I'm amazed there's no video up yet, since they had video with a montage and everything put together instantaneous when the mission was aborted a few days ago.
Kind of interesting, though, that the re-scheduled date (yesterday) was the 65th anniversary of Chuck Yeager breaking the sound barrier for the first time. Quite a coincidence. |

I guess that sort of jump has been attempted before but not from that height, hence the records he was gunning for breaking.

Mission aborted for today due to gusty winds. Must suck since they were just about to get him off the ground when the wind suddenly kicked up.
Baumgartner was going for the records of highest jump, longest freefall, breaking the sound barrier, and highest balloon flight. |
