Basicially, HOME is a to where you can meet people under a matchmaking service. It pretty much matches you with other PS3 users that are in your skill level to where you can meet up, play a few mini games, talk, do clan invites, and etc. Not like Second Life.
Users can meet up, hang out, and explore a connective world thats constantly expanding. No Pets like Second life, no killing people like second life, and no eating to survive like the sims. There is also an achievement system to where others can look at in your own personal space. Not like Second Life. I say this again, Its nothing like Second life Edit- Kinda helps to do a research before you start jumping to the wrong conclusions. |

It's a little virtual world where you make a little virtual character and it lives in its own little virtual house and you interact with other people's little virtual characters. Sounds like Second Life. |

Well they closed down the Closed Beta like a few days ago.

I'd heard the Home was supposed to be available by Spring. But if an open beta is soon to come out then I don't know when the info I know will come to realize. |

Major Bump, but current speculation the Open Beta comes into the Playstation Network sometime between Late February, and early March.
TO Support this rumor, the Closed beta testers have only a few days left of their trial, then comes the actual PSN update. (It closes on January 26th/ 27th.) Open Beta should be able to support Launch-Game, A couple of Store updates (Un confirmed), and possiably even a new location for everyone who owns a PS3 to grasp and enjoy. Sounds Promising, but like I said, those are rumors, and I hope those are all true. March is starting to look promising for the PS3 users...now if only they can quit making FPS games...im getting sick of them to be honest. (Cept CoD and UT3 of course) |

Yeah but this has a more variety of freedom and things to do within the game itself, which is more enjoyable when you are able to show off your artistic gameplay.

Personally, I cant wait to see the things MGS4 things will make, plus Ill be able to buy things and deck out my dude and look like a cool gamer in the process. Edit- Also, im a huge Sims player, Back in the day, on my 13th birthday, I got the origional Sims game for my old pc, and downloaded everything possiable and played it without cheats, but this is more amazing. Blue tooth communication, Physics for furniture, and an ever expanding world. Oh my God, I cant wait to see this being released. Ill be so awesome on it. :3 Ill talk about this for months to come! |

I am definitely going to get this. Reminds me of the sims and I liked the sims games. I love places where I can chat with people and still do other things like MMORPGs. |

After hearing reviews and watching trailers for Home, an installation program you can install directly into your playstation, I was seriously impressed with the freedom and availability this software has to offer. Being a huge gamer myself, I am more interested in a community. Instead of using a PS3 to play games (Which I love), you can chat with your friends and interact in this customizable free world. Its free of charge (Unless you want to buy some additional stuff from what I assume) and will be the heart of the PS3 network community. Is anyone going to get this? I sure as hell am, I love things like this. |
