Originally posted by Cyro XeroHaha, thanks, Cyro Yeah, all these songs are going to get a full vocal make-over, probably around summer. We're all really serious about this, so we wanna make sure we do this right. I guess the main thing that draws my inspiration are Trotskyist ideals and viewpoints, and grim reminders of how absurd and gregarious the human race can be. It's not going to be the kind of music that you headbang and scream to, but rather, cross your arms, frown, and nod. lol Thanks for your support, dude, it really means a lot. |

Well, first of all let me say it's good to see you after a while. Maybe you've been around recently, but I haven't seen your face here much for some reason.
It's great that you're into a good band. I believe you're the first person here to do so. The music is definitely unique. I can say that much. I don't think I've really heard neofolk, and ambient music is one of my favorite types. The songs that I've listened to on your Myspace could really be of awesome use in something like a Wild West-themed game or movie. I don't know if there are supposed to be vocals with the music on your page, but it does sound good. Although that particular style isn't what I'm into, I could listen to a couple songs a few times and run with my imagination. Kudos to you, Raoh. |

Eeeee! It's neofolk, so I don't expect it to appeal to really... anyone, lol. Still, thought I'd let you know. The band is called "We Go West". A little background, taken from Myspace:
We Go West started as a collaboration between college friends Evan Sell (me) and Andrew Scherman. Realizing their mutual love for metal, folk, ambient, and pagan music, they decided to form a neofolk project, We Go West. Evan would take over on vocals, while Andrew would handle guitars, and flutes etc. Utilizing their various musical influences including early Mortiis, Opeth, Alcest, Death In June, Sonne Hagal, Forseti, and Of the Wand and the Moon, they would soon create a sound that fused traditional neofolk with their own personal elements. Soon after they recruited one of Andrew Scherman's friends and bandmates Andrew Kelly, who shared an equal love for neofolk, for keyboard and percussion duties. Myspace. The only song on there is a garage recording while I wasn't present, given the fact that I'm in Maine, and they're in NJ. Lyrics I wrote, for those who care: Europa Alive! Melting Pot Ballad for Sinners We Go West Sinner Sisters Schlechte Schweine Feedback and comments are appreciated! I am so stoked... |
