10-10-10 in Roman numerals was XXX, so Xeo's b-day was Porn Day. |

Yeah Red Stag is probably what I was drinking, it definitely had a slight cherry flavor to it. Admittedly it got more intense going down every shot... haha. Maybe I've just been around a ton of crappy whiskey, but so far this is the only kind I enjoyed a little bit.
Originally posted by Lord Alexandor SO, hopefully that means 23 will be one heck of a year for me. By the way do you or anyone else know by chance what was the other big rom hacking site next to CGC, TEK, and Acmlm's back then? I think a guy from CGC branched off from them and made his own board... in fact I think I was good friends with him for a long time but I completely can't remember what his name was or the site. Oh wow holy crap, thanks to archive.org I found it. Vagla! One of those cool guys back then I knew that completely and utterly disappeared from the net after a short while... I think he was on Acmlm's for a bit. But he ran DES, Dragon Eye Studios back in those days. Crazy nostalgia. I also kept in touch with DxEdge from TEK off and on, I think he's still on my XBL list and pops up from time to time. Always had some epic Mega Man hack idea's but I'm not sure if he ever did a full hack. |

Managed to get a few people to try the other classes - Gywall had a hilarious Assassin setup. Fucker just wouldn't die. Probably had the highest defense of anyone on the forum. And honestly that's basically the only thing I remember about TEK. The battle hack. Neither am I, but Jul's holding together quite well. |

BTW, for all the geeks/nerds out there: 101010 in binary = 42 in decimal
Xeus became 23 on 42. XD |

Anyone else worried that it's also 10-10-10?

I still try to remember how I got here... and can't remember, except that I was recruited from Vizzed. I remember for a long time I didn't want to join for some reason... but eventually did (I think thanks to Randy...), and loved it. |

You told us in staff about three years ago that the board failed because it was shut down for a whole summer so that a battle hack could be created...
Either way though, happy birthday, ye old fogey. |

Well, if it makes you feel any better, Xeus, this is literally the only forum I go on. I love this place, and it is the only thing that draws me to forums anymore.
Four more years of Xeus! |

Heh, your birthday fell on 10-10-10. That's a lot of heaven.
I just spent 30 minutes looking for work-safe Ayane/Kasumi eye candy so Photobucket won't freak when I host it there. Yeah... impossible. So yeah. Not safe for life. |

I was on MoD for about 4 days when it suddenly disappeared off the face of everything ever. I was having a good time there, too!
Then I learned that Kaijin and Drizzt found a new place (here) with all the old people and I kinda jumped in a bit late but I've been here ever since, through thick and thin. |

