Simple, yet good. I especially like the beginning. The line about the attacks seems a bit long and deracts a bit from the flow, but that is the only real criticism I can make. |

Heavy,
Boots are so heavy, Not as heavy as my shoulders, Exhausting, Carrying the world on my shoulders, I want to cry when I see their faces, They are so happy, They suffer so much, We give and give, Yet it seems nothing has helped stop the attacks, Scared, The alarm sounds and I hide under concrete, What will happen next? I can't see, Nothing, Nothing heard, No explosion. Hot, Just like every day, Walking to work in the heat, In my heavy boots. |
