Bumped because I'm bored and this thread shouldn't be buried.
There's nothing to watch on Tuesday nights. I'm supposed to be writing a recap of Sunday shows (Game of Thrones, Eastbound & Down, Mad Men, etc) and it should have been posted already. I really should be writing a cover letter and editing my resume to send in to this one place I've had in mind for a couple weeks now, but I keep putting it off like the lazy fuck I am. |

My grandmother's over right now and I have to watch her. Since Brandon and I are car-less, he's in the garage pumping up the tires on my bike and riding over to Church's to get my grandmother some fried chicken.
I've fallen into one of those ruts of boredom and inactivity that while I know I should be doing something productive (specifically things I was asked to do, like write an article for a friend and edit something for another), I can't bring myself to do them. Fuck. No. I feel more like being a sack of shit and just laying around, reading nothing of any real substance. Or sock-skating. Yeah, I think I'll sock skate for now. I'll lay around some more later. EDIT: OK, bored again. Started working on my 101 Things To Do in 1001 Days list, and I'm still stuck not sure what other goals to include. There's way too much travel on there. Can't think of any mundane things that need doing. |

I've been almost obsessively playing FreeCell.
So it's come to this... |

Oh man I want some Arby's right now. |

So I've been exceedingly bored lately. I've been somewhat glued to the board off and on for the past couple days.
Brandon and I might just go for a walk to the Arby's that's a couple miles away just so we can save the gas and get some exercise. |

Terraria has me hooked, man. I find myself scavenging for news on the next update. It's terrible, I'm fiending for it. |

Terraria, New Super Mario Bros, and Little Big Planet just don't cut it by themselves! |

Man, this world needs more multiplayer 2D platformer games. As well as people to play them with.
Then again, that sentiment doesn't mean to say I'm bored, just anxious. |

I went pants shopping with Brandon last night and today. He got some money from my dad for getting my dad's vending machines listed online and sold. We literally drove to two Wal*Marts last night before ending up at Target where he finally got a pair of jeans he liked.
We ended up going to ANOTHER Target today so he could get another pair with the coupon he got with his receipt. And then I've been hovering around the board all day. |

Originally posted by Rogue Haha. I nerd out when I'm bored...but it's highly entertaining to nerd out...which brings me to the conundrum of rarely being bored. Lmao. But when I am, I like...die. Seriously. Right now though, the only thing that's killing me is that hour I have to spend three days a week in my math course. Seriously. This lady CAN'T speak english. Which I have patience for. Had a teacher like that, but he was still hella good at teaching math, if you just stfu and listened, and he was easy to approach outside of class to get help. THIS lady, can't teach math for the life of her. AND no one can hear her. She speaks too softly....and it's just REALLY boring to sit there, get the work done, and either wait for help or to move on because she's too busy trying to control the class, which in turn erupts into a bit of chaos because they can't hear her and they're trying to get the work done. Like...I don't think I've ever been in a classroom where chaos erupted BECAUSE they care about understanding the work. /rant...but the boredom in that class is mind blowing. |

Yeah, regarding the fettuccine alfredo, I had left over garlic alfredo sauce from when I made that pizza last week. Just picked up an 80-cent box of noodles at the market a few days ago, pan fried-up some chicken with rosemary and olive oil and put it all together in a big sauce pan. The alfredo sauce needed salt.
MUST... LEAVE... THE... HOUSE. |

You know you're tempted to continue this spark of insight. Don't fight it. |

In a way it's sort of funny. The difference between he and me was 200 posts. 400 between you two, and 600 between us.
OK, I'm nerding out. I'm definitely bored. Like when I used to take a random number and do factor trees. |

How the hell did alfredo tip you off to that? Are we that obvious?!
... I mean... No, no we are not. What a crazy notion. You're crazy, Xeo. *nods* Interestingly enough, I was looking for a good recipe for alfredo sauce just yesterday... probably will not use it for a bit, but between Pat and my friend Chris giving me the ability to figure out how to use Pat's suggestion, I now have a good idea of what I will be doing. Though first I am going to try the harvest pumpkin pasta sauce I got from work that sounds super awesome. The post counts would be cooler if I had 7238, but I'm gaining regardless. |

I had chicken alfredo for breakfast one day last week...
Are you guys the Illuminati? |

Just made chicken fettuccine alfredo for breakfast, because I was bored.
Not sure whether we should go recycling or to the library now. I've been looking up way too much stuff on Tangled for my own good. EDIT: I just noticed my post count is 7638, Bitmap's is 7438, and Elara's is 7038. Heh. |

I guess it would've depended on how you grew up. Girls who aren't gamers can be really mean to girls who are, especially if the gamer girls don't talk much about "girly" things. Hell, due to that most of the gamer girls I know openly tell me that they hate other girls. Even if I'm not a girl, I still lucked out slightly, because I grew up barely past the age where nerdiness was bullied openly. I mean, I was still bullied ever-so-slightly, but it was extremely infrequent.
I guess the martial arts helped that, too, though. Who knows? Either way, knowing a lot of that kind of inspired me to be more welcoming to people in general, since those nerds who're completely and utterly socially awkward typically haven't had a role model to show 'em what's proper. It's kind of tragic, and I don't like seeing people be as awkward or more awkward than I was when I was younger. So, if I ever mention that I raise children, it's basically that: "Big Brother" stuff. |

I think you even asked me to marry you once, Bitmap... though I think it was over music instead of gaming... I forget, but it's around here somewhere.
Anywho, yeah it's fun to be a girl gamer. Even when you are not a supermodel you are highly sought after--especially when you play D&D and other tabletop RPGs (apparently we are the rarer breed). It's actually kinda odd to me because for so long I knew a lot of girls like me, and then coming here the only female gamer I've met only plays because her husband got her into it. I remember my first convention when I was still in high school. I think at the time that my friend Courtney and I were two of maybe ten females in the entire building. It's gotten a lot better now (women like LARP apparently). Video games always seemed to have more female gamers, though the guys never really believed it. I remember playing PSO and having some guy demand that I send him photos to prove I was a girl... I never did, but it was funny. |
