Jamie was the first up the stairs. He was always eager to jump right into something, he could be careful once he was inside, but this was just a huge thrill for him.

OOC: Time Skip! Makura, I'll control your character until you're ready to post again.

BIC: The group remained quiet as they neared the site. Keyare drove the Jeep solemnly, dampened by the air around him. Dr. West sat beside him, quiet and nervous. He had never done anything like this before. Why he was needed, he had no clue. He could only speculate, and thus, only fear.

The Jeep's squeaking, aged tires slowly came to a rest before a large cliff side. Embedded into the wall of stone was a large palace, a tomb that preexisted the pyramids. This was more than the resting place of the pharaohs. In the ancient texts, it was said to be the resting place of the mortal form of the gods.

It was time to find out. The group stepped outside the Jeep and towards the gigantic stairway leading to the entrance.

Jamie was half-tempted to say 'Why would we want to get a dusty old spell book,' but decided to keep this opinion to himself.

"Alright, then. One word of advise, do NOT march this army in there, and listen to everything me and my companions tell you to do. It is for your own good, the location may be trapped."

Ethan piped in, "Leave everything as is, take what is needed, get out alive. That's our way of life."

"Of course, we take any treasure that may have been left behind too." David spoke softly with his deep raspy voice.

Setne turned around and eyed up Jamie. The Brit was wising up.

"We, Mr. Freeman, will be obtaining the Book of Thoth, an actual copy of what is believed to be the spell book of the god Thoth. It's historical and cultural value are beyond imagination. Which is why myself, my servant Keyare, and the young Dr. West will be accompanying you. To keep you honest."

Outside, Keyare heard the booming baritone voice of Setne seal his and the doctor's fate. He slowly turned to the doctor.

"Ever been inside a pyramid before, Dr. West?"

Tryston followed the man nervously out of the tent. He swallowed hard, his adams apple twice it's usual size. He was just glad to be out of the ego filled tent. He waited patiently for the man to speak.

"I can see you don't like me. Then let's talk about business."

Jamie realized the time for joking and playing around was over, this man would probably kill them if he fucked around any more.

"What are we retrieving. On the phone it was mentioned that it is a book of sorts. I need to know what me and my companions will be looking for."

The itch to blow a bullet though the overconfident and poorly humored Brit twitched all through Setne's body. The fantasy playing in his mind of blood splattering the companions of this coy crypt robber was reaching a euphoric level, but Setne resisted. His day would come.

"Then wait."

With a sly smile Jamie spoke "If we were not ready, we would have been late."

Setne was very displeased with these Europeans' attitude. They were dealing with a man of immense power, one who did not let disrespect go unavenged. For now, however, he had more pressing matters.

"There is an unmarked tomb in the 15th level of the tomb just outside this tent. I want you and your associates to accompany me and use your expertise to assist me when needed. Understood?"

Just as Setne said this, Tryston entered the room. Setne turned and glared at Tryston. This operation was not going as he would have liked. As his hand moved towards his belt, Keyare stepped forward and put his arm around Tryston's shoulders.

"Ah, Doctor! Please, come with me!" Keyare quickly rushed him out of the tent, free from Setne's wrath. Setne then turned around and walked out the opposite direction, whispering something into the ear of one of his soldiers.

Before stepping out the tent, he cocked his head back. "You have 10 minutes to prepare yourselves."

Tryston walked briskly. Ever muscle in his body stretched with each step. The plane ridefrom Uganda was not only long, but cramped. He carried a suit case crammed with belongings. It busted at the seems nearly. In his opposite hand hung a field medical kit. The weight of it made him think. "I'm a doctor not a thrill seeker." He set the objects down a the gates of the camp. Sweat rolled off him in nervous streams. He entered. There was barely room for him, the camp was crowded with tension, not people.
He found the group of men eyeing at each other. He aproached them the way he would a priest timid and cautious.
His mouth could barely utter the words,"Sorry I'm late..."

The second hand on the man's watch struck 4:30 exactly as a man walked from inside the tent. This man's friends walked out seconds later, One wearing shorts and a tank top, and the other wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt reading: "If you give a Jackass an education, You have created a Smartass."

Jamie smiled at Setne's face, he seemed surprised, amused, and frustrated. A finger tapped on a black sports watch and Jamie smiled.

"This is the time we agreed on is it not? Because I was just sitting down to my coffee and wouldn't mind waiting a little bit."

David smiled grimly, he was not one for humor. But Ethan found this to be bloody hilarious. Bursting into laughter, even in lieu of the imposing figure before them, one which could probably break all of Ethan's bones easily. No matter.

"Well, I believe it is time to disclose some more information to me, Mister Setne, if I'll be doing this job, I need to know what I'm getting, as well as what I should be facing inside."

Setne was an impatient man. His assistant had told him the treasure hunters would be at the site at 4:30. It was 4:26, and they were not yet in sight. Never a man to mince words, Setne paced the camp, caressing the magnum in his hands.

This dig was the most important project of his life, and he was not about to let any hotshot Europeans steal it away from him.

"Sir, please relax, I'm sure they'll be here-" His assistant began before being silenced by the glare returned to him.

"They had better, Keyare. For your sake." The rest of the work force grew deadly silent, terrified of their giant, imposing employee.
