My mom underwent radiation treatment a couple years back, for her breast cancer. She's had several lumps over the years, but has yet to have a mastectomy. I once saw her without a shirt while she was at home, right after a session and I felt emotionally scarred. Her breast was entirely black, burned from the radiation.
If this saves women from having to endure radiation, chemo, or surgery, I hope with all my heart that this vaccine becomes widely available. |

I also read an article the other day about how a microorganism found in soil will "eat" tumors and leave healthy, human tissue alone, and there is no adverse reaction.
What worries me, however, is that because of these government and pharmaceutical backed therapies like chemotherapy and radiation are currently what is mostly prescribed, that if there was an actual cure for any type of cancer, it wouldn't do well. It's unfortunately all about what and who makes the most money, not who can save the most humans. But don't get me wrong, I'm extremely excited for progress!! |

Should this work, it would definitely mean a fantastic boon to science and women everywhere! Progress in any form for this is good. |

There might just be a viable breast cancer vaccine on the market soon!
Scientists think that by injecting a vaccine that attacks a protein that's found in tumors, but not in breast tissue it can prevent this cancer that thousands upon thousands of women are diagnosed with a year. SOURCE |
