Man, I did cringe everytime she said that. Her voice was terrible. (especially coming out of the Prime games that had Jennifer Hale).

Time for nightmares.

I recently beat Other M...

I actually didn't hate it, but it is definitely very flawed and the story is indeed horrendous.

Nice, I should look into it then. I'm not really big on the Dynasty Warriors style, but it doesn't have to be AC deep or anything haha. Maybe it's the perfect middle ground.

I think Verdict Day took a literal hour for me to install, update, patch, etc, before I could finally even touch it, and I was pretty disappointed instantly. They got a little too crazy with the online integration for me. AC2 is still probably my favorite.

They're nowhere near as mechanically deep as AC, honestly. They're more like a hack-and-slash. Any given Head will have the same stats at any given upgrade level, but some have one or two special features, the same applies to all main parts. The shield on Alecto has a triple particle cannon as an added feature, for example.

Weapons vary a bit more, since there's a few different movesets for each melee category and a couple firing modes available for each ranged category, with certain weapons having exclusive access to some attacks, like the Twin Buster Rifle from Wing Gundam.

But they're fun and they have great customization. GB3 was the first one to get a full English translation, for the Asia regional release, and thankfully Sony did one thing right by staying region-free.

I wasn't the biggest fan of Armored Core 5 either. Verdict Day was an improvement, but not enough of one. Honestly I just want to return to the style of 3 through Nexus, both the gameplay and tone.

Never played Gundam Breaker, what are they like? I'm pretty disappointed in the direction Armored Core went after 4.

Oh, forgot to mention having finished Avernum 2: Crystal Souls this year.

Also, added those pictures to the last post.

Final Fantasy 5 (GBA) - Once so far for the Four Job Fiesta, working on round 2.

Gundam Breaker 3 (PS4) - I'll get some pictures sometime, really happy with how Alecto and Tisiphone turned out. Not as sold on Megaera so far though.

EDIT: XMS-F1 Alecto and XMS-F3 Tisiphone.

Circle of the Moon is still one of my favorites and still one of the hardest Metroidvania CV's by far.

Tales of Maj'Eyal: Embers of Rage campaign complete (Normal/Adventure difficulty)

Sobek, Orc Sawbutcher, was basically a whirling deathblender. Anything that resisted deathblending stopped at about level 35, and was carefully but unfailingly dealt with via steam-powered devices until then.

Verdict: Is good.

We finished TNT, but it got pretty crazy. Like, MAP28 - surrounded by shit, couple cyberdemons off ledges, etc?

At least one of the cyberdemons was replaced with a Nightmare Cyberdemon. They have missiles and also a fucking laser cannon.

Next on the chopping block are Community Chest 2 and Alien Vendetta. They're both pretty rough so far...

edit: wait, that map didn't even have cyberdemons to begin with. christ, DoomRL Arsenal makes things harder than I thought.

Doom is timeless for me. That mod looks cool.

I find Plutonia to be a fair bit tougher than TNT.

Doom 2 two-man co-op in Ultraviolence, with DoomRL Arsenal.

This does not make things easier. New enemies more than compensate for added firepower.

Especially since I had to solo The Spirit World due to a spawn bug... and got stuck dealing with a Spider Mastermind.

And a Nightmare Spider Mastermind.

Simultaneously.

I had an ammo problem after that level.

We're working on TNT: Evilution on the weekends now. Map 31: Pharaoh is goddamn weird.

Coming up on nearly 70 hours of Xenoblade X and I just finally got my Skell (and flight). I don't think I'm anywhere near the end.

Yeah, I've only got 3 days worth according to my saves. As in 72 hours, not, you know, a couple times over the course of three days.

It's just that I've been playing as a Minuteman and there are a ridiculous number of missions to play on that. You'll be on your way somewhere and suddenly a settlement is under attack and if you don't go to them right away it comes up as a failed mission.

I know I'm supposed to be looking for my son and all, but there's just too much shit to do.

Still playing "Fallout 4." Though I feel like I've been screwing up in not actually playing it when I've had the chance lately.

1. Sly 2 Band of Thieves HD (PS3)
2. Black (Xbox)

Been on an original Xbox kick lately! I guess I rediscovered some strange love for the system because it was the first one I actually bought with my own money back then. So it holds a special place in some ways haha. Anyways yeah, the Xbox has a chunk of some stuff I'd like to get and games for it are still dirt cheap. I still favor the PS2 more, but I think I'll build up my Xbox collection a little bit this year!

Black was incredible. Felt kind of like Killzone, but perhaps better. Excellent gunplay and sound design. A nice quick romp.
