinct Drive automatically activates when adrenaline is pumped in the body, and takes over the instinct. It analyzes the surroundings of the person and commands the brain to do the most effective move, as long as it is within the person’s capacity to do so. There are different grades of the drives, and factors that decide this are, for example, reaction time, success rate, and synchronization with the brain.

Instinct Drive Ranking:
(from highest to lowest)

X -- Anomolic at best, usually a defect gone extremely well in the rank "B" and "A" Instinct Drives. Always chooses the most efficient path. The most reactive instinct drive, bringing the most accurate results as quickly as possible. A perfect judge of distance and accuracy, and is sometimes known to interfere with more inferior instinct drives in the area. Also

A -- Military grade Instinct Drives. The quality of the chip more frequently creates a connection with the brain at an "A" grade and though it doesn't have nearly as high a rate as a rank "B" chip to enter rank "X" it is the most reliable chip to put into a soldier's head as it has the least amount of chance to be anything but a rank "A". The quality of this chip is much better than the "B" rank and reacts extremely quickly. A very good judge of almost everything a soldier needs, and quite often leads to regulating sleep. A soldier with this chip in their brain can stay fully alert for up to 18 hours a day if necessary. Also, a person is awoken to action much faster because of the quick pace battles have taken on in the most recent years.

B -- Just below military grade, and the highest rank available for purchase to civilians. Ideal for criminals and pilots. B-rank Instinct Drive chips are very good chips, but they are, and will be civilian chips. A martial artist with a good self-instinct plus this chip could hold his own against a person with a military grade Instinct Drive. These chips often have the highest chance, though still incredibly small, of acheiving the anomoly of X-rank.

C -- The lowest grade chip possible. Available for a low price to the general public so they may get through their daily lives without too much accidental harm. Though they are known to let their owners stub their toes or get into car accidents every now and again, they are very useful to the Oridian race and an Oridian without a chip is useless to their society. Creates a good judgement through combat situations, allows for basic "Fight or Flight" methods of the body to occur. Highest possibility of defects.

Popular Figures and Corporations:

Life Co.-The Oridian's modern convience company, they've made life supposedly immeasurably better for everyone. They are the current mainstram distributors of Instinct Drives, despite some underground competition. They also have businesses in transportation of land, sea, air, and space, personal technology, and other assorted personal comfort items.

Gerrick Masterson-A high political figure, he has control over many of Orid's political spectrums. At intergalatic discussions, he represents the Oridian Republic, and has also been granted the title of Presendent of the Interior, meaning he is the main figurehead at Senate Discussions as well. However, where Senate is concerned, he is little more than a figurehead. A smart, cunning and attractive veteran, many people are beginning to believe he deserves more power than he currently has.

Red Eye- Gerrick Masterson's answer to the extensive riot problem plaguing the nation. A Pinkerton-like organization with an anti-riot defense force and incredibly powerful
officers, this organization dispells riots quickly, effeciently, and mercilessly, and do a quick enough clean up job to ensure it is not overly publicized.

Name: Kenneth Ride
Codename "Zeus"

Race: Terran

Subrace: Fire Totem

Instinct Drive: A-Rank with a flawed Energy Control Gauge. Essentially, Ken has learned to absorb electrical energy and apply it to his Instinct Drive and body, giving him an incredible speed, strength, agility, and the ability to release the energy outwardly. However, this would not be possible without the machinical implants that regulate body functions when he actives this accelerated mode.

Age: 21

Sex: Male

Appearance: Standing in at 5'9", 148 lb, this Terran at first does not look imposing, besides his fiery red eyes and once steeled composure. He has a tanned olive skin, cold blue eyes that turn red when the adrenaline pumps, and an attractive face. His hair color is black, and is kept naturally straight, though quite thick at medium length. He currently wears the Red Eye Standard Armor Wear, which consists of a black Kevlar vest over a dark blue long sleeved uniform and pants, tailored to be as little of a distraction as possible. The actual uniform can stretch and shrink to fit almost all, though it feels like polyester. He also wears a loose brown belt with all his nessecary possesions on it, and and designed shoes with light black shin locks, barely noticable to the eye.

History: This man has a shroud of mystery about him. Little is known besides his public file, with most of the information given by him. It says he is 21, Terran, and a current employee of Red Eye. It has been revealed that he is the member "Zeus" of Red Eye. He has abandoned Red Eye due to personal reasons. He is a Terran but has incredibly flawed magicks and cannot conjure flames, his Totem element.

