All the stores in my district close an hour early now because of all the robberies and shit. Nothing has happened at my store yet. I mean, we have one attempted robbery a few days ago, and a PS3 robbery about a month ago...but no one threatened to hurt us or anything. The guy walked away with the PS3 without them knowing, and the kid hit the glass on one of our cases and ran away. **shrugs** Congrats Nagis!!! **hugs** I'm glad things are working out for you.  You'll keep us posted on the interview and stuff, right? |

You cant get a job at Gamestop or EB games around here unless you really know your shit about videogames.
It wouldent be my type of place, I would love to work at an Electronic store. Or something for Entertainment like music/ Games, movies, and so on. Plus the people who work at EB/ Gamestop around here are kinda shit-nosed. They think they are better than everyone. |

I'm glad you were able to find a way to get a job. And you're right. Walt Disney practically means you already have the job XD, but it's also cause you're such an awesome worker.
While we're on the subject of jobs...mine is finally giving me more hours so I might not have to change jobs now. |

This thread is now officially(unofficially) about our jobs!
I'm still working at Gamestop. Just got a raise, and getting another in a few weeks. All because Minimum wage went up. Making $8.80/hr until July something when Minimum wage goes up to $7.15/hr(in philly) So I might be getting more money to compensate! woo! Still love the job, still easy work. Only problem is the risk right now. The store got held up twice in a month. It's kinda starting to get ridiculous. |

Congrats on the job!
I finally got a job as well, though it is fucking incredibly physically demanding. I'm ice boy at Bound's Beverages, a beverage warehouse in my neighborhood. It's like a drive through for beer (XD). My (main) job is to load up bags, either 10 pounds or 50 pounds and either put them in the cooler in the drive through, or the -40 degree freezer room. In the span of three days, I've also acquired the tasks of loading ice into trucks and cars, moving it all over the place, getting soda for people, and to help out if someone needs an extra man. My arms are torn up. |

Well, Its about time my prayers were answered. My best friend talked to his boss today about getting me a job as a Cashier at Winn Dixie this morning. And boy is Today a great day for me.
Also, ill be working Part-Time with him, same hours and all. ^___^ All I have to do is FIll out the Online Application, and wait a few days for an interview. Though with Walt-Disney screaming on my Resume, im sure Ill get the job, his boss sounded happy when he heard who I last worked for. |
