I just got it yesterday, and right now then I'm really liking it.

I'm not sure exactly what it is, but somehow, the combat seems to flow really, really well. I'm transitioning from different types of weapons, to attacking different enemies, etc way better than in most games I've played.

And I like how if you hit the buttons slower, and time your attacks better, then you'll be a better fighter. The Hobbes can do nothing against me!

By the way, does anyone know if there's a way to make it more difficult? I haven't looked yet, but so far, the combat seems a bit too easy. If not for that, this game would be very, very awesome, rather than just very awesome.

One very makes the difference.

I just bought a 360 and Fable II today.
Purchasing a game just to financially cripple me. Slap the shit out of me, please.

Weird, I was looking all over GameFAQ's and heard you can get them all there, except Backflip. Guess I'll keep checking.

I was able to get backflip at the book store in Bowerstone and I haven't even TOUCHED pub games.

EDIT: Fixed a typo. I'm a perfectionist like that.

Yeah, there's controversy around that, because all original 1000 gamerscore points are supposed to be available for free, according to Microsoft's policy.

So apparently the only way to teach your dog Backflip ... is to have Pub Games, ugh. Kind of feel like I wasted my time going for Completionist here.

Maybe I can find someone who will give me the book, it's practically all I need for the achievement. But I'm definitely not buying an XBLA game for 50 extra GS points...

FX: Makes me think of the cover too, you definitely cannot make an evil character that looks like that (in the reflection) ...which is a shame.

Also, not a whole lot of enemy types ... at all.

I've got a lot of complaints for this game, especially how glitchy and how it chugged along all the time (probably not good playing this along with Dead Space and Far Cry 2, which kind of make this look like a last gen game in terms of framerate, etc), but it was really fun to play. Whenever I pick up the controller and play it I have a blast for awhile, but when I think about the game I feel kind of disappointed. Weird?

After my second play through, I agree with you guys. It seems kinda stale as far as the customization goes. The first time through was just overwhelming, but now...

Damn you, Peter Molyneaux... Damn you...

Yeah, it's like how your character ends up in the first game. I'm fine with that, but I was expecting this:

It still bugs me how hard it is to swing from evil to good, since there's not much to do to get good points, whereas to be evil you can just kill random people. There should be random rescue citizen missions a la Assasin's Creed, or something.

Yeah, it pretty much made me think of GTAIV in that aspect. At first it's really cool and seems like a lot, but eventually you start seeing nothing but the same clothes, styles, etc, over and over ... and over again.

Also this is a big complaint I have, since there is no armor or anything like that in the game because the dev's wanted players to have more freedom with their physical appearances ... well, after leveling up abilities you end up looking like the hulk and well she-hulk's are kind of an eyesore. It's either that or just don't level up your abilities so you can have next to no health, deal hardly any damage, etc. Basically I just think the forced physical changes end up contradicting the freedom they tried to give us by not having armor and things like that effect stats.

I'm sort of disappointed by the character... development, I suppose. In the end all the characters will look the same, and there are only a few factors that don't make too much of a difference. No matter what, you'll get buffer when you put points into Strength, taller for Skill, and mana veins for Will.

The few things that play into it are clothes, hair, and alignment (gender too, I suppose), but in the end everyone looks pretty much the same.

I've destroyed all of the towns then subsequently repented and gone perfectly good. I love this game!

You forgot Fallout 3. For shame!

I'm personally a little skeptical about that one. I've seen videos, it looks like to me the gameplay will either be really awesome or really fail. I'll have to play it for myself though.

I (sadly) never really played the old ones though. I played a bit of the first and I can't get the second one installed ... damn collection I bought doesn't work.

Yeah, watched a friend play for a few hours last night after they picked it up at midnight. I was very impressed with what I saw and I really love the no-armor idea. Instead, your defense and all that is just dependant on stats. This way it encourages players to dress up and look however they want, so you won't have everyone looking the same, etc. (for anyone else who was curious about how it worked). I think a lot of other RPG's need to follow this idea.

Definitely going to pick it up myself soon. This and Far Cry 2 will probably keep me busy for a long time.

It's actually pretty damn good! About 10 times bigger than the last game, more open areas, a dog, and they took out armor and replaced it clothes that only affect appearance (so you won't force yourself to wear plate armor when you want to wear that assassin's gear with almost no protection).

Very customizable and easy to pick up and play! Not to mention it looks great!
