So Borderlands is actually looking pretty cool right now, in my opinion, it looks as though the overall game has a slower pace, but it's still looking cool.
Also, the overall style of the game is looking nice. Oh yeah, and I actually liked Oblivion, for all those wondering, exploration was no longer required, but it made things more fun as far as dungeons/ruins/levelling up, etc is concerned. It just allowed for more diverse for those players that don't actually like exploring. |

Borderlands is awesome, plus, Cairoi, the 360 will red ring in your room, in like...three seconds.
Anyway. Opinions are unique to the person, by definition of the word opinion. Thanks, Johnny-States-the-Fucking-Obvious. Borderlands is going to be amazazazing. |

Edit: Hi. Thexare here. Just letting you know that the grey name color means something - specifically, it means "fuck off, we don't want you here." |

Also, Borderlands looked cool when first announced, I'm interested I want to look more in the weapon customization. |

That is the cutest thing about opinions, everyone has a different one Cairoi.
So to answer "Why", I will just say I loved Oblivion's battle system. But hey, Fallout has that choice, so that is fair game I suppose. Noooowww, about Borderlands... |

Why? My only problem with Oblivion was that the combat system was incredibly annoying. It was impossible to think what was going on.
So, basically, Fallout 3 is Oblivion in the future with KOTOR's battle system. That's awesome in my book. |

At first I thought Fallout 3 would be pretty good, but I do not like the option of making it into an ATB type of game (So to speak, for lack of better words).
Combinations, different types, whatever. |

It's not a half million different weapons, it's weapon combinations. Different stocks, barrels, sights, mags, bodys, etc. that combine to make the best weapon for you. They're manipulating the language to make it sound like there's more than there is. Like in Battlefield 2142, it says theres 10,000 class combinations. But that includes unlock #1. Then #1 and #2. Then just #2. Then #3. Then 1 and 3. 2 and 3. 1, 2, and 3. Ad nauseam. That's never going to happen. But it's true, and it makes a big number.
But the weapon system still looks cool. Custom weapons ftw. |

Oblivion with guns = Fallout 3. |

Originally posted by Nagis All I get from picturing Oblivion with guns is an overly large field with very little action, where guns wouldn't work, and a fast travel option which ruins the need for a large open samey world in the first place... But still, this game does look pretty damn good. Except... Half a million weapons is pointless. I bet I'd play the game with the same three weapons throughout, like I did with STALKER. Even then, I doubt anyone is gonne use more than about thirty or so different weapons throughout the campaign, and I bet most will be very similar to each other... |

Looks awesome.
And I expected it to be PC/Xbox360 only. But it's gonna be on the Ps3 too. YAY. |

Well, im not saying its like Diablo, according to alot of reviews I have cought up on (And the Front Page article of Sept. Gameinformer that for some reason I just got), its going to be seriously addicting. Think RPG meets FPS, which is extremely hard to concept into a FPS. Only ones that have done that so far are the Ratchet and Clank Games (Meh...not really) Mass Effect, and prolly several other games I fail and forget to mention.
Its a hit or miss game to be honest. But we'll see. Im having HIGH hopes for this one. |

Sounds like a bit of an oberambitious advertising scheme, but I suppose we'll see.
Oh yeah, a screenshot of its graphics, http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/957/957206/img_4817453.html It looked good, but I don't think it surpasses anything I've seen. Assasin's Creed and Gears of War both look about this good. Finally, I'm not sure how it can be an FPS and have the same sort of addiction as Diablo. It looks more science fiction, and Diablo was a top down adventure game, wasn't it? Sure, it can be addictive, but I doubt it's going to be like Diablo. I'm not sure about it, but it's worth watching anyway. |
