Here's the proposal I posted, since we've all pretty much agreed to it.
Note about the last one: I intended that as an alternate possibility, rather than that being the only option if you had chars on tRO. I'm pretty sure bh is fine with that, but gimme a moment to make sure. |

Also, http://twilightro.no-ip.org/ is the alternate DNS. Kafuka org isn't really under our control...
Shame, I thought about trying out dmRO, but I never really had the time. Hell, I didn't start playing RO again until two weeks ago.

I would like to officially announce that TwilightRO's staff accepted Cheveyo's proposal (as he posted it in our staff forums, not sure if he wants it disclosed here yet) pretty much in a unison. We would just have to contemplate a little how to handle it in the most efficient way (i.e. the technical aspects... I'll contact Cheveyo on that topic later).
Here's a better link (without the excess t) by the way. I'm sorry it had to end that way for you... let's hope we can lead things into a more glorious future together then. Would that be the same notorious ErkDog that has ruined every forum (in some way) ive been on since I learned about sim battleing and RP'ing forums? He is such an ass about everything, especially when things dont go his way. If my client ran more, I would play Darkmoon and chip in for the monthly fee, but my client for whatever reason loves to bug out and crash so I stopped playing.
btw, what is the link to Twilight's server? I may go there and pick up playing on a new character, it was quite a fun game when I first started playing it back when you guys started up. |

But that's not it. I'd like to say it's because of a lack of players, but that's not it either; we had four when I made the in-game announcement at 10:20 PM on a weeknight. No, I have no convenient excuse this time. I simply don't care about the server enough to continue, nor have I for the past two months. The bill is $45/mo. For the past two months, I've mostly paid that for those of you who do play, not for myself. I simply cannot keep giving a quarter of my money to other people every single month, nor will I continue to support Erk. I have made a database backup, and I will see if blackhole is willing to do at least a partial character transfer to TwilightRO for those who want one. I cannot make any guarantees there. The server will shut down on the first of May. I'm sorry. |
