The prequel was "New Spring" right? I havnt read it since it came out 2 years or so ago, but I thought it was pretty good.. at least for what I remember.
If I remember correctly wasnt there supposed to be more books after New Spring? |

Well, the wikipedia entry on the book says its due in 2009, but I haven't heard an official release date. |

Ah, they've given a release date for the last one? Hmn, perhaps I will find time to read the prequel then. There is no way in hell I am going to do like I did for Harry Potter and reread all the books before the last one comes out though. |

He had primary amyloidosis with cardiomyopathy, but I think it was the cardiomyopathy that he died of. Strange, because according to his blog, he was supposed to live for another two years.
Anyway, it's sad that he died. He was a good writer and storyteller. At least his book will be finished by someone. I seriously need to get through all of the books that he's written by now. I just have found neither the time, nor the will to finish it before 2009, when the final one comes out. |

He had some disease I can't spell that basically caused the walls of his heart to thicken. It's really rare apparently. |

Gah.. I still need to read the last 1 or 2 that came out. Just having found the time yet. I heard rumors that he was sick, but I just thought it to be a rumor..

That's right, Robert Jordan, author of the Wheel of Time series, has died. The last book is as yet unfinished but he left detailed notes so it will be completed and released. I'm sad that he is gone, but at least his legacy will be completed. |
