Selina looked up and nodded. "Who ever it is better be glad I don't have actual bullets in my pistol." She saw a sharp turn. "Hold on..." She moved the wheel fiercely to the left causing the car to jolt down the sharp left turn.

"Mary." Lied Nina, quickly reminding herself to be wary. Nervously, she glanced out the side window, noticing the sudden pick up in speed. She didn't expect see anything strange, and so she had to blink and look again. Through the passing windows and cars, Nina could spot the roof of the van...

"Something's up there..."

Selina blinked knowing all in well what was going on. She wasn't equipped with bullets so she couldn't take this person who landed on her car out. "What is your name..." She said driving forward increasing speed.

((I was going to post stopping True, but I've been out of town and really busy, now it's too late. Oh, well, ce la vie.))

Zach Hotaru alighted softly on the roof of the car as it pulled away, making only the softest of sounds that was easily drowned out by the engine. He ran a hand through his greasy black hair before crouching low and placing his palm against the roof. He could easily pick up the vibrations of the dialogue occuring below him.

(S'my fault. I was supposed to babysit mine and Oneshot's charries, didn't realize that 'til after I made my last post. And I haven't had time to do anything here since. For some reason I'm forever logged on as long as the internet at my house is on. Continue on guys. S'an early abduction. You guys aren't supposed to be all gung-ho on "saving" Nina. **grins**)

Nina huffed as she landed in the car. Despite her situation, instinct caused her to fasten her seatbelt anyways. Her hands rested at her stomach. Between her hands was the bottom of her braid. Twiddling her hair was a nervous tick of her's.

"How do I know you aren't lying?" Nina asked, glancing around at the pictures. "If you were a bounty hunter and I haven't done anything wrong, why waste your time? I can't be useful if you're not a hundered percent I'd cooperate with you." She was grinning by the end of her statement. Selina's introduction put her naive mind at ease somewhat.

Selina continued off and stuffed her in a vehicle. "You're useful..." She said with a smirk. "I can use you... and trust me. I know you didn't do anything wrong." Inside were pictures of all the bounties she had captured for both sides of this war. She sighed and looked at her. "My name is Selina. I'm a bounty hunter and that is how I live. What is your's?" She started the car.

((sorry I was TRAINING YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THAT))

(O_o Little early for this...no one's gonna care about a random unknown girl being wisked away. Teehee.)

"What tha hell?!" Nina spazzed out. Grunting, she pushed away as hard as she could, trying to squirm out of Selina's grasp.

"I didn't do anything wrong! I swear." She cried out.

Selina looked at the girl that had fallen dodging several moves. "Fine, have it you're way. But I'm not leaving empty handed." She said picking up Nina. She ran off into the darkness and ran away.

Nina closed her eyes for a moment to block out the pain. She had her entire life to teach her body how to block out many heart wrenching sounds.

She was dizzy. Despite having her eyes closed, Nina could still feel the earth spinning. Once she was able to open her eyes, the vibrations coursing through her head now vanished, she let out a gasp.

A man with long red hair leaned over her. To her surprise, he was not about to harm her. Even though she couldn't see around him completely, she knew his focus was in another direction, as though his body were blocking something from her.

A few seconds later, Nina could see what fell to the ground. Her green eyes widdened in terror.

"W...What's h-happening?" she stammered. One moment she was running errands, the next she was simply being curious...and suddenly, center city had erupted in chaos. Once again, her head was spinning.

A young girl near him dropped to the ground. As Adivma tripped another enemy, he noticed a figure leaping toward the downed girl. He had no choice. He ran towards the girl, and dropped down to one knee when he reached her. The attacker was large, his course would not be able to be altered. He swiped his halberd up, catching the man under his right rib, and continuing out just above his left shoulder.

(OOC: Just fyi...I'm going to assume that True's first post, the "sending the whip down at the man" meant that she was cracking the whip at someone, and not just dropping a whip to him, for him to use, or something like that...minor detail, I know, but kinda important for a character with supersonic hearing to react to.)

BIC:

Nina's cover could hold no longer. The sound of the breaking sound barrier was too much to handle. Clutching her ears, she fell to her knees and cried out in pain.

(short, but post worthy. Need to get myself noticed in your little group somehow. )

Selina looked at the noble. "Look here..." She said with a smirk. "Those names don't go under me what so ever." Selina kept a shrugged look. "I'm only here for one thing. Prices on everyone's heads. It's my money, it's how I eat." She twirled her whip. "Now don't get in my way."

Avidma cracked his foe on the side of the head with the flat of his blade. He quickly spun the halberd around, jabbing it into his stomach. As he turned he slammed the pole of the weapon into the face of another attacker that had gotten close without him noticing. He wasn't sure whom he was attacking. He didn't owe his allegiance to either side, he wasn't even a resident of the city. But in order to survive, he had to fight; for both sides regarded him as a threat.

Fortunately, Avidma had been able to abstain from taking any lives so far. He doubted that he'd be able to maintain that for the remainder.

A Man clad in formal attire, gray slacks, gray blazer, and a white button-down, stood before the man named Gladius. He stared at the old fool, then turned his gaze quickly to those around him, drawing a small knife. Red streaks in his hair signified his change, his eyes, a blazon yellow. A smile brought fangs forth, though he was not threatening Gladius. The gangs needed to stop, the fighting had continued long enough, and should they fight any longer their numbers would be thinned to nonexistence.

