Though I was sweating it for the past few weeks, my statistics professor finally posted the grades online.
I got a B. I get to transfer out this coming semester. Sweet. |

Elara: Pennsylvania?! Teh woot! I wouldn't recommend Philly though...our public school systems such...although I would have LOVED a teacher like you in Private School...Where in PA do you think you'd teach though? If you were sent here, that is...
btw, Rogue and Elara...We all grow up.... You guys were like seniors in HS/college freshmen, and I was like "zomg, wtf. They're the big kids. **stares in awe** I hear ya on the Community College thing, Boss. S'why I've ranted (several times here I think. Haha.) about mine and am going to an art school. I'm actually pretty stoked. |

I don't think a community college was for me. I'm currently trying to fix some other things with my life, so I took this semester off. But I have to wonder, "Do I even want to go back there?" It really felt like I was doing nothing and just going nowhere. Maybe it was just cause I was doing all the basics (again right after high school! ), Math, History, Science, English, etc ... I dunno. The more I think about it I think I should just go straight to a university (probably KU, gets jokes like "If a caveman can do it anyone can", lol), or a specialty/technical school. My community college, although supposedly second biggest in the nation (JCCC) was just utterly boring and I didn't really get much done in the two years I've been there. GPA went down, dropped a lot of glasses, got a W ...
I do want to work towards some kind of degree though. I've grown up with parents that didn't go to college and I think that kind of pushes me a bit to "be a little more". |

I'm working on a BA in Information Technology at CSU. at the same time I'm working on getting a commission to be a 2nd LT instead of a SGT when I get out of college. SO. That's my story...
Lost my HOPE scholarship so I'm applying for Tuition Assistance. |

I'm nearing completion on my BA in History, and next spring I think I will be starting the classes I need for the teaching credential. However, whether I will be teaching here or in Pennsylvania is yet to be seen. |

The only schooling I have done was in Community Colleges, and my Year of Working at Walt Disney World.
Basicialy, I just took advanced history, Math, english, and computer courses. Nothing too spectacular I suppose. I had PLANNED on going to COlombus Technical College, but right now I just want to work and save up money, get a car, a nice computer, and get ready for that 5 Dollars a Gallon that is going to hit America. In this day and age, I know that a High School diploma isnt going to make me happy in life, so I am going to work my ass off for that Technical Diploma in Computer Science...it just might take me another Year or so sadly. |

I still have a year to go after this summer (though I am attending prom this year), but I still am pretty clueless on what I want to do. I am either thinking:
1. Go to the UBC (University of British Columbia, one of my provinces top schools) in Kelowna. My mother lives there, so I can bunk there and avoid living fees. If I do go, I have no idea what I would study. XD 2. Go overseas to Nippon. A visit first, of course. But eventually go there to chill for a good while. Still no clue on what to do. =/ Gotta get my shiz straight. |

Owies. Double majoring sucks. You'll pull through, but it sucks nonetheless.
Speaking of getting into comics...Rogue, you'd LOVE the school that I just got into. Community college can kiss my ass, because it didn't work out for me (not saying that community colleges are bad...but...this one in particular has quite the bad reputation and lawsuits on their hands I quickly found out.) So, it's back to square one. I'll be admitted next fall as a freshman again, but it's an art school. 4 years for an Associates degree, but they have strong connections with ILM and Marvel. Several of their graduates work for one of them, and their graduates are winning all sorts of crapola at film festivals. So...I'm not going right into directing. I'm going to toy around with special effects and work up the ladder. I discovered that I can do anything with film and be happy. Everything else...while I LOVE school. Dude, if I had the money, I'd take every history course, as well as many other courses, that I could get into. But to focus on anything else as a possible career, I learned depresses me. So...I'm taking the leap, and going into film without a saftey net. But I'll be doing something I love, and my school will guarantee me an internship by the time I graduate. So it doesn't leave me without a start. (I could go on, this is just a summary, believe it or not.) |

I graduate high school in about two weeks. Weird, huh? I started posting on the first version of Xeogaming when I was a freshman in hs.
As for my future, I'm headed to Georgetown University, McDonough School of Business. Probably majoring in Finance or Marketing or double majoring in both. |

All I know is I want to get paid for writing. And since I'm really into comics, movies, conventions, local events, and so on, I'm majoring in journalism. I've already got my certificate, just shooting for the BA.
Since I'm transferring out and the university I'm (probably) going to next semester doesn't have journalism itself as a major, I'm going into communications. |

I'd talk about it, but I'd expect all the Americans here to get confused when I use the term 'sixth form'. So I won't explain it, because I get enjoyment out of you lot being confused.
But basically, I'm currently taking my exams for my first year of sixth form to go towards my A Levels. I have one more year of that, then I'll be using my A Level grades to try and get myself into a computer games design course in university. Once that's over I'd apply to try and work for either Team17 or Free Radical Design since they're both UK based developers! |

So, I gather that just about everyone is either graduating from high school, finishing up finals, transferring from a community college to university, etc. But what are you guys planning on majoring in? What are you prospects for the future?
I've written out a game plan for the next 3-4 years. I'm beginning to take all the prerequisites for the nursing program (which is the only thing the school has going for it), at the local community college here. |
