My thoughts exactly. I didn't really research this too much so I didn't know where the photos came from. I just knew that we were torturing prisoners and there was blatant proof and no action is being taken, even though I'm pretty sure the entire world knows about it now. |

I thought the Abu Ghraib pics came out before he was elected.... the only ones I know of that he is holding back are the pictures from Guantanamo that show us torturing prisoners. I understand where he is coming from in worrying that the pictures could be used to incite further violence against us, but just the fact that they exist and are known to exist is going to do that anyway so I think they should just release the photos. |

Yes, I believe they were the Abu Graib photos and Obama didn't want the public to see them. Sorry I wasn't more specific.  |

Could you add a bit more detail? Do you mean the Abu Graib (sp?) photos? What did Obama say about it? Sorry, just want a bit more info before I comment. |

I was reading the other thread about the pictures taken after that traffic accident and I remembered the prison abuse photos that were leaked.
What are your guys' thoughts on the issue? I mostly agree with Obama on most cases but I think that no good could come from just sweeping these things under the rug. |