"This poor fool is of no concern to you now, his battle has been fought, and now he makes a lowly retreat. Do not pursue him, continue your fighting amongst yourselves."

He knew that by standing here, he had bought the old man time to get away. His intentions were unknown, but power-figures were not permitted to be killed. That was his one true constant. Any who could further his control in any way, could not be taken, not until the time was right. A dumbass werewolf seemed to think himself above the young man's word. And was broken, cut down in a flash, remorselessly cast aside, without a second thought.

"You call yourselves Sigmas, or Knights, you are nothing without your blood-feud, now, continue it amongst yourselves. A disgrace is being done to both of your clans by working together for a common goal."

Those who were not in awe of this young man's speed seemed to relinquish their efforts, and to return to their battle. Territorial creatures we are...

Selina looked down at the group from a burning building. She sighed as she put her pistol away. She turned around and jumped off the building disappearing into the night. "Ugh.. that pisses me off. Another one. What the hell. I'm supposed to be good at my job." She put a hand through her blue short hair and put her coat on. She then looked down at the man who defeated the wolf. "He's wanted...." She smirked and grabbed her whip as she jumped in the air sending the whip down at the man.

There had been something stirring for quite a while now. Nina, however, had but no choice to continue to run her family's errands. This particular day did not begin any differently.

The sound of her mother's voice woke her early. As usual, she showered, and braided her long hair and allowed it to hang down her back. With the exception of mascara, Nina wore little make-up, however. For starters, her olive complexion matched her green eyes so well, there was no need to cover it up.

She ripped open her dresser and snatched up a pair of light blue, form-fitting jeans. Next, she rumbled through another drawer for a short sleeved, low-cut black T-shirt.

"I know! I'm going!" Nina shouted down to her mother, as she reached into her closet for a pair of black, ankle high boots with a two inch heel, making her stand at a high of five foot two.

Dashing down the stairs, she snatched up her kahki colored satchel and picked up the money off the living room table. As she threw open her front door, Nina eagerly made her way into center city. Waking up was hard for her that morning, but once she got out of bed, something in her heart wasn't right. It wasn't unusual for Nina to feel like her body wasn't as a normal body should be, but today she was extraordinarily uncomfortable in her own skin.

She could hear the destruction before she made it downtown. The sounds warned Nina of the danger, but still she continued on, as though entranced. Gasping as she caught glimpse of the carnage around the city, Nina continued to duck and cover about the streets, compelled to continue on, forgetting about the original reason of her presence.

Suddenly, Nina was taken aback by a distinct cry for help. Finally, she was torn from her trance. As she looked about her, there were monstorous beings flooding the streets, along with humans. Many were caught in fierce battle, while others were clearly outmatched.

Focusing her attention on the cry for help, the sound seeming closer now, Nina made her way toward it, walking closely to those craving destruction. She said not a word. She did not question why such a large group was heading toward one particular area. She had to blend in so she could scope the situation, and to her suprise, she did so very well.

Welcome to Bordertown, the first city of its kind. It began as an ambitious dream by Mayor Brennus. A city where peace could be achieved. A reuniting of humanity. Many were attracted to his idealism, and the city flourished for five years with little trouble, until today.

Today, the city is aflame. The city is at war with itself.

(Players, you have a choice of two places to start: City Hall or Downtown.

Read the first one if you are at City Hall, or the next one if you are in Downtown: )

Police Chief Seneca was grateful Mayor Brennus had chosen a Roman-themed architecture for the City Hall building. Stone holds up much better than wood in situations like this.

He barked out orders to the police officers behind him. They had been given the green to use lethal force to discourage this riot. The Sigma Task Force was busy in other parts of the city, so the force was mainly standard humans, but he himself, as well as his two closest men, were Druidic Knights. Well, they were. They obey the law now more than they do the code of the Druidic Knight, but they've still got the skills.

Armed in bleached plates of steel, they burst open the door and viewed the crazed crowd of people battling to the death before them.

"Standard formation, boys! For the Great Order!"

With a great yell, they charged down the marble steps at the crowd, at those clothed in red and green. They were the ones behind this.

Those in red and those in green stopped attacking each other and saw the charging hammer of law. Some ran. Some echoed the yell and charged the police. The fire still burned in City Hall.

Downtown:

Chaos was the name of the game here in the slums. The streets were filled with men wrapped in red tunics, transformed into various Stages, and those in green, swinging weapons around at their crimson targets. Aside from that, there were many on either side chasing and attacking innocent people. This genocide continued in its own fashion for a long time until the Serpent of Chaos turned its head to a single man.

Standing in bleached white metal and adorned with several blades, Gladius Virri tore through the streets. Armed with a heart filled with righteous rage, he cut down any who fed the fire that tortured the city.

But now, after an hour of extreme combat, he found himself cornered by Sigmas, Druidic Knights, and humans. He was wounded, but he continued his slow ascent up the winding cobblestone streets, turning only to deflect attacks or strike a lucky blow.

A Homo Lupus slashed across his back, breaking apart the straps that held his armor, and he fell back to the ground. He breathed heavily, not in fear, but in exhaustion.

As the werewolf prepared its finishing blow, a young man came swooping in and lunged his father's rusted blade into him. He turned and called to others in the streets.

"Gladuis has fallen! Come, help me!" Gladius slowly began to rise, breathing a word of thanks to the boy. He drew a shimmering blade and stilled himself. A horde of mindless rioters came barreling down the street at the two, thirsty for their blood.
