Yeah, but in a sense I'm relieved it's just a persona and that he's not THAT much of a redneck.
The one who really needs to be revealed as a fraud is Ned Holness, a.k.a. Carlos Mencia. Just for fun here's some of Bit of Fun With Fry and Laurie. Gotta love stuff with Hugh Laurie before House: |

I think that should be shown to every single one of his current fans to show just how fake he is. |

Here's Larry the Cable Guy before becoming what we recognize today. Shocking. I can't stop staring at the khakis.

This goes back even further. Breaking from the pattern of posting work from the early part of their careers, here's Redd Foxx near the end of his life:

Here's Sam Kinison before he stopped wearing suits and grew his hair out and started wearing that beret all the time (you know, before he died):

Ok, the balls and sideburns bit is fucking awesome! |

I LOVE Ben Bailey. I didn't know he did stand-up, but I kind of figured since he's so witty on the show.
I lost it on the balls and sideburns bit. |

Anyone know Ben Bailey?
No? Err...Cash Cab guy? Yeah! That guy! He does standup! Why is he on Cash Cab!? He should do standup! |

I need to show these to Ben, he loves Louis CK! |

Haha the Louis CK ones were great. Sounds like he hasn't changed too much, continues to make fun of himself a lot and just got raunchier. |

Louis CK's stand-up bit back in 1987. When he first attempted stand-up in '84 he was given 5 minutes, ran out of material after 3, and almost swore off comedy. Thankfully, he returned:
And here's George Carlin on Johnny Carson in 1966. I can't seem to find his almost straight-laced bit about Christopher Columbus from 1967 (guess YouTube's been pulling them), but man, Carlin with a suit and hair: BONUS, here's another Louis CK: EDIT: Here's another Louis CK. This is from '93 when he and this other guy went on Conan pretending to be dog experts. : |