Thanks all. Yeah 23 seems a little awkward.
Last night I was at a buddies hanging out and had six shots of some whiskey, but didn't feel anything at all, haha. If I had probably a single beer along with that though it probably would have been game over, whiskey always spawns a bad night for me. It was the first whiskey I've ever really enjoyed though, I think it was called Red Tag or something. Definitely had the flavor but it was easier going down I guess. Going out with da family today to Olive Garden! Chicken Alfredoooooo! Probably going to go out with more friends again this weekend, maybe catch a movie or something. -------------- Yeah this board is getting ancient and has survived a lot. It's pretty odd thesedays we're one of the only AcmlmBoard's still around and alive. It's been such a long time and so many things have happened it's hard to piece it back altogether, but I'll try and do another recap here... I was into romhacking back in the early 2000's. It's weird thinking how young I was back then but I knew everything about roms/emulation/hacking a bit back then (probably 12-14). I eventually stumbled upon a place called Challenge Games Community that made the infamous Super Mario Bros 3 Challenge, which I somehow finished (one of the only "hard" hacks I've ever really bothered to beat). Well this place ended up having an AcmlmBoard and this is when I first got into forums and MasterSephiroth was born (sigh... lol). I thought the RPG elements were kind of neat so it was a little obsessive at first. Eventually I noticed the place linked to Acmlm's itself and so I eventually found my way there. I discovered Vizzed shortly after I believe and some other places. I can't remember how or why but I met someone that went by the name of Knives I think, him and I along with Randy made our own board that went nowhere. This is when Randy and I decided to massively spam (advertise) our forums by PM'ing people across Acmlm's. We were quickly both banned. So I stayed at Vizzed's for a long time and posted way too much, always having these challenges with some other people there to have our names cover the entire index by posting last in every forum. The owner liked our activity so eventually we worked our way up as staff here, I think I made it to admin before the place imploded for awhile. I knew of some other AB's at the time, like Ogre's Board which had a cool battle system at the time, then I remember hearing the owner was put in jail for pedophile stuff or something so it disappeared I think. I also found Anime-US which some here may remember, eventually I became staff there for awhile. There I believe is where I met BenjaWHAT and some other people that might still be around here. Eventually there was a feud between staff I think, and some people went off to create X-Realms, where I was made staff and met Sparda. There was also TEKHacks, another place like CGC. I was staff on TEK as well and I think that may have been where I met Chev and some others originally. (A short snippet on how we got Katana here... because it's pretty hilarious, basically Benja and Leon were all "Boss we need more LADIES" so he throws a SailorMoon forum at me that looked like it was mostly female based. I may have PM'd some people or not, but I got to talking with Katana and convinced her to come over... and tha'ts that. ) I also knew of Erk's board around this time and met someone that's name escapes me at the moment and together we made Shadows Edge, which was far more successful than that first board I ran. We pulled who we could to the board and this time I certainly did it more professionally, at least I hope. Well the other owner had all the actual power to the board and supposedly as the story goes, while backing up the forum his power went out so we lost everything. A bit hard to believe thesedays but oh well. X-Realms did not last very long at all and so together Sparda and I, probably with Kaijin around this time, decided to make Masters of Darkness. People from SE and other boards came and it was really good. However I can't even remember how many horrible domain names and free hosting sites we used for the longest time, haha wow. Somewhere around this time another feud went up around Anime-US saying we were stealing members or something, so more silliness and drama ensured for awhile. I hate to say it but I can't even remember specifically what killed MoD. I know this one guy that said he was going to make an item shop or something and had to have the board "down" did nothing for months or something like that, so I kind of blame him. Or maybe we were hacked, or I just couldn't keep it alive on free sites. Or perhaps this is when I stupidly decided to let MoD merge with Erk's board? I don't even think that lasted a few weeks. Sparda and I hated it, but I think there were conflicts that pushed us into that situation. I really have no idea how these events go, I do know Masters of Beta was up a bit while MoD was for testing purposes, I somehow got a free domain/hosting for awhile from some random guy I talked too over AIM. After MoD went down I tried to round up people to get on MoB but it never took off, though I think I do remember letting everyone know it was just a temp answer so maybe everyone was waiting for the new thing. Sparda was the co-star throughout a lot of this but we had a major falling out because I couldn't let go of the old days for a long time and he hated my attitude towards activity, when I kept pushing for it. Maybe that's why (I want to think) I'm so relaxed finally after all these years about it all, maybe too relaxed. But we've since then patched this up and he even had me on some "best friends" FB thing awhile back. Somewhere around these times I matured a bit (I think!?) and made a better name for myself around the bigger places. I got back into Acmlm's after talking with him and others about it, went in as Xeogred and eventually even worked my way up as staff there. Kind of my AB highlight I guess as I was able to pull off such a huge turnaround. It was good times for awhile but the drama there was endless and as some of you here may know, the community pretty much divided into three separate places, I'm not even sure what's still around besides Jul thesedays. I noticed the majority of people I knew and cared about off of AB's pretty much disappeared around this time, so I pretty much did too. Eventually Evo comes around and we got evogaming.netho.tk for a long time under her and Erk I think. This is when I wanted to do some kind of gaming site along with the forums and well, we all know how that went! Somewhere around this time (2005-2006? no idea) I probably came up with the name Xeogred, or was that on MoD? And I thought it was kind of funny how "xeo" could be put in front of a lot of stuff, so xeogaming just came to mind eventually I guess. From there on despite being even more recent, my mind is even fuzzier about the major events. We've had some major bumps and bruises on the way and some of us may miss the MoD days but ever since XG, it's all definitely been more set in stone and stable than ever before. And so here we are today! ------------- So there it is, roughly. Probably like 5 pages out of a 50 page history book or something, haha. Chances are I got a lot of these facts wrong and some others here who have been around just as long can probably prove it! I can admit I was very obsessive about it for awhile. I remember in Jr. High I had to get on Vizzed at school, at friends, stayed up all night sometimes, it was bad. I think by the time Xeogaming was really rolling I finally stopped caring about most of the other boards or having to be staff on 50 other places, so for awhile I think it was just XG and Acmlm's. I think I even turned down some offers around this time when people tried pulling me away or something. Because of all this, nowadays I have absolutely zero interest in becoming staff on other sites/forums. The only places I stick around nowadays are here, Metroid Metal (which I've been on since 2003, crazy!) and these other metal boards. That's it! Phew. Simply put a special THANK YOU to some of you crazy ones who have been through all these bumpy roads since the olden days, lmao. |

Enjoy some fine brews and/or some delicious hard liquids. XD PS: I remember Shadow's Edge, MoD, and XGF. MoB must have been while I was away from the message board business... |