Home Planet: Terra

Note: You cannot join unless your character is in the compendium, which had to have first been ok'd by me or Xeios. Alright everyone, your characters are all in this town square. Let's begin.

It was a cold day in New Orid, but then again, no one was caught by surprise. These days, the people of Terra need never worry about the weather. For their weather just so happened to be artificial. The rain was still rain, the snow the snow, but it was controlled by machines, and fingers dancing on keyboards. Eventually no one cared anymore, for at least you could give those in control points for accuracy. The deserts were still deserts, the forests still damp and dark, the cities still mild with a tinge of economic cold. Everything always felt as it should.
However, people in the town plaza knew that something was amiss today, though indeed not the weather. Yet they could feel it in their bones. This feeling of fear, like that draining air right before a wave, emanated from a building on the south end of the plaza. Only the truly enlightened knew that this building was the current center of Red Eye, the anti-riot organization making Garrick Masterson a continually beloved political figure. They did their work without glory or infamy, they moved and acted in silence, and were jokingly referred to by the laymen as “The Garbagemen”. Indeed, in the eyes of the people, they were. They cleaned up the rubble before too much of a mess was made. But in truth, they were also suppressing political activists against Mr. Masterson. With a cleverly disguised iron fist, the organization was secretly shifting the tides of the political spectrum.
However, something happened to this organization today that set the wheels in motion for a revolution of sorts that would affect life on Orid and Terra for endless years to come. And it all began with a bang. A large, fiery bang.
Few people noticed the two figures entering the plaza, though eccentrically dressed. The two men had upon their faces the stone cold glare of a keened executioner, evident in their expression. The figure on the left was far more eye catching than the one on the right. After all, a man in a tuxedo and top hat did not simply blend in. He had slicked back, shaggy black hair, and a moustache and goatee of a similar style. His sharp blue eyes could be visible even when his entire face was obscured in shadow. As well as his pearly white grin of utter insanity.
The figure on the right was less imposing, but still different to be sure. He wore a black Kevlar vest over a dark blue long sleeved uniform and pants, tailored to be as little of a distraction as possible. He also wore a loose brown belt with some necessities upon it, and designed shoes with light black shin locks, barely noticeable to the eye. His hair was messy, thick, and as jet black as his compatriot’s. His eyes, however, were pure crimson, the same color as the insignia on his shirt’s right forearm. But upon his face was no sense of enjoyment. His face was as cold as his red eyes were fiery.
These men had taken a seat on the marble fountain’s edge, watching the building that inspired fear with determination. They were talking in low voices, impossible to hear amongst the clatter of the plaza. They seemed worried by the people around them, as if something bad were about to happen. And then, something did. A scream came from the southwest exit, and a man brandishing a large chain gun stepped into view, accompanied by several mechanical cyborgs. He ran up and his cohorts quickly cornered the duo, the only viable escape route would be through the fountain, which was just an open dash to imminent death. The new man, dressed in the same garb as the red-eyed man, only brandishing a chain gun, spoke up.
“Hot damn, you two! You gave me a good chase.” This man had blond hair, put into a ponytail, with long sideburns, and red eyes just like the other man. “Zeus, Vaudevillian, rise, and meet thy maker.” The two rose, hands slowly rising. They shared glances of a half-assed fear, then looked back at the man aiming the humongous gun at them in front of all the public to see.

“This is why you were never promoted, Locke. No finesse.” Vaudevillian chuckled. It seemed that to all nearby that this comment might have been the cause for the pair’s soon to be annihilation.

The man with the gun, Locke, was now quite enjoying himself. Here before him was his two rivals, who he had cornered and caught for what they really were. He had one of the mechanical androids come over and hold the gun as he reached into his pocket and threw a small package to the ground.

"We found your bomb inside the headquarters. You two, of all people, should know Red Eye is not to be taken lightly!"

Locke reached into his coat and mysteriously drew out a pistol, aiming it at the man known as Zeus.

"You, you fucking upstart, you started this. I promised myself I'd be the one to do you in."

Zeus quietly looked over at Vaudevillian. "Friend, it appears the first flock has grown too cozy." Without saying anything else, he reached into his pocket. Locke cocked his pistol and prepared to shoot if in danger. Zeus then rolled out a small detonator onto the ground.

"You got me." A sinister grin appeared on Locke's face, knowing he had the satisfaction of victory.
