She's all right, from what I've been hearing. She had heart surgery last week, after she and Brandon's mom came out to see the baby Michelle just had.

Since we were so bummed about not heading out there for Thanksgiving this year, we might end up visiting right after Christmas.

And, man, you've got balls saying things like that.

VERY pretty!

I'm glad you got to dodge the bullet. When I got home this morning, they wanted to tell me what happened, two of my sisters and my oldest two nieces. I just said "Wait." counted the 4 of them and said "Way too many women for me to care." and walked away. I somehow get away with comments like those, nowadays.

Hiking sounds awesome though. I'm jealous. How is Brandon's Grandmother? I'm sorry you didn't get go to out there.

Glad to hear everyone's Thanksgiving went well, mostly. I just had my first leftover sandwich of the week. Sadly, we don't have much turkey left.

And yeah...apparently I missed A LOT of drama at my house, cuz I left right after dinner. So, I got lucky.

Tell me about it. Brandon and I went out for a hike and when we got back there was some drama about my parents not being able to find six of their silver spoons. Bad enough that we ended up starting dinner an hour late because we were waiting for my uncle and his wife.

It was the first Thanksgiving I've had with my parents in 7 years. Usually we spend it in Arizona with Brandon's grandmother and other family. Afterwards, his mother, Brandon, and I go hiking in the mountains to burn off the excess. Had to do it in L.A. this year.

So here's the Griffith Observatory and downtown L.A. at sunset on our way up Dante's View:

Yeah, Pittsburgh is like an hour from the Ohio/West Virginia border or less.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! (Late as usual)

I woke up to most of my family already being here. I'm not allowed to help with the cooking, so I got to be a big kid and "babysit" all day. Really we all just played and made a REALLY awesome fort out of my living room.

Then, I spent much of the day teaching my 5-year-old niece quotes from "Talladega Nights" that Ricky Bobby movie. She will now tell you when she's going to "Come at you like a Spider Monkey", "Scissor kick you in the back of the head.", when she's "All jacked up on Mountain Dew.", among other things. Best kid ever. We kept the curses out though, because my sister would have skinned me alive with a cheese grater.

Then drove like two hours out to Lancaster PA with my boyfriend to have dinner with his family (they went away for the weekend...and I heard on the radio station that it was middle PA, so naturally, I was all "So...how far is Pittsburgh from here?" and turns out it's pretty damned far...so...) then drove back, and took his brother out drinking, like we've been promising since he turned 21 in September.

And yeah...apparently I missed A LOT of drama at my house, cuz I left right after dinner. So, I got lucky.

I was a bit disappointed in the turkey we had, lol. Looked really good on the outside, but it was pretty dry. That was easily remedied mixing in a bite with some good ol' mashed potatoes and gravy though.

This was my first Thanksgiving here in Pennsylvania and while it was rather lonely it was damn tasty. We went with a fresh turkey instead of frozen and I have to say it makes quite a difference... juiciest bird I've had in ages!

Yeah I'm totally stuffed, ready to pass out!

Was a goofy day today. We just went to my dad's family and they're really goofy... they popped in the movie Mad Mad World which seemed great, but my dad's step mom and her side of the family... holy crap I wanted to smack them. They kept talking and asking the silliest questions during the movie, then kept saying almost every single line before it happened. Needless to say other people were leaving around this time so I jumped ship myself and snuck out, lol.

Got a good meal in though. Phew! Going to my dad's mom's this Saturday too I guess.

Spent Thanksgiving with friends and Family. First at Grandmother's, then my mom's, and finally with True and her family.

Ate 5 plates of food and enough pie to make Santa Clause jealous. This was a great year.

Oh, and I won't be doing Black Friday this year until Friday evening (On Newegg). Instead I will be playing WoW and SC2 all night tonight.

I get my bonus check and an additional $500 from the company to spend on online purchases. Probably gonna use that money to get my mom and dad something.

I know this holiday commemorates exploitation of Native Americans by a cultist group of English separatists, but it's a grand excuse to be with those we love and cherish and eat a glorious carb-overloaded meal.

I hope all of you who hold this holiday dear are among your family and friends and have a wonderful day.

Though I'm not where I wish I could be, I feel I'm where I should be: mashing potatoes at my parents' house.

Happy Thanksgiving!
