"You certainly seem familiar, Teundusia. Maybe my mind's just playing tricks on me. Maybe not."
Cairoi's gaze returns again to the arena. "Maybe it's just this place. Man, it feels like I've been asleep for years, and this is just another dream." |

Teundusia looked to the man in bewilderment. "Familiar?" She thought to herself. She had no recollection of the man. However, she moved forwards towards him, wanting to know who he was.
"I'm sorry, sir, I don't believe we've met..." She held her hand out to shake the man's hand, "My name is Teundusia." |

From deep down one of the arena's cavernous corridors, a disheveled man lumbered into sight. He yawned and ran his fingers through his lengthy hair, feeling the underside of his chin and the beard that had sprung into being there. Cairoi eyed his surroundings with curiosity, obviously disoriented.
"How long have I been asleep?" His eyes turned to the newcomer who had awoken him. "You seem familiar." |

Teundusia pushed open the massive stone door to the arena, surprised to find just how heavy this thing is when the automatic mechanisms aren't on. Each step she takes into the dark room brings up a small cloud of dust, her footfalls creating tapping noises which echoed across the arena's expanse. She had never seen a place so deserted.
She watched in fascination at the dust particles as they danced around in the few beams of sunlight which poured through the open, dirty windows. The scene reminded her of festivals on her home planet when she watched from many miles above. In a cheerful mood, she held up her hand and forced a small green orb, glowing brightly enough to light much of the area around her, causing further patterns to form in the disturbed dust. The soft hum that emitted from the orb kept her feeling calm, despite the empty eeriness of the stone dome she was in. Her calmness fell as she heard a noise in the arena. She couldn't place exactly where she heard the noise, due to the awkward echo, but quickly deduced the location as she heard the next noise; footsteps which filled the cavernous room as her's had done. She smiled, happy she wasn't the only person here. |
