Hmm, came up with an idea here. Might make another forum like Game Over and High Scores that's basically a listing of old/unused forums (so they're like archived there). Like the SBC's, Comet Saga, etc. They'd all appear as sub-forums in this forum.
Riddler's Tower I think I'll just close completely and maybe put it under that forum if you guys think it's a good idea. All threads there though could pretty much go under crazy. Probably won't close all the threads in these dead forums (would take awhile) but I'll just unable posting in them. (should interviews go there too? Kind of died out). |

I know the newbie forum makes loads of spam...but it's a "good" kind of spam, for the most part. I think I was one of the people who supported getting rid of it, but I really haven't paid attention to welcoming new members since. Like Kaijin said...it really does feel nice. People showing interest in me when I first joined (5 years ago! Christ!) made me want to get involved and make friends.
This may bring up the issue of making "vacation"threads. Don't make one thread for everyone to post their vacations. I think it'd be pretty cool. Kinda a place for small talk...but small talk that doesn't really fit anywhere else BUT an individual's vacation thread. Example: "Virginia" *Insert member here* Not gonna be here for a few days. Going away to Virginia for 'til Sunday. *insert another member here* Have fun! *member* Yup. Back. *another member* Yay! Was it awesome?! *member* Yup. Bad example, I know...but if you think about it, it's small talk that really isn't going to fit anywhere else...Instant Messengers you say? That's cool...but again, one of the things that appealed to me so much was the blantent closeness people had over the entire FORUM. This type of thing may become spammy eventually...or it may not. And even if it does, it just may generate the passion of the board we all had before it goes to ruins. |

I personally enjoyed some of the things that went on in the Riddler's Tower (Mafia I, II and II and Hurts and Heals), but at the moment all thats being posted there are jokes, games or riddles that never get finished.
