If I'm not mistaken, the McChicken sandwich is pretty much a bigger McNugget -- which is just chicken that's been ground up and processed back together using fat to emulsify it and make it all one piece as though it were a piece of straight chicken breast.

The southern style is supposedly an actual piece of chicken. I honestly can't remember as it's been more than 2 weeks since I had one.

Exactly! It's gross though, how I see so many people blaming fast food (Ugh...my sisters included)

I almost fell out of my chair. XD I don't know why. Teehee. There's SOOOOO many McDonald's by my house. McDonald's, BurgerKing, Taco Bell, Wendy's...the list goes on....about a 10 minute walking distance from my house. It's nuts! I used to wonder why they could all be so close to one another and still do so well as far as business goes.

Bah, don't make such a big deal of it, people. The only way you get fat is by eating a lot and not exercising, regardless of whether you eat cheeseburgers or grilled chicken. That's all there is too it.

What, fast food being the reason the US is getting more and more obese? Well, no one is forcing people to go into those restaurants and wolf down 10 cheeseburgers in 5 minutes (not saying that happens, just an example ). Even though there is a McDonalds about 10 minutes from my house, I go there maybe one a month (sometimes not for 2 or 3 months) -- mostly for breakfast and to get their Snack Wraps.

Teehee. I know you weren't pointing it at anyone, s'why I wanted to make sure you didn't THINK I thought you WERE. Yay! Mindfucks.

Welcome back by the way. I noticed you posting one day and was like "woot."

And it's not JUST execise that makes people stay skinny. It's a combination of a buttload of stuff and is more complicated than it sounds. Just, speaking of free/fast food, is anyone else getting sick of that kinda stuff being blamed? **tilts head**

...you are joking right? Have you not read the story about Wii Fit telling an eight year old girl she was Obese? Mind you, she was like what, 70-something pounds? She was skinny!

VG and Thex: I saw the Taco Bell thing you guys mentioned in Virginia today. I died happy.

Nagis: Yes, fattening foods. I eat fast food. I am 20 years old. I stand at about 5 feet tall (5'2 to be exact.) I weigh 105lbs. 115(tops) if I'm ragging it.

I also chase after kids all day. Work in a busy ass retail store that brings 8 hour days without taking a seat. I swim in the summer. Once in a blue moon I'll go out for a run. I do LOTS of walking. Winter and summer. I LOVE center city.

Oh, and I don't say to myself "Self. You ate fast food. You now have to exercise." Too little and too much of anything (for the most part) can be bad for you. People just need to instill decent habits in their lives.

Not taking your comment as a personal attack, btw. Just using myself as an example, cuz technically I can't speak for anyone else and know I'd be 100% correct. Teehee.

Boss: Wii Fit...we need Xeios here to let us know how his store is doing, but my store...shit, we have enough Wii Fits on reserve to do a midnight launch, last I checked. Sounds silly, but it IS intriguing, I must say. Flop or not, it's going to sell. XD

I think the combo price for that chicken sandwich is like $5.09 or something. The sandwich itself is $2.49 I believe. Is it really much different from the McChicken sandwich on the dollar menu or is it supposed to be a much thicker patty?

Which is how Chick-fil-A has always served their classic chicken sandwich. Just pickles and nothing else (unless I'm forgetting there's mayo on there?).

Seriously, McDonald's is famous for seeing what's around and trying to incorporate it into their own menu -- like when they started selling tortas (Spanish sandwiches) and wraps for crying out loud.

One thing that kinda irks me, though, is how for breakfast at Micky-D's I used to get the sausage biscuit (no egg or cheese) combination for $3-something, but then they bumped it for the southern chicken biscuit and now that combo doesn't exist. Ordering a sausage biscuit combination that has egg on it raises it $1 or so and I don't like the fucking eggs. So I've been bearing with it and ordering the chicken biscuit anyway since it's the same price as the original combo.

I mean, it's not bad if the chicken comes fresh from the fryer. They're kinda ewww when they've been sitting.

Seriously the new McDonald's southern chicken sandwich tastes EXACTLY like they lifted the recipe off Chick-fil-A. I wouldn't be surprised if that's just what they did either.

Anyway, Wendy's already has a cheap menu for those of us who don't have a lot of money and want to mix and match. Can't beat $0.99 nuggets.

Hell, even McDonald's is trying to pull this whole reminding people they sell nuggets 4 for a dollar. Wendy's 99-cent nuggets still gets you 5.

Does WiiFit actually work well? I haven't heard any word whether or not it's really improving people's health or not.

My second favorite place besides BK is Wendy's, but lately I've noticed a lack in yum-yum. The patties seem dry (the few times I can eat there, since there isn't one in my town).

Just what America Needs. Fattening foods.

I mean whatever, you know? Whatever floats your boat. If that is what it takes to get more business, then God speed.

I heard Wendy's was laying off a bunch of people so I don't think they'll be making deals anytime soon, lol.

Hmm, this stuff might look insanely disgusting but maybe it'll be good?

Wendy's comes to mind. They have quite a bit on their dollar menu that I usually buy. 5pc nuggets, Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, etc.

Additionally, at least at the one here, you can get normal tacos for 59 cents on Sundays.

Have you guys seen this or tried that "new" chicken sandwich?

Seen it advertised, heard nothing about it being free with a drink... but since I get a large drink every time I'm there (it's a better value than a 1L bottle; costs less, same size or bigger), I'll look into it next time I'm out...

Also, a few Chick-fil-es last month had free breakfast every wednesday morning for a month.

I loved it.

A few fast food restaurants are trying to find new ways to get more customers, one restaurant is even giving away free food -- well, sort of.

Namely, McDonald's is coming out with a new chicken sandwich for lunch and chicken biscuit for breakfast. You get to try one for free when you buy a medium or large drink. Heck, I'd get one just to try it out.
