I have not seen that one.
Honestly, I'm not really a fan of more recent horror movies... I find that the lack of plot in favor of gore kills it for me. My favorites are honestly still old films like the classic Universal movies (Dracula and Frankenstein), or House on Haunted Hill (or really anything with Vincent Price in it). And Evil Dead... cause... you know... it's Evil Dead. I have seen Night of the Living Dead... it was filmed right around where I live now and it is cute to see how much pride the town of Evan's City has in that. They have little zombies all over Main Street right now. Zombies are kinda big here. |

Yeah, there is a lot of british, well, film in general that can go either way. Same with American stuff though.
I also have had Stonehearst Asylum recommended to me a lot recently. Has anybody seen it? |

Gore isn't something I focus too much on, so no worries there. That sounds like my kind of stuff though, I may have to check it out. British horror can be hit or miss though. I watched the original Wicker Man the other night and didn't care for it too much haha... |

Have you seen The Woman in Black? It's a british horror movie I watched last year. It's basically a haunted house story, but the atmosphere is so well done. It's pretty much my favorite type of horror movie, very light on gore, but it's still able to be really creepy. |

With Halloween creeping up on us, what are some of your favorite horror/thriller/scary movies? Of the ones I've watched this year I would say Jacob's Ladder (the real Silent Hill movie!) and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre are some of my top favorites. I finally watched Night of the Living Dead and thought it was pretty entertaining as well. Guess I should follow up with Dawn of the Dead soon! Also sad to see Wes Craven pass this year. I'm a huge fan of the Elm Street movies, for the most part. Sadly I can't say his other stuff has been all that great, very hit or miss. But I did enjoy People Under the Stairs, Red Eye, and dare I say it, even Scream wasn't that bad of a watch honestly. On the other hand, I couldn't even finish The Last House on the Left, and I thought The Serpent and the Rainbow was horrible. Hit or miss haha... |
