It's sad how quickly they're caught afterward anyway, so that little $260 shopping spree will likely turn into jail time. Doesn't seem worth it in the long run no matter how you slice it.

Posts: 7577/9736		 Because they are bastards. I know your pain, since I had something like that happen to me a few years ago. They spent like $365 in a wine store in New Jersey. My credit union moved really fast to get it all back, it just sucked because it was literally the day before we went on vacation for a week and I had no debit card the entire time. You really find out just how few places take checks anymore in those situations.

I'm surprisingly calm about this. I had to file a police report on fraud to my debit card. Someone spent 261.99 on my account at a make up store.... First of all I don't wear make up all the time because I don't have the time or money.

Thank GOD I didn't go under in my account.

I just can't afford some of my bills for a week now.

Why can't people who do identity theft do it to the people who can afford it?
